While we were completing the finishing of our basement, I began to review the different brands of 4K TVs from LG, Samsung, Sony and Vizio. There were positive reviews on each brand, but when I looked at the TV in the store, the LG just jumped out at me so I made the purchase. I am glad that I did! The picture quality is amazing, especially when you have a 4K movie to view. Watching a baseball or football game looks amazing! The colors just seem to jump right out of the TV. The interface to switch between the TV, APPs and TV configuration is seamless. LG even gives you the ability to switch between different levels of HDR depending on what you are watching, I have used this feature only a few times as most movies and shows that I watch look great on the default setup. The remote is a little different, as it like a mouse. It is a little strange at first, but easy to use and you get use to it. The only thing that is a problem with the TV, is that the picture isn't as crisp when the picture is dark with a lot of black. The picture quality at those times is average, but it is tolerable. Overall, I am very well pleased with the TV and I am glad that I purchased it.

Overall TV seems to be great, however in my experience the sound quality was not as good, you really have to bump up the volume to make it audible and for clarity, I compared this against my older TV's. You might find it okay if you use a sound bar or if it is connected to any kind of surround sound external speakers. The picture quality is great, slightly better on dark tones/scenes, however overall I didn't see a great improvement compared to the prior 1 or 2 models. In my opinion, it is quite debatable since it requires you to shell out the extra $400-$600 for this little improvement. The OS has some great features, certainly leads to good user experience with that. There are voice features as well, I didn't explore it very much but seems like it might come handy. For someone who doesn't pay much attention to surround sound and standard 4k experience on a smart TV, this is not a bad deal. I would personally prefer spending the extra dollars on a slightly newer model than this one, which has significant improvements on picture quality but not sure of the sound, since it comes with a standard 2 20 W speakers, which I am not a big fan of, which can be supplemented with a sound bar or some other entertainment system, which comes with multiple speakers to get the real surround sound experience. Also, this TV doesn't come with the standard audio/video ports anymore, so research that enough, to make sure your current devices have a way to be connected as before, without investing too much on the newer cables.

I looked around for a little time before purchasing this TV. I was looking for great sound, color and quality. I like the web browser and ability to use Amazon, Hulu and Netflix. Cons I don't get full use of sling tv and I have to use my fire stick despite the fact it's a smart tv. It works well with my lg sound bar. It is easy to set up and I did it alone and I am not very technical. Overall great tv for the price.

I spent a lot of time planning out my purchase of a TV in the 65" class. I started out weeding thru the reviews and technical data to arrive at 3 Tv's I wanted to see in person. I went to look at Samsung and Sony products and ended up noticing the LG in the store, I felt it had the warmest picture of the ones we looked at, but I was leaning toward buying the Sony as it was very close in picture and the value of the Sony with the current sale was greater than the LG. But I kept coming back to that picture and thinking I liked the LG picture more, which was the important part of getting a TV like this in the first place- then salesman told me it was going on sale the next day for $200 less, and that was all she wrote! I went back the next day and bought the LG and I have had zero regrets, it fits the room and the picture blows away everyone who sees it for the first time. It takes some adjustments to get it right for the room, but once you find your preferred set up- it's beautiful ! And overall it ended up being far less expensive than the Samsung or Sony I originally went to look at.

It was more expensive then similar models at the wholesale stores, but this one had a better refresh rate, 120mhz - Trumotion 240.
It was worth the extra money to me with this large of a screen. I just wish it had more than 3 HDMI inputs though. They go fast with Satellite TV, BluRay player and game systems.

We don't use the smart TV features because we own an Apple TV, but the picture and sound are perfect for our us. There were a few glitches with the backlight during the first month, but after the breaking in period, they have disappeared. We would recommend this TV.

It was the 240 motion rate that made me get this tv. The picture is amazing in 4K and even the smart tv aspect is amazing with the apps preloaded already. I know this is silly, but if you watch cartoons the picture (when the character is moving) becomes glitchy. Other than that I love the tv

I brought this to update the one I had in the living room. I was torn between this LG TV and a Samsung, but after many recommendations from my friends I choose the LG. They said it was the better brand. I like the Samsung because the picture seemed clearer and brighter, but people say it didn't have the realistic feel. I would say the biggest thing I like about this TV is the Magic Remote and interface. I really haven't had time to really get into cause my 12 year old daughter stay on it. She somehow is able to change channel with her phone and project whatever she watching on her phone or IPad on the screen. I little bit too smart for my blood. I like how it has a wireless adapter built in therefore not needing to purchase a separate adapter. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the picture on some channel is a bit foggy (too soft). I don't know if it's something I did during the installation of it but I plan on having the Geek Squad come out and professional set it up.

It's a great smart TV for the price. I just wish it had more apps available for download, such as HBO Go, Max Go, AMC, etc. I have noticed there is a glitch with volume sometimes. When I try turning it down, it won't and I have to power the TV off. This happens about once a week.

Replaced a Vizio smart tv, 55 in class with LED HD. This LG is much nicer. The picture is superb even though most broadcasts are not in 4K and, most importantly, the smart aspect of this tv is much more responsive and easy to use. The remote has a mouse like pointer on the screen making it very easy to choose item on screen. Nothing will ever be as nice as my old LG plasma tv, but this is a nice alternative for the price. It's not as nice as OLED, but the picture is great and it's a good deal for the money.

I purchased this LG 65" 4K TV because I needed a replacement for an older Samsung I'd given away. 4K is the future and all I've heard and read is that more content is just around the corner. I was also interested in 240kz vs 120 or less hz. There is plenty of confusing conversations about this subject. I decided to buy this one based on reviews and that for a few hundred more I would get the 240hz. Even though I don't have 4K shows yet on my Direct TV, I can tell a difference in the regular broadcasts. The color is deeper and on some shows you get more of a sense of picture depth than I'd had on my 1080P hi-def Samsung. I will search for some internet 4K programs and wait for programming to begin to appear. I'm happy with this TV and would buy it again and recommend it.

Great TV and really cool remote. More like a smart TV mixed with a WII remote, which makes everything easier to select. TV is great moving back and forth through the different Apps and great picture quality.
