Basically a perfect choice for my big screen gaming. It has a fantastic refresh, fantastic picture quality, all of the compatability features and settings options that you expect in a modern display. It even has game mode which I didn't know about when I bought it. Plus the price is great.
The only drawback is the menu pointer is finicky and sometimes hard to use accurately. This is my second LG OLED so I'm familiar with the problem - just disappointed they haven't improved it in 3 years since our first one.
But the rest of it is so good for the price that doesn't reduce my rating from 5 stars.

The LG C5 65-inch OLED TV (2025) delivers vibrant colors, perfect blacks, and a brightness boost with the Alpha 9 Gen 8 processor. Ideal for gaming with 144Hz, HDMI 2.1, G-Sync, and FreeSync. WebOS 25 is intuitive; audio needs a soundbar. Priced at $2,699, it’s a top mid-range pick

I absolutely love my new LG OLED TV. From the moment it was turned on the colors were so brilliant and the people look like you are standing next to them, so lifelike. My old LG was loosing its color, everything looked blue, and I was amazed with this TV. Easy to set up. Easy to access apps and I love how Apple TV is built into the TV. One less box on my TV shelf.

I was in between this and the Sony OLED TV. I felt the Sony Oled was much darker and I really like the LG OLED better. I feel it is brighter and you can always dim it if you need to. The pictures are super clear and the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 starts is b/c it does not have MGM+ app on it and now I have to get an external device to watch that app and a few others it does not have. The interface is okay, and easy to use and will get used to. I feel the Sony interface is much better but this is still good. No other complaints yet except my external speakers keep changing to the tv speakers which is annoying to keep switching it back every time I have to turn on my TV.

This TV is fantastic. The color and picture quality is great, and the black looks so deep which makes everything else more vibrant. The internal processor is super quick too, I hardly ever use my FireStick now because it's so much quicker. Gaming is awesome on it, the refresh rate is amazing and is on par with my computer.

I didn’t buy a TV—I adopted a portal into another dimension. The LG 65” C5 OLED evo AI has officially ruined every other screen in my house. My old TV now looks like it’s been smeared with Vaseline compared to this one.
The picture quality is jaw-dropping. Blacks are so deep I thought the screen was off, and the colors are so vibrant I half expect my living room to start charging admission. Watching movies feels like the director is sitting next to me, whispering, “Yes, this is exactly how I wanted you to see it.”
The AI upscaling is wizardry. Even older shows look fresh, as if they’ve been hitting the gym and drinking kale smoothies. I rewatched a DVD from the early 2000s and suddenly noticed background details I never knew existed—like that extra who clearly didn’t know the camera was rolling.
Gaming? Absolute beast. No lag, no blur—just buttery smooth gameplay that makes me feel more skilled than I actually am (until I still manage to lose).
And let’s talk about sound. The built-in audio is shockingly good for a TV this thin. It’s like LG took a soundbar, squished it flat, and said, “Here, this will blow your mind.”
The webOS interface is snappy and smart enough to make me wonder if it’s judging my late-night binge choices. And yes, it comes with every streaming app you can think of—plus a few you’ll never admit to using.
Bottom line: If you’re on the fence, just know this TV is a dangerous upgrade. You’ll suddenly find yourself canceling plans just to “test the picture quality one more time.” And honestly? Worth it.
Better than Samsung equal, but weak remote control

Positives:
1--We can actually see things in movies that the blacks of our Samsung could now show us. Brighter too.
2--Better picture quality than Samsung.
3--Less glare is a plus.
4---Trying to get rid of TVs with bad backlighting. Last 2 Samsungs had them go out due to this problem. We hope this OLED technology does not do that.
Negatives
1--Weak remote control.
2--The remote has a wheel on it that is very touchy. We can predict that the remote wheel will be the first thing to go bad.
3--Wheel curser hard to steady & control. Comes on at inopportune times.
4--The enter function should be separate from the wheel functions. A lot of over-use issues for one button.

The LG OLED Evo TV was very easy to set up and has a beautiful picture and I was also surprised at the quality of the TV speakers - although we have since tied it to a receiver for audio. Recommended and very happy with it. I do wish the main menu of selections - streaming services and cables were a little easier to navigate.

