The audio however sounds like it’s coming out of a 1910’s gramophone speaker. Dull, muted, and lifeless. So if the intention is to add a soundbar, it’s a great purchase.

Backlight Issues After a Few months

After just a few months there were backlight issues and the tv screen would gradually dim and go black intermittently. After a year it completed blacked out and would not come back on. Either the tv was defective from the beginning ( was brand new), or LG just has backlight issues. Unfortunately I will have to purchase a new tv now.

If your screen gradually dimmed and eventually went black, it may be related to the backlight system or the main board. One step you can try is unplugging the TV for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in to reset the internal components. If the screen remains dark, press and hold the Power button on the remote for 10 seconds to see if the panel responds. The salesperson who helped me was wonderful, was able to direct me to the new age of wi-fi from plasma. Size was perfect as he suggested. My prior TV had a beautiful picture which was over 15 years old which was hard to replace.
