    So far, so great!

Replaced my builder grade standard stove as part of a remodel. I have only had this for 6 months, and so far its great. It is probably one of my top favorite purchases so far. It just has a very clean look and works well. I haven't tried everything yet on it and will report back if anything changes. I find I need to use glass cleaner/polish (Weiman) after almost every use. The daily cleaner (spray bottle) has very little effect. I've only used the stove a few times and use the range probably 2 times per week average. At most I've used 4 burners at one time. Pros: - looks awesome (I was shopping for a range with controls on the front rather than the standard back/backsplash) - Dual element control - heats well and seems to remain even (I haven't tested anything so just comparing to prior range) Cons/Irrelevant: - Control panel is harder to keep clean - It would be nice if there was a clearer distinction on the control knob to show when you are using 1 or 2 burners on the dual elements (something like a single and double line instead of both having a single line - this may make sense if you see the control knobs. there are only 1 & 2 dots at the off position) - NFC tag is dumb and I haven't found a use for it. You have to be next to the range to connect (which is how NFC works) so haven't found a need since I can just use the control panel - storage underneath is minimal compare to my older range - chime is kinda silly for me - haven't looked to see if there are other options None of the above would deter me from recommending this to anyone.

The range died day after Thanksgiving. Turns out it was 10 yrs old anyway. . . For a last minute purchase this black stainless steel electric range has not disappointed. The oven offers convection and standard baking options, we use both: cookies, cakes, poultry, fish all come out perfect. This range has the very cool purple interior in the oven, it's designed to ease with cleaning. I haven't had the pleasure of performing that task yet. It comes with 3 racks and has 7 levels for rack placement. The steel surfaces are easy to clean. The glass top is easy enough to clean. So far everything that's spilled on to the surface and has dried on or cooked on or even burned on (for that matter), has come clean. The unit comes with a sprayer for cleaning the inside of the oven, and a non-scratch scrubber with a sample of the preferred cleaner for the glass top: nice bonuses if you have no idea what to use to clean it. I'm thus far impressed with the LG product We also ordered the microwave in this collection.

    Design Defect

We purchased this product June 2014. We were very happy until we discovered splatter between the two glass panes of the range door. We have no idea how it got there and we cannot clean it without taking apart the entire door. When we called LG they wouldn't even give us the phone number of a technician to fix the door. The warranty is only one year, but this is a design defect as there should be no way anything can get into the air gap between the two glass panes, yet clearly there is a way and once something is in there, you cannot clean it. Note that the range is currently as clean as the day we bought it, except for the junk between the panes. See pictures. Do not purchase!

We wanted a slide in look but not the slide in price so we purchased this LG. We like how everything functions so far. The cook top seems like it might be a little too finicky for me. But so far my very expensive Heinkel pans and my annodized aluminum pans are working well. I was used to just sliding the pans off of the hot burner onto a cold burner but there is no sliding with this stove. Only lifting. Our first cookover has left a few marks that I guess are now permanent. We clean the stove after every cooking event. But I had not memorized the book and didn't know I was supposed to get a hotpad and a straight razor to get the spill up immedialty. Oh well. Nothing can ever stay perfect. The oven has 3 racks which is nice and very large. If you switch the oven mode say from bake to Convection bake you have to push start again. I didn't know that and the items sat in there for a while not baking. Overall nice purchase and love the color of the interior of the over.

I had a Samsung Range that we purchased in 2009. We had several issues with the wiring to the tower in the back with wires burning out and melting part of the control for the burner knobs, we also had several issues with the convection fan not turning off running for days where we had to unplug the unit to stop the fan. We purchased a Whirlpool Range to replace but that was made with very low quality steel. The oven door got very hot and with toddlers we did not like this flaw, and the timer on the unit you could not hear when it went off unless you were standing in front of it. We exchanged that unit for this LG product and we are very happy. The timer is loud and has a pleasant song it plays, The only issue I have is the controls display does not light up, and the knobs for burners are easily turned on by leaning on them. Other than that I am very happy with this unit.

It's a very nice looking range. I haven't baked in it yet except for a couple of pizzas & they cooked perfect. The front where the knobs are stick out a tiny bit more then my prior range so I actually stopped using the kitchen cabinet drawer closest to the range. Caution:It is extremely easy to lean against the knobs & turn them on accidentally. It's happened 4 times to me so you really need to watch that with this range. There is a black seal on 3 sides of the glass cooking top but not on the front so anything can go down into the electrical area on the front of this range as you cook. I don't understand why they didn't put the seal there too.

I really love the look of the slide-in range. I also like the sounds and display although the buttons take a little getting used to. The glass top does not seam to clean quite as good as an older stove I had and from what I've read it can scratch if you use anything too harsh on it. I am either still getting used to baking with the convection setting or it is not quite calibrated as it should be as baking times seam to be a little on the lengthy side when using the default temperature setting difference. One other thing that has bothered me some is that the bottom drawer which I typically use to store baking pans does not extend out very far making it a little tricky to get pans in and out. The ultraheat burner is nothing great but oven heats up fairly quickly. Overall, it does what it needs to do and I love the look.

It is not often that I can justify spending over a thousand dollars for a range oven combo but this is quite worth the price. And Best Buy did price match! The design is beautiful, the materials are first rate, the function of the range is super although my wife purchased a large set of all clad cookware due to LG's caution of using aluminum or copper bottomed cookware due to scratch or other discoloration. The oven is bright blue and comes with a spray bottle to spritz water into the oven during cleaning. I have cleaned ovens for over 50 years (I cleaned my mom's oven for her) and not using the caustic chemicals is a huge plus. The fit and finish are automobile like, straight lines, easy, silent door and drawer, knobs are easy to read as is the electronic display panel. We could not be happier with this appliance and Best Buy.

