Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and sharp details of the LG OLED C1 TV. They also appreciate its excellent gaming performance, with smooth and immersive gameplay. The OLED display is highly praised for its deep blacks and stunning visuals. While some find the remote control a bit difficult to operate and the TV to be on the expensive side, overall, customers are very satisfied with their purchase and consider it a great value for the price.

OLED & eARC For The Win

I was replacing a 55in Samsung. I went with the OLED based on the reviews I saw on YT and I have not regretted it. The Dolby Vision is so impressive. The blacks are blacker making the colors more vivid compared to the LED we replaced. The other (equally as important) was the eARC HDMI for the Dolby Atmos. The Sonos ARC (with Sub) was impressive before but the eARC brings it alive.

I wanted a 65" OLED TV to replace an 8 year old Sharp Aquios tv. I was going back and forth between the LG C1 and the Sony Bravia Master class both in 65". While the Sony is over double the price of the LG C1, there's no way I was going to spend $3,500.00+ on a tv. The C1 has 4k@120hz and a picture quality that is jaw dropping. There's plenty of YouTube videos explaining how to calibrate the tv for best results. Once I made these minor setting changes I was literally speachless for about 5 minutes. The picture quality once you get it home is night and day difference from the Bestbuy example they have on display. The LG C1 is quite a bit heavier than the Sharp led it replaced. So, if wall mounting, you'll want 3 people to hang it. I'm looking forward to enjoying this tv for many years!

This is my second OLED TV from LG and the picture is superb the only disappointing thing is no 3D. It's pretty heavy so have another person help you. I would have liked the magic remote to light up as it hard to see at night.

This is not the perfect TV, but it is close! I upgraded from an LG LED tv and just love how the C1 shines. The color pops, the pictures are sharp, the blacks are inky black. The cons are that it does pick up reflections from light sources behind the viewer, and the settings are lacking compared to what I was used to with my previous LG. I did disable the auto-brighten so that as a bright object grows in the scene the brightness doesn't dim the image. We like to stream series and movies, and we watch cable/sports. I had BestBuy install the TV with a wall mount and a cable passthrough to hide them in the wall. The install team were very professional and took the time to show me the various features and adjustments the new unit has.

I've bought a lot of TV's in my 57 years and never written a review - so that should tell you something. I've mostly bought brand name TV's - heavy on Samsung and LG in the last decade, with a Sony and Toshiba thrown in once in awhile. But, I've always stayed at a moderate price point within the size class, and shied away from more expensive technologies. Until now. It never dawned on me the difference true black would make in a TV screen, but the impact is significant. The colors on this, the sharpness, the contrast - are amazing. As for brightness, this screen sits in a very well-lit family room, and is plenty bright compared to the 5-year old LCD it replaced. I have very old 75-inch in a theatre setting in the basement, and the 77-inch version of this TV will just fit........

This TV will make it hard to choose another brand. Although it's the best picture I've ever seen, it's not just that. It's the number of options that you have that makes this TV so enjoyable. For someone who just likes to buy a TV and "plug and play", this isn't for you. This TV is for nerds like myself who like to tweak settings and learn every aspect of the gadget's capabilities. This TV has a ton of settings. Even the settings have settings. Go to YouTube and you'll learn how to find hidden menus with even more settings. I have my Roku and Xbox going to my TV and the TV going to my receiver via eArc. I'm using a Harmony universal remote which allows me to control everything, but their TV remote can do the same with less buttons (you have to be willing to use on-screen controls at times). I watch a lot of sports and the motion is smoother than butter. I watch the NFL Sunday Ticket all day on Sunday and I've not noticed any ghosting thus far. I think this would only be a problem for those who use this TV as a monitor with static images. I've owned two Samsung plasmas for more than 7 years on one and 11 on the other. If I can't burn in images in them then I know that I can't in this LG. The homescreen isn't really user-friendly, but hopefully, they will fix that with an update. It obscures whatever you're watching and if you're in an app, it takes you completely out of it. It also contains a lot of things on screen that you may not need. There should be an option to remove shortcuts from services that you don't actually own. The TV speakers actually don't sound too bad as they fire off the stand and reflect to you, but I have my surround sound that I prefer. The stand is very low, so you can't put a center channel or sound bar in front of it without partially blocking the bottom of the screen. The screen is so thin that it's makes me nervous, but if you wall mount it or keep it out of high-traffic areas then you should be fine. This is a very delicate device and I would advise you to watch YouTube videos on how to carefully unbox and set this thing up. You don't want to damage it by pinching the screen too hard while lifting or something. All-in-all, this is definitely the best TV I've ever had. NatGeo documentaries look amazing on Disney+. If you are serious about your TV viewing, then there's no way to say "no" to this if you're willing to spend the money. If you need a cheaper option, then the 65" TCL R635 that I got my wife isn't a bad bet either. Not as many options, but an amazing picture for half the cost of the LG depsite being a QLED TV.

