I purchased this TV from the store. It was wrapped and I was unable to inspect. It came damage (the bottom corner is bent) and missing the remote. The staff at Rockway was not helpful at all.

Great picture TV. When it works! 17 months in it developed a row of white dead pixels, and now it won't even turn on at all! LG customer service is terrible. they just tell you to call a local repair place. I think I am gonna try Sony.

Like many others in the reviews, I too have now had the experience of attempting to have the set repaired due to horizontal lines showing up across the screen. I purchased the TV (65 inch version) in August of 2021, so I obviously cannot return. I have been attempting to have it repaired for a month now, and am not getting much done with either LG, or the vendor they sourced the repair to. Avoid this TV and go with a Samsung. Have one still going strong almost 15 years after purchase.

5 months old and these horizontal lines show up. Wouldn’t be so bad, but the repair process is a nightmare. Not first class. Not what you’d expect. One company services all of Los Angeles from Bakersfield to San Diego. And they have so many panels to replace, who knows when mine will be done.

Not great a great tv for the money. It broke after having for less than month where the screen would not turn on. LG did fix it but definitely ruined my experience.

OLED TVs are simply the best TV display currently available, especially when fed with native 4K resolution content. This LG C1 does not disappoint at all with its sleek design. The top half of the unit is thinner than my Galaxy S20 Ultra phone. Having previously only owned LED LCD TVs, including a quantum dot model from one of the top 2 upcoming brands from the PR of C, I was concerned about screen burn in when OLED TVs first came out. That, and the initial high cost made me hold out but now that the prices have come down somewhat, I find it more palatable to the wallet. There are built in, screen burn in protection measures that can help to ensure that the panel lasts several years. The TV has a very wide viewing angle too and the picture quality does not suffer at wide viewing angles. Dolby Vision, HDR10, and Dolby Atmos are all onboard and make watching 4K HDR movies, a very pleasant experience in my home theater with a 7.1 speaker set up. Brightness is not an issue for both SDR and HDR content even with daylight coming through the windows. Experts have measured a peak brightness level of about 768 nits. From what I have read, 500 nits is sufficient for a brilliant HDR image. I tried the TV’s speakers before hooking up my home theater speakers and they sound very good for TV speakers. Naturally, the laws of physics will not give one thundering bass from the TV itself but the TV’s sound output is thrilling enough. I am a big fan of the magic remote and I find the onboard apps and WebOS very easy to use. Set up was not difficult at all. Just take your time to get it all right. My one big wish is that hopefully, the price of the 77 inch model can be brought down closer to no more than $500.00 above the 65 inch model and I will get one of those too. Increased consumer purchase volume at the lowered price will likely make up for the reduced price.

With each pixel diode emitting its own level of luminance color & contrast are more accurate than would be on any QLED model of any brand. The LG C1 is also capable of 120Hz Dolby Vision, and in addition its HDMI eARC port is 40Gbps, which does a much finer and efficient job at passing through Dolby MAT 2.0 & MAT metadata, so my VIZIO Elevate coupled w/ this tv sounds much crisper than it did paired w/ my old VIZIO P65Q9-H1. The Game Optimizer menu on firmware v3.15.27 adds a level of customization to gameplay, and it seems to "just work." First time LG tv owner, first time OLED owner, and very satisfied with the purchase. Comes at a high price, but worth it if you stream a lot of movies/shows, and if you use a console such as a PS5 or Series X|S. Some minor bugs when the tv switches from Dolby Vision to SDR that causes soundbar to lose audio, but a quick fix is to disable eARC, and reenable it via Audio Settings. The OLED tech also suffers from vertical banding, but can be reigned in by using the Pixel Cleaner. It's only noticeable on calibration screens (all grey/all white), but never is noticeable when watching content or gaming.

Once you buy an OLED TV you will never go back. This TV is perfect for gaming, sports, and a cinematic experience. This TV has the best settings for gaming hands down the vrr and refresh rates are amazing. Sony OLED does not come close to the gaming expereince the C1 provides, even playing on a PS5 the smoothness and resolution of whats on the screen is incredible. Naturally you would think playing a PS5 on a sony product would be better but thats not the case this TV is just that good. The deeper blacks and depth to the colors on the screen are out if this world. If you can watch 4k UHD content that is the way to go. Even when not watching 4k content or HDR the tv does a beautiful job of upscaling whatever you are watching to look as close to 4k as possible. This is truly worth the money if it is in your price range. Gaming and movies have never looked better in my household. The set up is easy, for cinema i recommend filmmaker mode and for gaming i recommend having HGIG on for brightness, the tv automatically switches the game optimizer mode when you are on your console which is awesome. Lastly best buy shipped the TV to my house in a few days, and they wall mounted the tv quickly and even set up the basics for the tv like wifi and cable.
