We initially thought we were going to get a new 3D tv, but after in-store demos showed the issue to be the content not the hardware, we broadened our scope. Luckily, this unit was an "it is too big" open box return, so we jumped on it. The picture is amazing, vibrant where it should be, dark when it ought to be. While 4K content looks best (saw details in Labyrinth I missed at its recent stint in theaters), upscaled bluray and cable is fantastic, too. We aren't fans of the true motion, makes things too video-game-like, but the rest of the adjustments are great. For those who care, as we do, you can eliminate video overscan, letting one see the full image.

I went from a plasma to this LG OLED and the picture is amazing. Perfect blacks and unlimited wide viewing angle for everyone in the room. Even better when watching a 4k HDR source.

The LG OLED65B6P is the best tv you can get for your home. The picture quality is absolutely amazing! Who knew that the ability to actually display black (not just dark grey) would make such a difference? The 65-inch model is not too big for a small room. Actually, being 6 to 8 feet from the screen allows your eyes to see the additional detail from 4K capability. My existing DVDs look great due to very good upscaling abilities. I found a thorough review of all the advantages and details on how to set the color for the best picture at rtings dot com. The thin look and quality picture of the O(ganic) L(ight) E(mitting) D(iode) screen can't be beat.

After nearly a decade of buying only Sony TVs, I went with the online reviews and spent the extra money on this OLED TV. Form and function are both breathtaking. A Sony TV rep in the store told me I wouldn't be able to tell his comparable model apart from this one and immediately I did. I still have several Sony's in my house and this one by far has the best picture quality for gaming, streaming, and bluray discs. The operating system is also very delightful, a far cry from the frustrating Sony version. This TV cost a bit more than several models, but with HDR, 4K, and other features included this TV felt like a future-proof buy.

I purchased this particular model based on several reviews I had read in different online magazines and forums. As part of my A/V refresh, I wanted a TV that would support 4K, provide me with an an accurate and vivid viewing experience and future proof me for the next couple of years. The TV is not set up in a dedicated theatre room, so I had my reservations on how the image quality would appear with window light shining from the side. So far it has exceeded my expectations. The colors are vivid and the blacks do appear deeper in the night scenes and dark lit room scenes. I would recommend this particular model without hesitation.

I purchased this TV on the recommendations from CNET and Consumer Reports. I instantly realized why this got top ratings from both. This is the BMW of TVs. The ultimate viewing experience. High quality crisp picture. There are absolutely no pixels viewable. Like looking out of a spotless window. Smart TV OS is top of the line. The remote is easy to use. Point and click! Intuitive settings menu make navigating this TV easy for anyone. This screen is very slim and light. We bought this model versus the newer one since there was no difference in picture quality.

This is a great TV. The picture quality is outstanding. Watching 4K HDR on Amazon is amazing, up scaling of 1080 is really good. Sports suffers from compression artifacts, but they aren't the TVs fault. When the broadcaster sends garbage the TV tries it's best to do the right thing. The picture quality is great when the video feed goes to a close shot (different compression). With the newest Firmware Video lag is not an issue. I bought the LG65B6 during the black Friday sale and Paid $2,700. I kept my plasma panel for 14 years I expect to do the same with this unit. LIttle problems, the power cord is really short and is hardwired, so hanging and removing the unit from the wall takes some planning. Think saw horses, and a flat place and a piece of carpet to lay the unit on. The screen is so thin in the upper half of the unit that you have to be very careful to only handle the unit from the bottom and sides where the electronics reside. With a tilting wall mount it is impossible to access any of the inputs or outputs with out removing the unit from the wall. Once the unit is installed and running it is not a problem, but it is PITA when you want to add another HDMI or USB feed. I had planned to do the install in stages, but once I saw that I would have to unmount and remount for each new feed I connected up all of the HDMIs and TOSLINK at once. I spent a full day with a helper getting the unit up and running. knowing what I know now I Could do it in 2 hours. I had not removed my plasma panel for 14 years so I guess spending a day is not a big deal. I used the calibrations settings from rtings.com. Maybe a professional calibration could improve things, but I doubt it.

I was shopping for a new TV for about 2 years. I was anxiously waiting for the OLED tech to drop in price, and I'm glad I waited. The picture is unbelievable!! (if you are viewing in the supported format, that is) . The remote is smart and intuitive. Very easy set-up, including connection to wifi. The only negative on this tv is the stand that it comes with. It doesn't rotate and it seems somewhat flimsy. Also, keep in mind that in order to really enjoy the tv, you will need at least a sound bar. Enjoy if you choose this tv - you won't be disappointed.

No, it's not cheap. However... This is the best picture I have seen, period. A lot to like, except the price is higher than most. This unit replaced another brand that was about half the price and also had great reviews. The LG has way better sound, way better picture, and excellent off-axis viewing - which our previous model did not have - in fact, it was so bad off-axis, that very issue was one of the main reasons we replaced it (we sometimes have visitors who have to sit off to one side or the other - wide-but-not-so-deep-sitting-area).

Yes, OLED is priced higher than other TV tech, but you get what you pay for. The color, black levels, and viewing angles are unmatched by transmissive LED tech. I tried the best screens from Sony and Samsung (check my previous verified purchases) and returned them....mainly for pitiful off angle picture degradation. I had been spoiled by my pioneer plasma previously. In my opinion the B6 made the most sense for me because I don't care about 3D and I have no need for a built in sound bar that doesn't even come with a subwoofer.....who spends $3-4K on a tv and doesn't add aftermarket sound systems anyway? Great for games, movies and sports. Only knock, wish a bigger screen (75+) was available for less than the price of a new car.