I would’ve given this TV of five, had not been for the heat that it generates. The picture is almost perfect. It is not as great as in the store, because the company use a special device to make the picture look surreal. I wish they would stop doing that. Or make those devices available for everyone. You leave the store thinking you’ll get the exact same quality, but you’re don’t. I even have the newest Apple 4K TV. However, I will give this Tv of 4.5 stars. It is very good.

We wanted to replace our bedroom TV and had just bought the 77 inch version of this TV and loved it. It was between a TCL or Hisense initially. We didn't need as high-end for the bedroom as for downstairs. One day we caught this TV at a very competitive price for BB "Total" members. The purchase at Best Buy was smooth. Setup instructions were easy.
We use a home theater setup on our 77" downstairs but use just the TV speakers on this 65" in the bedroom and was quite surprised that the TV sound is actually very good compared to most other TVs.
The LG Smart Remote with its screen pointing takes a little getting used to but you can use the scroll wheel and buttons to use the remote in a more conventional manner. There's also a smartphone app that has a remote feature that works well.
All in all, I don't know how I would make this TV experience any better.

Definitely the best tv I have ever bought and owned. It’s hard to watch any other tv, this tv is so good.
The details and clarity is beyond my expectations. Yes it has a price tag but in my opinion it is worth every penny. I even ended up buying an open box that was a little cheaper. The tv wasn’t even used, still had the film screen protector still on the tv, and the tv wasn’t even used for more than an hour when checking after plugging and turning tv on.
I have to give a major shout out to the manager Zac at the Southfield Best Buy. He went above and beyond, Great customer service.

I wanted this tv but couldn't buy it until my old tv died. It's my rule. Lucky for me, a lightning bolt took out my Sony mini-led. The Sony had a 'good' picture, but IMO the LG EVO has the better picture by far. I have another LG EVO in another room for over a year now. One of the tv's is connected with ethernet and the other via Wi-Fi. I've had zero issues from either tv. WEBOS is easy to navigate. My only complaints are the 'new' cheap feeling remote and the stupid dancing cursor thingy I detest. LG did take a step back with the new remote. Hopefully they'll change it back to the previous style which was really good. I can't speak to the sound quality since I've hooked it up to my soundbar since day 1. Knowing what I know now I'd buy this tv again in a heartbeat.

It’s an LG OLED. It’s hard to argue with the value you get with this set. Perfect black levels and good brightness. I came from a 2023 TCL 8 series and was worried that the dip in brightness would be too much, but I was pleasantly wrong. Everything is bright and crisp and the colors seem very accurate. Works well with the Switch 2, PS5 and the Series X with its 4 HDM 2.1 ports. Paired perfectly with my soundbar through ARC. All of the problems I had with apps on my old set are now gone. If you are on the fence just get it.

I recently upgraded to the LG 65” OLED, and it has completely transformed my viewing experience! The picture quality is absolutely stunning—deep blacks, vibrant colors, and incredible clarity that makes everything look cinematic. Even regular shows feel like a premium experience.
The sound quality is surprisingly good on its own, and the sleek, minimalist design looks beautiful in my living room. The smart features are smooth and easy to navigate, and the remote makes everything feel intuitive.
Whether I’m watching movies, gaming, or just streaming shows, this TV delivers every single time. Truly one of the best purchases I’ve made this year. Highly recommend!

The LG C5 OLED is an outstanding television that truly elevates the viewing experience. Its picture quality is phenomenal, with deep blacks, vibrant colors, and excellent contrast that make movies and games look incredibly lifelike. The ultra-thin design adds a modern touch to any room, and the smart features are intuitive and easy to navigate. The sound quality is surprisingly good for a slim TV, and the variety of ports make it versatile for connecting devices. Overall, the LG C5 OLED offers premium performance and style, making it an excellent choice for anyone seeking top-tier home entertainment.

This model just replaced the 10 year old version.Old TV was still beautiful but wanted faster refresh rate for gaming. This new model answered the call. Another gorgeous picture!

The LG OLED 65" TV is by far the best TV I have ever owned. The picture is extremely sharp and has very high resolution. The colors are vibrant and the blacks perfect. Highly recommended/

I wish I had upgraded to an OLED TV sooner. The picture quality is fantastic and overall it has great sound quality with the built-in speakers. The remote that came with the TV leaves a little to be desired and is kind of a pain to use. It's a lot like a wii-mote with the motion control. Thankfully I can use my cable remote for everything, so I don't have to deal with the motion control. Overall, I can look past the remote because the picture and sound are both excellent
