Customers have good things to say about the cooling power, quiet operation, and ease of use of this 6,000 BTU window air conditioner. Many appreciate its size, fitting well in bedrooms, and the inclusion of a remote control adds to the convenience. A few customers reported receiving damaged units, highlighting a potential issue with quality control.

We had a very small window so finding an AC unit was difficult. This unit fit perfectly with an easy installation. Light weight and easy for one person to install. We installed in a bedroom in our upstairs that gets very hot in the summer in the window unit keeps things cool on hot days. We would recommend this to anyone who has a small window but still wants good cooling capacity.

Great compact a/c. Originally bought because it is the only one that I can find that fit in our tiny attic bedroom window. Bought a 2nd for another small bedroom and came back to buy a 3rd for another small room and disappointed it’s sold out. Not exactly quiet, but does the job of cooling well for such a compact unit. Easy to store and not heavy.

Excellent cooling power. It is hard to see the display unless you are standing in front of the unit because of the way the top of the unit is angled.
I think it’s nice white noise, but there’s no mode for cooling I’d deem as “extremely quiet” like I read other reviewers call the noise level, except maybe low fan - but that doesn’t do enough for me to warrant using that setting.
Still, it cools the heck out of a studio apartment and it’s a decent price. This is my second summer using the AC.

Will always trust Best Buy and LG products!

I did the research and, because I love LG products, I thought I would try this LG AC unit. Also, because I trust Best Buy (I purchased my 65" LG HDTV there a couple of years ago), I opted for the free delivery and had the unit delivered. I installed it myself and from the minute I turned it on, I was amazed. It was a hot, humid day in Chicago but within 20-25 minutes, my entire 800 square foot condo unit was cool and humid free. It is quiet, I mean really quiet. Before going to bed, I turned the temp up to 70 degrees and the Energy Saver Mode on and was shocked when I woke up in the morning and was actually cold. And this from someone who sleeps with my bedroom window open an inch or so even in the dead of winter. LG and Best Buy...a perfect match for me.

I used to have a basic model Midea 5000 btu window ac with basic knobs, no dehumidifier, no temperature control, no energy saver, and it kept it so cold that I had to wear socks or shut it down. This model is different because it cools less, unless I turn the temperature down to 64F. The energy saver is a bit annoying turning on and off automatically. The front grille design is poor because of the fact that I easily lost a screw during setup because of its angle. I had to fish it out with a magnet. The side panels were also annoying and difficult to screw on without a long handled screwdriver. With that said, it does work to cool down the main floor of a small house (around 650-800 sq feet), if I keep all the doors open in
the rooms. The air flow is a bit annoying because of the house interior blocking some flow, despite the louvers. It's nice to have the dehumidifier feature and temperature control, along with timer settings. I am able to set it easily to turn off after a certain amount of hours, or turn on. The timer resets to the energy saver mode automatically, despite what I last had it set as. Overall, a good buy.

I waited a while to see how it held up during the summer months. For a not large bedroom, it worked great. I recommend sealing tape because the sides alone don't keep hot air out and cool air in. Once I did that, it was great.

Great AC! Got it right before the summer started and just needed a newer unit to keep my bedroom cool. Does a great job and I love the energy saver component also. Comes with a simple remote but it runs so quietly and smoothly! Definitely recommend

So far, it has been a good unit. My only complaint is that in the energy saving mode, it constantly has to turn back on to check the temperature and decide whether it's going to stay on or shut back off. It took some getting used to at first, since it's in our bedroom & kept waking me up every time it would turn on. Seems to be very efficient, cools effectively, and is fairly quiet for what it is.

Terrific Air Conditioner!

This air conditioner is wonderful! Installation instructions were pretty easy. I bought it to cool my living room/dining room; but it actually cools the whole downstairs of my house. The thing I love — my old air conditioner had a drip drain and I would have to have the water drain into a bucket on my covered porch. This air conditioner doesn’t drip! It has what’s called a skinner fan inside which expels the condensation (it’s in the description if you want to know specifics). I purchased this air conditioner about 1-1/2 months ago and have absolutely no complaints. I love it! So much so, I bought two more today of the exact same model for my second and third floors.

My previous 8000 BTU started to go, so I went to an Emerson quiet cool 8000 BTU. It turned out to be a mini Peterbilt truck engine. VERY LOUD!!! At 6000 BTU is very very quiet. On its lowest setting I can easily hear the TV and hold a conversation without yelling. It cools the room perfectly. I would not recommend for a very large room.

Installation requires some preparation (May 2020) unit is 32 pounds. Understanding features is important. Overall, this quiet AC is a money saver, with very efficient temp control features including remote. Way more than enough efficiency for 140 sf room as this unit helps cool adjacent rooms (with doors open), experienced in July & 2/3 August, Tampa Bay. If not at home during day, turn it off, it will cool off room quickly. Vents blow upward and not directly on a nearby body avoiding potential sore throats. If you think it is pricey, think twice.

I love the remote because it makes it easy to turn on and off without having to get up multiple times. But switching modes with the remote is difficult to know which setting it's being programed to. Sometimes I don't want the energy saving mode on so I do have to get up to check which setting it's on.
Some people complained about the unit going off and for us it does that when the energy saving setting is on. It only goes off when it's cool enough in the house and I love that feature. It never randomly turns off but only when the room is cool enough! And you can program the temperature to your liking. 68-74 degree Fahrenheit has been our go to temperature range so far this spring and summer.
(((( There was a time it did kept going off when in energy saving mode.... like every 10seconds.... A family member turned up the temperature to 80 degrees on a hot summer day not understanding how a/c units work. They thought the higher the setting the cooler it will be. Well guess what ? On energy saving mode it kept shutting off b.c it recognized that it was a hot day / room and blowing warm air in a hot room would be wasting energy.. so it kept shutting off and we thought something was wrong with the a/c until I checked the temperature. We had a good laugh about it afterwards when I explained how temperature works))))
This unit is noisy though, have to turn up our tv double the volume making the tv bass boom throughout the house. However, it does the job at keeping us cool during the humid hot months. And there's also a dry setting to collect the moisture in the air which I thought was cool. No pun intended...
Setting up required me to use my work gloves (which helped grip the unit without it slipping out my hands) it required two people for my household to set up. the set up manual and instructions were easy to understand. But It was slightly difficult getting the screws to turn in the back , I'ma lefty so maybe that's why but we made it work for us. This is the first time we didn't have to use socks and old t-shirts to put in the window to close the gaps from the outside. Lol . Overall, I do really like this unit just wish it was quieter and lighter.
