It has okay speakers, so I guess they want you to spend money on a sound bar, etc.. Using the remote as a mouse on the screen is a little touchy.

As it was 1 year old. Several repair attempts were made by the GEEK Squad.( They were very Professional). After 4 tries to repair same TV in 30 days, was notified that a replacement set was approved and set up a delivery date with install. They arrived and started installing the new TV. To my surprise it was an LG 55", not a SONY. Called their GEEK Squad Line several times to no avail. I guess I am a proud owner of an LG 55 " TV, not a SONY . Best buck and a quarter spent!!!

Please someone tell me how to turn off that god awful voice thing the tv sounds like bad TikTok video. I’ll definitely rate this tv lame at best.

I was previously aware that if you use LG Channels and agree to their privacy policy (which is required and I’ve never done), you’re giving LG the right to surveil and collect data from your entire home network and EVERY DEVICE on your home network, yes even your personal computers and portable devices. With this latest TV, if you want to download an App such as YouTube TV, you MUST “register” with LG and thus give them your email, date of birth, home address, etc. and agree to their privacy policy which is again VERY intrusive. Gives them access to your personal information and sells it for marketing and other purposes. Absolutely crosses the line for me when spending hundreds to thousands on a TV and then turning over your personal information to LG in order to utilize the TV too your liking. Also, their packaging is anti-environmental with tremendous overuse of styrofoam. Why not use molded cardboard? So long LG, we are done!