This is by far the best TV of 2021. Had the Sony OLED but sold it to buy this instead, I can’t stand Android/Google TVs, every app crashes and sometimes the tv goes into portrait mode because it thinks it’s a phone. On top of that, HDR never worked on Sony, but this LG has WebOS and it’s great! HDR is flawless and all apps works great. Airplay 2 works perfect too. Only downside is the remote. Can’t stand the pointer, and compared to Samsung tv remotes, it has lots to desire.

The difference between OLED and anything else is like night and day. OLED is the best when it comes to blacks, contrast, etc. but you already knew that if you're reading this. What I can share is that this TV works well with Alexa and our soundbar. We originally tried the Sony A80J and that picture was amazing also however Google Home did not work well with Alexa and our Ring doorbell and it also had some incompatibility issues with our Vizio soundbar. LG C1 had no problems and works perfectly with our home system.

Fantastic TV, amazing picture and great features for gaming. Couple of notes to keep in mind: This TV+stand tends to be on the heavy side, around 70 to 75 pounds. The panel is very thin, so when lifting you want to grab it around the base. More importantly, all of the weight if not mounted will be in the center of the TV as opposed to how it would be distributed on a tv with legs on the outer edges. Something to keep in mind when thinking about what you will be placing this tv on. The newer version of this tv, the C2, is supposed to weight almost half of the C1. Something to keep in mind if you are willing to spend more money.

Usually I don't write a review for tech hardware....I expect it to do it's job. But, this is the best TV I have ever owned. I upgraded from a 2016 Sony Bravia. The LG C1 65 is amazing! Just watching Revenge of the Sith UHD, the Mustafar battle. The darks are so dark, but the sabers pierce your eyes with their brightness....this is the expected balance between dark and light (on your eyes, not the story). Just incredible...yes I have an XBOX Series X and expect the titles over the next 6 years will amaze in ways I've never expected thanks to this TV. Wow!! I do use a Sonos sound bar though to get the whole experience.

The main reason that I bought this oled tv is for the great looking black tones. The tv screen is thinner than a 1/4 inch! Unboxing it and mounting the base was scary. The screen has no frame to hold and the base is heavy. You cant just sit the tv on the base before tightening the screws. The base attaches to the lower back of the tv. I laid the screen face down on the box with the plastic protector still on the screen. Then my wife helped hold the heavy base while I inserted and tightened the screws. The base over hung the box so the screen would lay flat while I attached the base. I was worried I would break the screen just trying to turn the tv upright since there is no frame around the screen to grab. Especially after reading another review saying the screen broke easily while being cleaned. Once i got the tv upright, I was able to pick it up by the base. I hope I never have to move this tv. Ive tried not to touch the screen to avoid fingerprints after removing the temporary screen protector. The customer service at the college park MD store was poor. I came in an hour before closing and was the only customer. I brought the tv to the front by myself. The packaging was good but i would not have pivoted/slid the tv onto a flat cart by myself if i knew how fragile it is. When I found someone to check me out, she seemed suprised that there was a customer, like they had locked the doors already and didnt think there were any customers in the store. I had to wait for someone to open the doors to let me out. This was at least 20 minutes before closing. I had to pull my suv up to the front and leave the tv on the cart. The employee that unlocked the doors wheeled the tv out while i was pulling up to the entrance. I was trying to get my seats folded down and the employee didnt want to wait and started craming it in at an angle with the seatback pressed into the middle of the box before i could get the seats folded out of the way. I even told him to wait and he didn't. Not respectful of an $1800 tv. I would have rather loaded it myself and not had any of the emoyees touch it. Getting it home and unboxed was stressful. The picture looks great on all the shows and movies I've watched from fios and my 4k bluray player. I have hdmi 2 cables ran to both. If I pull up the same demo video from the store on the youtube app, the picture looks just as good as in the store. All the LG oled demos look amazing. I have my pc hooked to it and the colors looked weird to me. Changing to the vivid picture mode seemed to make the picture from my computer look more like the colors that im used too. The colors seemed even more off when playing ps4 pro (4k output). The colors looked kind of light and muted especially in the game picture mode. Once i tried playing the tony hawk game, the video scenes were in 4k hdr and the playstation had me make darkness adjustments for the hdr picture. This seemed to make the colors look more like what i was used to with my old samsung 4k tv. Over all im very happy with the tv. Dark scenes look really good since there is no edgelighting. I got 2 years no interest financing with my bestbuy card. Hopefully it doesnt break before I get it paid off.

