Many appreciate the ease of setup and user-friendly remote control, along with the value for the price. Good TV but suffers from Dirty Screen Effect

Overall I'm pretty happy with this TV. Upgrading from a 40" 720p plasma to a 65" 4K will make an impact. The unit I got has a bit of DSE, meaning when panning from side to side it appears as though the screen is dirty. It is most evident when the screen is mostly green, like on football or golf, which is pretty annoying. Also, I'm not super impressed by the picture when watching football, even without taking into account the DSE. I have no idea if the High Dynamic Range actually does anything. We've been playing around with the different picture settings and the HDR settings are rarely the best option, depending on what we are watching. The back lighting can be a little annoying when there's a mostly dark background with a small amount of brightness. The light seems to bleed out, slightly lighting the area around the text like during the end credits of a show. The Smart TV features are more enjoyable than I thought they'd be. Nice not having to use the Xbox to stream content.

A quality tv, picture quality is excellent. The pointer should be better or the sames as the 55 LG tv. Simple operations.

I'll just get the negatives out of the way first... I'm just getting into 4K and this is my first 4K TV. After playing around with the picture options, 4K Blu-rays don't appear much better on this TV than a standard Blu-ray with the built-in processing does. Also, if you have any of the smooth/clear processing options enabled, anything on the screen that is sorta small and moving (think wide shots of superheros or vehicles) flickers in and out of existence which is really distracting. I'm not sure if this is a problem with more expensive TVs. Finally, there have been few niggles with the apps: Netflix seems to error more so on the TV than it does on our PS3 or phones, and the Amazon video app deactivates smooth/clear processing every time you close the app, but only for in-app viewing. If you want the processing back on the next time you open Amazon then you have to turn it back on in the TV's options. I spoke with a Samsung representative about this and they said it is the Amazon app, not the TV, that makes this change. Other than this, the TV performs well. I bought it for the extra pixels that 4K TVs have for watching 3D movies and it definitely looks TONS better than a 1080p 3D TV. I also bought this one because it's one of the few passive 3D TVs out there. The passive 3D works like a charm...no ghost images or such like you might get with an active system. Plus, 3D glasses from the IMAX work on this unit. The only issues here are if you get too close or too far to either side of the TV while watching 3D. The image gets distorted a bit. I think it's because the disparity between the two images (parralax?) is too great for your brain to seamlessly piece it together. You have to be pretty close or somewhat far to either side for this to happen though. Bottom line, the 4K image on this TV isn't what I was hoping for and definitely not as good as the images you see in the stores on the $3,000+ units but that's not why I bought it.

This is our first 4K TV and we absolutely love it. We did a lot of research prior to our purchase and it was between this TV and an equivalent of another brand. Ideally we would've wanted a OLED tv but it was out of our price range. Okay, first things first 4K is STILL so amazing without an OLED tv. We really love it. We also love how easy it is to navigate...everything!

I have a big complain with the work done by the Geek Squad because they did not completed their job of instructing me on the use of the 65" LG TV and never followed up with me although I colled the store sking to be contacted by the people that came to my house for the installation. After several weeks I still use "trial and error" approach to control the TV. The User manual is very sketchy and incomplete.

Had the TV for about 2 weeks now and love it! The picture upscaling for 1080 is terrific. I am very impressed. In fact I almost forgot it was made for 4K. Finally streamed UHD on Netflix and its beautiful. I look forward to more 4K content and the upcoming HDR. Streamed Airplay from an iMAC Retina and the colors were almost exact. And Apple TV looks incredible on here! Don't get me wrong, I would have preferred OLED, but couldn't bring myself to spend the money. I did a lot of research and this ended up being the next best thing with 3D and HDR compatible features in my price range. I will admit, I noticed very slight light bleed at the top, but only because i was looking for it. Setting LED Dimming on high seemed to take care of it. We have this hooked up to a pioneer SC-91, which has the HDMI HDCP 2.2 compatible connections. Tried the 3D with the included passive glasses and it's superb!
