Customers consistently note the excellent picture quality and ease of use of this 60" Class 4K Ultra HD Smart TV. Many appreciate the smart remote and the TV's sleek design, while some users point out backlight inconsistencies in darker scenes. The HDR functionality also receives positive feedback, although a few mention needing adjustments for motion clarity. Overall, the positive comments on picture quality and ease of use outweigh the concerns about backlight and motion settings.

After hours of research, my husband and I decided to get this TV over the higher priced Samsung 8000 in an attempt to save money, even after reading the reviews about backlighting issues on this TV. We should have listened to the reviewers. The backlighting issues were so bad that we would be watching a show and 1/3 of the screen would be lighter than the other 2/3. It was very distracting and annoying. We ended up returning this TV and upgrading to the 8000. We couldn't be happier. Save yourself the time and irritation and get the Samsung TV. You won't be sorry.

It's a terrible tv, unless your image is not moving. This tv has sooo much lag. Insanely blurry, my 1080p tv was more clear than this. If you are looking at pictures though this tv will be great for you!

Let me start by saying that I am a consumer who has usually purchased Samsung products, including 3 HDTV's in the last 8 years. They are all still performing beautifully. However, I was in the market for a larger screen size and wanted a new 2016 4K model. When I saw the ad for the new LG60UH7700, I couldn't believe how feature packed this unit was....HDR, Dolby Vision, Quontom Dot Technology, Harmon Kardon sound, IPS panel, etc. Plus it was promo priced at $1699.99. I didn't want to wait for the new Samsungs. This TV is stunning to look at without even being turned on...very high end and futuristic looking. It even has a magic remote with voice control and a great new web OS. I pulled the trigger and bought the very first one that my local Best Buy had in stock. There wasn't even one on display yet. Unfortunately that is where the "honeymoon" ended. I spent 10 days trying to calibrate this baby. Trust me...I am not a novice to setting up hdtv's. No matter what settings and options within those setting I chose, the picture was never bright enough. The colors were excellent...but the picture was never brilliant or even outstanding. My remote was on overtime trying to produce satisfying results...but to no avail. The peak brightness is too low and so is the contrast under most conditions. It just didn't wow me like my older Samsungs did when they were purchased. Also the grey uniformity was poor. Watching a Black and White movie, part of the screen appeared to have a pinkish hue. This is sometimes referred to as DSE...dirty screen effect. When I went back to Best Buy a few days later, they had a floor model in the showroom. I asked the tech to turn down the color to zero, and I noticed the same thing on that panel as well. I really wanted to love this set. I tried to live with it for 13 days. I then decided this was not something I could be happy with, and so back it went. LG...you gotta do better. Not all of us can afford your OLED's. Go back to the drawing board with your "Super UHDTV". I am going back to SAMSUNG! By the way , check the review of this model on "rtings.com" for some further verification before you buy this LG series. Sorry LG. I am really a nice guy...but I had to be honest.

Don't waste your time and money on this tv. I could never get the picture to look right. Always had a milky look to it. Took it back and got the 2017 model( uj7700).

Finally moving out of our apartment & into our first home wifey & I decided it was time for a big screen in the living room. Wanted to go 65" but the logistics of the corner mount we decided on restricted me to the 60" models of which there are very few (why most manufacturers only do 55 & 65 i don't understand). After doing some research I narrowed it down to this LG model & the Samsung KS8000. In the end, the difference maker for us was that the Samsung got horrendous reviews in one area - view from an angle. Meanwhile, the LG got stellar writeups on this. Being that we corner mounted the TV, this made it a no-brainer.
3 months in we really love the picture on this TV, and the sound is good enough for us that no soundbar was needed. Setup was super easy once our Fios was installed, had her connected to the wifi and running perfectly within minutes. The magic remote is also a fantastic feature, very intuitive and the pointer functionality makes it's use a breeze.
The only complaint we have honestly is the app availability. LG's Web OS was touted as being one of the best out there & having lots of apps available - sadly, it doesn't. I love that Netflix is built right in, but the lack of HBO Go, WWE Network, Showtime On Demand etc made it that we had to pick up another fire stick to use with it - not a dealbreaker, just something that in a higher end model i think needs to be addressed.
Apps to one side you really can't go wrong with this 4K unit from LG.

I bought this TV and the second I turn it on I was disappointed. The color are dark and dull, there is no WOW to the picture. Even on 4K it was terrible, the picture on 4K was pixelated! Very disappoint with this product. I went back to the store and with no problem exchanged it for a Samsung KS8000 now that's a good TV and I recommend it.

I went to Best Buy to purchase the Samsung 8000 at th Black Friday sale price of 1199. Spoke with Best Buy sales and they led me to believe this tv was a better tv. WRONG! The colors are not vivid. Then when I returned it, the sale was over on the Samsung 8000 and Best Buy would not match the sale price.Very frustrating experience.

TV is great, but the service is horrendous. I came to the first store to purchase this TV, because the site said they had them in stock. Apparently they didn't. This was not a big deal to me, I understand stuff happens. So I ordered in the first store to pickup in another. When I got to the other store, they could not release the TV to me that I have already paid for...because the employee in the first store had the fulfillment date set for a few days later. To cut the story short, I had to leave the store and come back the next day...all because their system could not release MY tv. They had the TV sitting in front of me, but couldn't release it to me because of THEIR software. Offered a $40 inconvenience refund, which I never got. I had to rent a truck twice because of this :( No apology was EVER given. Pretty sad. I will only go to best buy to test products and ask info, only to purchase on Amazon.

Returned this tv and ended up getting oled flat tv 55 in. Black level is sub par especially if your watching it on a different angles black is more grayish. Now if got it setup eye level it's actually not as bad. Like I said not bad it's ok

This TV looked great in the store on display. As soon as I got it set up, everything worked fine, 4K content looked on par and I liked the WebOS interface. However, this TV has horrible black uniformity and equally bad light bleed issues. The backlight on all black scenes with white text? Abysmal. It lights up separate panels as text moves across the display. If you watch anything in the dark, skip this TV. Took it back in less than 24 hours and got the Samsung 65KS8500 and now am very pleased.

I had this TV 1 day and then it died, the screen went blank but the sound was there yet and then that went bad. because this TV costed over 1000.00 dollars I did not want to replace it with another one so i went with a different brand and a 55" instead and saved my self 420.00 dollars and I am happy with that purchase.

When shopping for a new TV, I quickly learned of the importance of HDR. I also learned that not all HDR tvs had the same technology, and that few brands offered TVs supporting Dolby Vision. HDR is great but when spending my hard earned money, risking it all on only one HDR technology was not in my interest. This TV offers both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Netflix streams high quality films in both technologies, so no matter what is offered, this TV will display it properly.
On top of having a great picture, the navigation and integration with the devices I already owned was quick and easy. I love the magic remote and it works well with my Hopper 3 Dish Receiver as well as my Dolby surround system. My Xbox One S looks amazing on it as well. I couldn't be happier. So glad I didnt skimp and buy a 4k tv without HDR, or a 4k HDR10 only tv. Dolby Vision is the technology to have folks. Highly recommended.
