Great range but difficult to clean the top

When the burners on our electric range began to go out, we decided it was time to get gas in our home. We've wanted a gas range for the longest time. After we crossed the hurdle of getting gas to the house, we decided on this range. It was a bit of a headache to finally get it delivered due to multiple delays and backorders, but it arrived and was installed by Best Buy's delivery/installation crew. They did a good job. What I've noticed over the past two years of owning this range is it is difficult to keep clean. The top of the range, around the burners, is porous and whatever gets on it will stain or discolor it. It doesn't matter if you wipe it immediately, you may risk getting burned if you're using the stove at the moment. Other stovetops have a painted glaze that doesn't look porous - that would be a better surface to clean and keep clean. All I can say is that I've been cleaning this range a lot.

I only wish that BEST BUY's customer service worked as well - Seems that there is no live answering of phones at stores...Pretty bad that I can't get in touch with anyone except people at some call center - somewhere that can't help/ I guess Best Buy isn't the place to buy