This is by far the best TV I have ever experienced in my home. The picture is very organic without the artificial hyper detail which makes movies look like videos. The lighting, color control, and black levels reproduce movies in the way movies were intended to be viewed. Even sporting events are reproduced with the least amount of artifact I've ever encountered in a 4K TV. Everything looks so good on this set, I find myself watching for the sheer enjoyment of the quality of the picture. It is intoxicating.

My spouse and I have been looking at OLED panels for several years now. And while their image has always been striking, the high price has been extremely prohibitive to casual video enthusiasts. Thankfully LG has finally cracked the $3K boundary, making a set like this affordable to a much larger number of people. While still not an inexpensive panel by any measure, they have managed to pack a LOT into this year's B6. For anyone familiar with OLED, it's perfect blacks match plasma emissive technology, and allow an extremely high contrast ratio, simply not attainable by any traditional LED/LCD panel - even those with local array dimming. OLED also runs much cooler than plasma did, and more energy efficiently. In addition, this particular set includes extended color gamut and HDR, and is one of the few to come with Dolby's new 'Dolby Vision' 10 bit HDR processing built in. The current open standard HDR is 8 bit, which is still quite good, but 10 bit renders even finer gradation in color and shadow detail. Coming from last year's Sony 850C and it's Android TV OS, LG's webOS 3.0 is a bit different to get used to. But on the whole, it seems to run smoothly with Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and (finally!) a Spotify interface. 4K HDR content looks nothing short of stunning (Netflix's 'Marco Polo' for example is a much watch, and offered in Dolby Vision HDR/4K.) Like their older plasma cousins, image retention can be problematic on OLED panels if a static image is left on for extended periods. Though an automatic screen saver has kept that from becoming an issue at all. If we had to find any disappointing aspect of the B6 at all, it would have to be the inclusion of speakers we do not need - which only add to the thickness of the unit on the whole. I would love to see more manufacturers in this price and quality range eliminating speakers entirely from the set. As it stands to reason that many of us will already have a home theater set-up far exceeding the capabilities of any set mounted speakers or sound bar. The panel itself is remarkably thin. Something around 5mm with the bottom extending out to a bit less than 5cm for the inputs, electronics, and speakers. The vesa mount is nice though the way the power and inputs are implemented, you will want to use very thin and flexible cables if you wish to get a super close semi-flush type wall mount. Don't even think about cables like the (frankly ridiculously overpriced) Audioquest line in the Magnolia shop, unless your TV will be mounted several inches off the wall, or on it's table top stand. All in all, five stars - and highly recommended!

Best buy delivered the TV at time and date promised. The TV was easy to install lhowever, it is very delicate and I had to be careful when handling. The picture is spectacular and easily adjusted to your liking. The instructions that came with the TV allow easy install however, there is poor literature on how to adjust the numerous setting and use the remote. I had to go to the internet to get the details and there is plenty of detailed info on the internet. Overall a great TV.

My husband and I bought the OLED just before Christmas. Initially, we had no intentions of purchasing an OLED because of the high price. We were looking at several different brands while in the store. When we saw the side by side comparison, the exceptional OLED picture quality was obvious. No matter what angle we looked at the screen, the color and picture was beautiful. That is important when having a football party. The cost is a lot higher than other brands but it is worth it. .

I returned a 75" P Series Vizio TV for the 65" OLED, and the loss in size was quickly diminished by the vast increase in quality. The OLED gives true blacks, and virtually unlimited viewing angles. Where as a LCD/LED display will wash out or provide halo effects off center, the OLED eliminates that problem and makes arrangement of your display a breeze, knowing that everyone gets a good seat. They are expensive, but every time I watch the TV I do not regret the decision at all.

We bought this TV after owning an LED backlit TV for a few years. This picture is the best contrast and color I have ever seen. The brightness and dark mixed in a sunset is truly spectacular such that my wife and I have literally stopped in our tracks, wide eyed to see the depth of lighting and color in such a scene. The only downside is, of course, the cost relative to other TVs. But I have never seen something this spectacular, even better than the old plasma TVs.

We're so glad we spent a little extra to go with this higher end model. The big screen makes the picture visible almost everywhere in our open floor plan, but it looks just as great up close as it does farther away. The colors are vivid, the blacks are deep and dark, and the clarity of the picture is amazing. We're watching more TV now than we ever did before, in large part because of the great viewing experience. You won't be disappointed with this television!

This 65" TV replaced a Sony 65" which failed after less than 2 years and the failed part is no longer available. So, what's different here? Everything! Start with the screen, of course. Amazing blacks, very intelligent screen saver if you pause playback in any mode, to prevent burn-in, coupled with great color and very good onboard sound (although I continue to use the excellent Sony Soundbar that still works). OLED puts the picture in a different class.

We have been loyal Samsung fans for many years. Their quality equipment has served us well for over 20 years. We were looking for the best available color and contrast and unfortunately there are no Samsung products out there to rival this LG OLED TV. Wow, is the best way to describe it. LG has placed themselves in good company (in our minds) with Samsung and will be carefully considered if we are in the market for another TV. Worth every penny...
