Nice size screen, picture quality is very good...even better when viewing 4k content. Off angle viewing is just as sharp when standing in front. 3D is very cool on it.

This TV has absolutely blown my socks off. What an amazing picture. Just look at all the reviews here. If you’ve got four grand to spend on a television, this is your baby.
But what I really want to talk about is the 3D feature. As you may know, LG has REMOVED 3D from their 2017 models, so this set is your last chance. Now I can hear you saying “I don’t have much interest in 3D so I don’t care.” That’s the reason that LG gives in removing it from future models. But all it takes is one viewing of a good 3D Blu-ray disk on your OLED65E6P such as “Avatar” or “Gravity” or a 3D version of a Disney classic like “Frozen” or “Beauty and the Beast” to realize how breathtaking it looks on this set, often better and brighter than in the theaters. Also this set uses ‘passive’ glasses. Unlike the expensive ‘active’ glasses some other sets use, they require NO batteries. It uses the exact same glasses you get in the theaters. Best Buy sells them for less than 7 dollars each, unlike the “active” ones that are often 50 dollars or more, not to even mention the battery costs you won't worry about. . Even though this feature won't be available on hardware many 3D movies are still scheduled for release in this format throughout 2017 and beyond. Most important, a simple question. If you’re going to spend four grand on a TV, why wouldn’t you want this feature available to you if you ever want to experience 3D? The new LG OLED65E7P which replaces it costs the same WITHOUT 3D.
I just wanted you to understand this before the 3D train leaves the station.

Had an older LG Plasma TV for many years, But needed a larger newer brighter and lighter TV for a new living room. Saw it in the store, compared the resolution and brightness to others on display and spent the extra money for the "top of the line LG" due to generally good experience with the company across produyct lines, and TVs. Works well, easy to integrate with my Dish TV, and remote controles. Usually do a full technical comparison and learning exploration when buying a new product but after some questions and comparisons simply plunked down the money and set it up for an install by the geek squad. Got the install discount as part of the sale price and I am getting too old to do it myself. Double check the mounting bracket at LG has a weird way of mounting they bracket holes low so many brackets dont hide themselves behind the screen.. Fortunately the geeks brought a space known to work bracket instead of the one the store recommended and sold to me.
This is a very light weight TV so a heavy duty bracket is not needed.

I really love the looks of this tv. I feel the soundbar that comes pre installed in the tv is truly amazing. I noticed not a lot of people tend to mention that so I wanted to make sure I did. I compared this tv to its rivals "sony & samsung" and I felt this tv beat them hands down. The only thing I dislike about this tv is if you have the motion plus set on you get a lot of flicker on certain scenes in movies. You can fine tune this but I haven't found a way to make it flawless except for turning true motion off. I compared the 2016 model to the 2017 model and I actually feel the 2016 is superior too the 2017 model and its a lot cheaper also!

This is an excellent television...best I have ever had. The blacks are phenomenal and the colors so vibrant they jump out at you. For those that say 3D is dead, this TV wants to talk to you. My prior tv was also 3d but because it had active glasses and the tv itself I stopped watching 3D. However, when I tried it on the LG OLED it made me a believer again. I recommend this over the G series as the 2k cost difference is not worth it since there is basically 0 difference in the displays of the units

This is the best TV ever made at the moment, period. Amazing picture quality, clarity and absolute true blacks that cant be matched by any other display technology. Accurate black levels will enhance contrast which is arguably the most important factor in picture quality as well as providing a superior HDR picture. This is because OLED TV's can control every single individual pixel by turning them completely off.to create true blacks when needed. This model can handle both HDR10 & Dolby Vision HDR which makes it future proof. If you want the best picture you can get. This is the TV to buy at this time.

The OLED picture is fantastic! I'm watching all my old DVDs and Blu-rays again because they look so much better on this TV. And love the passive 3D, no flicker and no heavy, expensive battery operated glasses.

This television produces the best picture I've seen. There's not a lot of 4k sources, but what there is, is beautiful. Especially the 4k Blu-Ray dvds. The color is amazing. The operating system is easy to understand, but having Bestbuy do the set up and mounting makes everything run correctly immediately.

It had been a couple of years since I first saw the OLED TVs and I finally bought an LG OLED 65 inch model E. It has been about a month since I got it and I am extremely happy with the TV. I timed my purchase to coincide with the 2017 Masters (golf) specifically so I could get the 4K broadcast and streaming coverage of The Masters. During the coverage of The Masters I got to see the best image I have ever seen on any TV. It was close in coverage of a golf ball sitting in a sand bunker at Augusta. The grains of sand, the golf ball name and even a speck of grass were as vivid as anyone could ever expect.
The 4K feature is fantastic. The streaming and satellite coverage are equal and outstanding. The problem is that there is not a lot of quality material being delivered. Most of the shows or movie coverage is not what I would normally watch. I did watch a baseball game being broadcast in 4K and it was spectacular. It makes me want to see more but there is seldom any thing to watch in 4K. That brings me back to 1080P programming which is what my prior tv had. The OLED shows are quite good but are certainly not worth paying up $4,000.
The features of the LG OLED are excellent. Standard settings available in the menus are broad enough to satisfy about anyone. The audio is very good with the forward facing speakers that the model E offers. I still use my surround sounds system most of the time but the speakers that are provided with the tv are better than the average bear.
The smart tv features work well and are faster than my prior set. Streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime are simple tasks and of extremely high quality.
My wife loves the physical appearance of the tv. It is simple in design and very streamlined. The remote is easy to use and actually fun to use.
My bottom line is that if you want or need a new tv, this is an excellent one to buy. However, if you have a good tv and you are looking to have your socks blown off by a new one, it probably won't happen. If 4K broadcasting gets more common that could be the occasion to invest in a new purchase.

