This TV is as good as the rumors. The blacks are unbelievable. As a result, the colors are so vivid and life like. I wish I could but two! The sound is surprisingly good for TV speakers. Decent bass and clarity. I like how you can custom label your inputs. I could do that on my old Sharp and glad I didn't lose that functionality. You may have to tweak your settings based on the room you have it in but there are websites out there that can point you in the right direction. There are a LOT of options for your settings so, take your time and do it right. You will not be disappointed!

So I’ll start by saying I ordered the Visio p75f and after 2 screens with horrible banding I upgraded to the 65” C8. I wish I’d started here all along, the picture was instantly noticeably better, everything from sports to tv shows, and especially movies look amazing, it’s been about a month now with the c8 and I still find myself admiring just how good the picture is at times. I can’t say a bad thing about this tv cause I have yet to find anything. It’s a little step price wise but you’re getting a whole different level of tv. You won’t regret buying the C8.

This is my very 1st purchase of Oled and I’m please with my purchase. I am upgrading from 2015 Samsung SHUD quantum dot tv. I thought I was amazed with that picture quality, but my Oled picture quality playing 4k hdr, Dolby Vision and HLG has been the experience I’ve been waiting on. I have experienced inky blacks 1st hand and it’s the real deal. No banding on my Oled or light bleed like my Samsung panel. I was surprise how 4k content looked with streaming. A noticeably difference from my 2015 tv. I was extremely impressed with how 4k uhd blu Ray movies perform perfectly. The disc quality is superb vs streaming. Streaming capped at 25mbps vs the disc uncompressed going over 100mbps all the quality I could see on Oled. I have it paired with Panasonic 820 player, audioquest choclate hdmi cable and Dolby Atmos Samsung Harmon Kardon HWN850 Soundbar with rear speakers. I watched Spider-Man multiverse, Avengers movies, Netflix, YouTube in HDR and been blown away. The WebOS is way better than Samsung. It’s very user friendly and all tv apps work flawlessly unlike Samsung which had laggy system for premium tv. Best Buy had for few days the best sale ever seen for Oled. My 65 inch C8 was brand new 1950.00 which after a year goes normally for price 2500.00. I jumped on price in a heartbeat. A win win for me because I wasn’t planning on purchasing until 2020. The price made me buy this sooner than later. Last thing worth mentioning is firmware update. You go on LG website they tell you exactly what firmware update is. Samsung they give a very general response and don’t tell you what the update did. Another reason I’ve been slowing down on purchasing Samsung products.

This is our first LG TV having been a loyal Samsung follower. We wanted to replace our 55” Samsung with a larger set and decided on 65”. Our previous Samsung’s have been reliable and a nice picture. We started looking at the Samsung Q series but were taken back by the price. Then we looked at the LG OLED TV and were very impressed. Picture quality is outstanding, every bit as good and perhaps better than the Samsung Q series. And the price is better. We have now enjoyed the LG for over a month and are convinced we made the right choice.

Are you ready to binge all your Netflix series you are behind on? Because this is the perfect TV for it. It’s a must to invest in higher quality HDMI cables (I purchased audio quest cinnamon and chocolate) I mean after all you are spending over 2k. I mention this since my Apple 4K TV had troubles with the regular HDMI that was hooked up and once I made the switch all those issues went away. The TV is thin as you would expect from an OLED, and I haven’t had any issues with picture quality yet. I will update my review in the next 4 months

We finally decided to upgrade to 4K after 9 years with our mostly trusted Samsung 3D tv. One of my biggest complaints with the 9 year old Samsung was the lack of any real black so going forward that was big on my list. The old tv lacked the clarity of 4K, no full color spectrum and certainly was missing the smart tv functions, we needed an upgrade. After searching and reviewing TVs for a few weeks and even visiting Best Buy several times we decided on a Vizio 65 inch E model. For the price it is an excellent choice, where the tv failed was upscaling and motion so we took it back after 10 days. Next up, we tried the Samsung 65 inch Q6. I still ponder why that tv reviews so high or possibly we had a bad panel but our 50 inch LG 6500 model tv was better in every way at a fraction of the cost. Back it went. The Sony X900F and the LG oleds had always been at the top of our list but like any cheapskate I followed the reviews that led with cost and performance not performance at any cost. Although it was a close call between the two TVs we ultimately purchased the LG C8. The perfect blacks are more breath taking at home than in the showroom, we felt at home with the smart functions as they are identical to our bedroom LG. The colors, the contrast and the clarity are more than amazing. The cat sits watching the tv all the time she apparently is also amazed at the picture quality. Upscaling is very good, quite amazing actually. We find ourselves rewatching older movies all the time and I keep hearing myself muttering about how great the display looks. If you are on the fence about this tv don’t be, it amazes me whenever I watch it, no halos, no gray screen effect, no color banding issues and even when it’s turned off it looks gorgeous. Oh let’s not forget that magic remote, fits in your hand so comfortably and the pointer is pretty fun to use. The voice commands through the remote are so fast and easy to use it’s just icing on the cake. The only question you’ll have to ask after purchasing this tv is do you need another for somewhere else in the house.

We did a lot of research on which TV to purchase. Ultimately, going with the highest picture quality was important to us. We enjoy being able to switch between viewing modes easily, the remote is user friendly, and the picture is superb. Burn in can be a problem (which was the exact problem with a floor model we had originally purchased, then returned it for a new one.)