Liked the slide-in models from an appearance perspective much better than the traditional style. Did look at several traditional from various manufacturers. Liked the cooktop layout better on this one overall. Nice usage of space. Oven is pretty large. However, due to the oven size, you do lose a good bit of space in the drawer underneath - if you previously stored pots/pans in that compartment. So you'll be relocating several of those. Features are excellent. Initially didn't think we'd like the controls on the front, but actually do. And for those postings that indicate a safety issue with knobs turning by mistake, I'm not sure I agree. You do need to push in to turn, so not as much of a chance. And if concerned with kids doing, well, perhaps other issues instead... :-) Haven't used much to date as just received a few days ago. Would recommend based on experience so far.

Easily installed. * Note - be sure outlet for range is low to the floor or range will not slide all the way back to the wall. Had it a 2 months and so far its easy to clean the top and have only needed light cleaning in the oven. High power burners heats water quickly. Love cooking roasts and whole chicken in the convection oven setting. Conventional setting is best for pizza and cookies to avoid over browning the top of the pizza or cookies. I like having the options. I'm a big, bearish guy, so i recommend caution around the knobs, they can turn with a bump (I was vacuuming). Now that I have adjusted I love my new range. All of my appliances are LG and I would definitely buy LG appliances again.

This oven has many modern features that, alone, I enjoy having. It features a self steam cleaning option, it has a built in lock mechanism that also disables the burners from engaging (nice for peace of mind with kids or pets), it has a few smart features that allow you to check on the oven from a distance or self diagnose for issues. It’s BEAUTIFUL, the unique blue color inside the oven is gorgeous, and the nearly flat back ridge makes it feel very nice and sleek. Overal, I love this oven. The price point is very high though, and for that one reason I can understand why this item isn’t necessarily an option for everyone.

The high reviews for this LG range convinced me to buy it. I have had it two weeks. The glass top is a nightmare to clean and 10 minutes of cleaning after each cooking event. There are already marks I cannot remove. It is incredibly disappointing. I've had glass cook tops for years and never have I had such a nightmare cleaning. The oven is quite nice and actually crisps my roasted sweet potatoes which has NEVER happened. It's till new, but the cleaning is a nightmare - cleaner, razor blade, Dawn.....clean, clean, clean.....ugh.

I was very hesitant to pay the high price for this stove but after several months of use I'm very pleased with it. The oven cooks fast and even which was expected but the cooktop is where I've been blown away. I was very worried about how difficult it would be to keep the top looking shiney and new. During cooking it gets very messy and almost everything sticks to it. A wet sponge does nothing to help but if you use the included cleaner and no scratch pad it does an impeccable job every time.

The product is beautiful and looks great in the kitchen. However, the cooktop takes a long time to heat up. The convection is something that is new to me, but that also seemed to take a long time to use. The cooktop has a mark that won't go away. The cooktop cleaner that we got with the product got on the stainless steel a little bit and scratched it. It looks beautiful, but I am not sure how I feel about its operation and how easily it has scratched.

This range looks so nice compared to my old white bland Kenmore. I wasn't sure about getting a flat top but it seems to be all there is these days, just have to be more careful and gentle when handling pots and pans. And make sure to clean it with approved flat top cleaners. It heats up fast and cooks pretty evenly. The only gripe i have is when i set the convection temp it automatically changes it to about 25 degrees lower so in order to get a temperature of 350, set it at 380 ish.

I did not realize what a sad condition my previous stove was in until I started cooking on this LG model. The burners heat up lightning fast for an electric stove and the oven is the only one that I have noticed a huge remarkable difference using the convection setting. The finish of Black Stainless is beautiful. The only thing I would change is the quality of the glass stove top. It does not clean up as easily as I would like it to.

I really want to like this but I'm just not sure yet. Used it 3 times now and I find that it's as if I've never used a stove/convection before. I made breaded pork chops which should only take 30mins but it took closer to 40min. The oven just didn't seem hot. Then I couldn't figure out how to increase the temp. while the timer was on. The included booklet is useless. Google didn't help either. I'm also finding that the stove top scratches way more easily than my last stove with a black glass top.

I like the panel on the front, but does not alluminale well in a dark kitchen. Bigger size oven with convection than our previous with the coils on the bottom. Should cook evenly, but I notice items on the upper rack still cook quicker. Nice with no coils on the bottom though which makes it easier to clean. Knobs for multi burners are a little confusing at first since the smaller burner has the temp backwards from the larger burner.

Bought this in black stainless. Replaced kitchen aid slide in range due to fire hazard. The dog learned to turn the burners on. We removed the knobs which solved that problem, but overall it was time for new appliances and Best Buy prices could not be beat. This range locks the door and the burners with the lock feature. Unless the puppy learns to hold a certain button down for a few seconds, we’re good. The oven and stovetop do a good job with the cooking which is important, too. I guess.

We love the glass top and easy clean Pro bake oven. Great range and we purchased it with Black stainless steel. No finger prints or smudges. Very easy to keep clean. Convection oven works flawlessly. Beware with the front control knobs. If you bump them or lean against them you turn on the burners or the oven. You can safeguard against this by turning on the loc system that will lock all knobs when not in use.