I would highly recommend to anyone that is thinking about buying an OLED, to spend the money and purchase this model. The colors are amazing, and you can view it from an extreme angle and it is still crystal clear. It is like a movie theatre in your home.

I had been holding off on an OLED purchase, but I grabbed a 2016 model after learning that the 2017s remove 3D. Most content looks absolutely stunning on this screen! I now refuse to watch 4K/HDR Netflix shows on my bedroom TV (1080p LED) because they just look that much better on this screen. One complaint, though, is that I've found some shows which are filmed with washed out colors and dim lighting highlight the "banding" problem as many TV experts call it, I think. Certain dark content causes VERY distracting columns where pixels appear brighter and more washed out. For such a high-end TV, it is disappointing that I have to see this reminder of its shortcomings during certain film and show scenes. Surprisingly, I find it more noticeable on HDR content and when watching in a dark room.
The other downside to this TV which I hadn't read much about myself before purchasing is how incredibly fragile it feels and how terrifying it is to move it around. I absolutely dread the day when I have to take this beast off my wall to repaint as I'll always be afraid of warping or cracking the screen. In fact, I see a slight bend in the thin screen today, and I don't know where that came from. You must hold the edges of the screen with provided styrofoam "handles" because there's no good place to grip it with hands alone.
If you have OCD tendencies, you may always be bothered by the small imperfections on a product this expensive. 95% of the time I spend with this TV, however, I find it virtually perfect. I don't regret the purchase one bit.

Black Friday purchase.....I did at least 100 hours of research between LG, Sony, Samsung. Even with the price the OLED kept coming out on top.....Because of how delicate other reviews mentioned I paid Best Buy to setup the TV, 4K Blu Ray player, sound bar and Harmony remote to control it all. I was really impressed with the Geek Squad installer - very nice young man, took his time, explained everything and I felt very comfortable with the install. Been using TV for a month using 4K Blu Ray, Smart functions for Netflix and Amazon, over-the-air channels and my Direct TV. TV works flawless and best picture I've ever seen.

All critics raved over the picture quality. I was a skeptic myself until I saw it. It does have the blackest of blacks, and the greatest saturation of color. This TV by far outperforms all other TVs on the market hands down.

I posted an earlier review (AllHighDef) on this amazing TV. My opinion of this amazing UHDTV hasn't changed since I wrote that review, but I had to exchange the first TV I had due to a subtle problem with vertical banding on the screen. (Extremely subtle, but noticeable to me) . These bars were very faint and really didn't detract from the picture quality. They were probably not noticeable by most people, but they bothered me a bit, so I decided to exchange the first OLED65E6 for another one.
What I really wanted to speak to in this review is the service and support provided by Best Buy and LG during the troubleshooting and exchange process, since I'm guessing that will be a big part of your buying decision and I hope I can shed some light on that with my experience.
I first contacted LG about the problem, and was told that this TV came with VIP service (I didn't pay for any extra level of service). They weren't kidding! The representative kindly asked me to forward some photos of the problem I was having so he could let his techs/engineers see what the issue was. About three business days later, I received an email from the LG rep stating that the problem, although very uncommon in the 2016 OLED's, was seen by the techs. They set up a service call shortly thereafter to have a tech come to my home to see if the screen needed to be replaced. (I never had the service call since I exchanged the TV prior to that -- see below.)
In the time between the events described previously, I happened to be at Best Buy when an LG rep was on site. The manager in Magnolia HT called him over so I could explain my issue. The LG rep was happy to speak with me, listened carefully to the problem, looked at the photos I sent to LG, and promptly recommended I request an exchange of the TV through Best Buy since I was still in my return period. He personally spoke to the Magnolia HT manager and explained the situation and what he advised me to do, and why. I set up and exchange with Magnolia and spoke to no fewer than 3 people, every one of whom seemed bent on having the issue resolved and making me happy with the purchase.
Ultimately, the TV was exchanged and the new TV absolutely perfect. I can't say enough about the level of care, concern, and support on the part of both Best Buy and LG. I've been a long-time Best Buy and LG customer and, in my opinion, their service and support has gotten infinitely better and they seem dedicated to keeping customers happy - and keeping customers.
I hope this helped to inform the 'other side' of your buying decision a bit more.

Superlatives fail. LG's OLED line presents the best image of any television or monitor I have seen in 4 decades in the tv and production business. Out of the box (installed by the Geek Squad) it performed as well or better than anything on any showroom floor. Choose any of the myriad presets for the image that pleases you or spelunk the infinitude of choices and options in the menu. Choose colors as vibrant or subtle as you like. Movies play better than the big screen. Sports is amazing. The upres from HiDef, even the "720" channels like ESPN, is brilliant. Zero motion lag. No cometing. Sound in the E series is dazzling. Yes, it's an expensive television. And worth every dime.