I have nothing but raves for my 65" LG OLED C1 TV! My TV before this one was a 55" LG Plasma which I thought was terrific. But this new C1 is simply stunning. Blacks are actually black, deep and rich; contrast and color saturation are amazing. All picture attributes are easily customizable, with 9 selectable preset picture modes such as Cinema, Sports, Vivid, Game, and Expert. So I can quickly mazimize the picture, whatever I'm watching. The C1 has plenty of USB and HDMI ports and connections, including headphones out. And the price made the C1 seem like a real bargain.

    OLED burn-in beware

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

To be clear this is for the C7 model which has since been discontinued. But I think this applies to any OLED from LG. Initially I was really impressed with the picture quality and overall very happy with my purchase. But after 2 years I started to notice burn-in areas on the screen. (From my constant viewing of CNBC). I already had pixel shift enabled and ran pixel refresh as instructed. This didn't help and I contacted LG support. Their support never followed up after their initial email about getting my request and asking me to be patient during COVID. I too didn't follow up due to world wide pandemic and TV took a back seat. Fast forward 2 years later and I finally contact LG support. After learning the TV is now 4 years old they want nothing to do with me. It sucks for me but hey it's been a while so whatever. So the purpose of my rant is to help the next guy that's thinking about buying a LG OLED TV. First, buy the extended warranty and make sure it covers screen burn-in. I think 5 years is reasonable. Second, try to watch a variety of programming, not just CNBC or CNN, This is because they have those annoying static image areas that burn-in. Finally accept the fact that TVs will not last 10+ years of the past. Probably because the picture quality is so much better than what I grew up with. :-)

This TV is amazing. I am replacing a 6 year old Samsung 4K set with this LG C1 OLED TV, and it’s not even a close comparison. The picture quality and colors look incredible. The built in TV speakers sound good, and you can use them with a sound bar at the same time as a dedicated voice channel too which is a cool feature. Gaming on this TV with the PS5 and series X is a joy, as the 120hz refresh rate, with VRR support and low latency times makes this a much better gaming experience than my old TV. I would highly recommend this, especially with the sale price, compared to the C2.

Love. I'm not a TV expert but I have exactly zero regrets about this purchase. Expensive but I feel like we got what we paid for. We have not purchased a sound bar -- sound quality is great for our family's needs. Some of our family has struggled with the remote - I wouldn't buy this for my wife if she was the only user. But, given the vast amount of features packed in, I think the remote is quite intuitive. If you want all the features, you need to learn to use the remote.

After my son and his friend decided to throws books at my old TV, I needed to get a new one. I settled on getting an OLED, and LG and Sony are really the main companies in the game. I went with LG due to their better pricing at comparable or better picture quality. This unit is super thin, quiet in operation, and provides the best picture I've seen in a long time. While I think the nits are a little low for a bright room, this TV is perfect for a theater room, basement, or man cave. I have it setup in my basement gaming room, and the brightness is plenty. This TV definitely isn't cheap, but it does live up to the loft pricing and expectations.

The OLED picture is great. Watched a movie with a total black cut scene, I thought my TV had turned off, I had never experienced the true black levels of an OLED TV before. My prior TV had full array w/multiple LED zones, but this was a completely new level, I knew I had made the right decision with this TV. Easy to set up, the LG OS is not as intuitive as say, a ROKU TV but I got used to it. It has good sound for a TV, not automatically considering adding a soundbar to it yet which is a plus.