If you've read any reviews anywhere, you've probably seen that this set has one of the best pictures available. (Seriously, sometimes it seems better than really being there.) But the packaging is what I came to talk about. Seriously, whoever engineered the packaging, and particularly how you use the packaging to protect the set while you attach the stand, is a genius. Okay, the instructions for it are a little, um, hard to follow, and split between two different sheets with no indication on either to look at the other one. So read all the set up instructions before proceeding. Well, "read," I guess. Yes, documentation makers, a picture is worth a thousand words. But a few words would also be useful. (Also, a hint to people buying this TV, make sure you open the side of the box that has the instructions.) But still, genius. Also, I like to keep a box and all packaging until the warranty on a product runs out. Even with the TV out of the box, I could *not* figure out how to get all the packaging back in. A master of Tetris might be able to do it. So now I have the box sitting in my basement with a piece of styrofoam packaging sitting on top of the box. Note: This is not a complaint; in fact, I am in awe of the packaging altogether if you can't tell. But yeah, the picture is great too.

I love this TV. I debated long and hard between this tv and the Samsung Q8. I've owned Samsungs for almost 20 years now and have never been less than awed, much less disappointed. That being said, I went with this tv and have not been disappointed. The picture quality is the best I've seen and the processor and functionality are superb. I've cut the cord so the interface was important and this one could not be easier or faster. Ironically, a few weeks later I decided to upgrade the smaller tv in my sunroom and went with a Samsung QLED, though I saved money and bought a Q6 rather than the q8. I love the Q6 as well, but the LG C8 is better. That is qualified of course, in that I've seen the Q8 and Q6 side by side and the Q8 was superior to the Q6 so I can't compare a q8 to the LG. Basically, the TV rocks.

This picture quality of this TV is absolutely stunning. It is exceptionally thin, has a very narrow frame, and if wall-mounted has a very clean appearance without brand labels and LED lights. The sound quality is also very good, particularly for how thin the set is. I would only recommend using an external sound system to contribute to a more theater-like experience. The stand is a little large an bulky compared to the clean lines of the set.

At the price I bought this TV I feel like I stole it. In every category that I think makes the best picture quality, the LG OLED is number one in all. Color, contrast, motion, upscaling, and functionality. I couldn't have asked for a better set. One draw back may be I wish it was bigger and cheaper. Other than that it will smash any other TV in the house. I have had it a month now and wish I would have made the purchase sooner.

Great staff at Thousand Oaks, Ca store. Guide me thru many selection of TVs. Went thru Samsung, Sony and LGs. Overall I select LGs OLED C8 Picture quality is great. Love the remote except don’t know how to unprogram the ps4. When I turn on the tv it turns on my ps4. Overall I recommend this tv to anyone. Take advantage of the Best Buy credit card. Was able to get lots of points for my next purchase. Will be using it towards Xbox X.

I had a bad experience with my last LG OLED B7 (having a strip of LEDs fail within the first month), so I upgraded the unit to the newer model hoping to have better luck. So far, the picture is amazing and the new features added with the updated processor are a bonus for gaming and pretty much any 1080p video looks almost HDR quality. Considerably more dolby vision content via Netflix really shows off this TVs ability to have near perfect images.

So I been wanting a OLED TV for a while now but couldn't think of reason to spend $4,000 on tv. I knew the specs and whole 9 yards. But last time when I was at the store the guy worked with me a got me a awesome deal on this TV along with best LG sound bar and 4k DVD player. Couldn't walk away from that deal so I end up buying it and haven't regretted it at all. I would recommend everyone to get this TV cuz it will surpass ur hopes...

I had the 55C6PUA and unfortunately the screen encountered the problem that the 2016 models had besides the burn in, it had a line on the middle of the screen and being that it was curved it was very noticeable. They changed the board on the TV and that made it worse and caused multiple lines. Geek Squad verified that the screen could not be fixed and so they approved me for a new one. Before I go on I highly recommend the Geek Squad Protection Plans on any electronics because if I didn't have it I would have been out of quite a chunk of money because OLED's are not cheap. Back to my story, I went ahead and did the exchange, paid the difference for the 65C8PUA, this TV all I can say in order to describe it is WOW, The upgrades that they have done with the new chips and the WebOS, this TV is amazing and smart. If you are very picky about your picture quality and want nothing but the best from Best Buy, get yourself one of these babies, it may seem painful at the register but once it is in your house and you are in your comfy chair, you will not be concerned about how much you paid, you will understand why you paid that much and the TV pays for itself because you will be hooked.

This is an AMAZING TV. After watching LED the last 10 years or so it takes about a week to get use to OLED technology. But once you're use to it nothing else comes close. We have had a 65" 2016 Samsung 9000 series tv, a 2017 65" Samsung 9500 series tv and a 2017 Vizio P65-c1 model and this OLED leads the pack. The LEDs get brighter but overall I prefer the OLED picture better

I had the new Sony Master Series A9 and don't get me wrong, that display is outstanding, in fact Sony needed to roll out the A9 Master to compete with the LG C8 because none of their other OLEDS could compete. After spending a good deal of time with both sets, we come to the conclusion that the difference in picture quality is splitting hairs. Even if the Sony A9 and the LG C8 were the same price, I think we would still opt for the LG C8.. In my opinion, it reproduces more life like detail when watching a live broadcast of the news. I can see the pores and skin tones after calibration better with the LG. This review is coming from someone who was and still loves Sony. However I think Sony needs to start selling their products at a more competitive price point for what you get. Not to mention that up until the new Master series, Sony's operating system or software is 10 years behind LG and even Samsung who's TV's aren't anything more than a flashing over blooming billboard. People that buy Samsung TV's really don't understand quality.. lol

As most other have said, the picture on this TV is fantastic. Can’t add a lot to that. Although I understand the technology and issues associated with OLD, it is a bit disconcerting to spend a large sum on a TV realizing it can be subject to screen “burn in.” I am old enough to remember the problem with old Cathode Ray Tube TV sets that suffered from this problem, and it was is some cases a major issue. Not wishing to risk the problem with the LG unit, I choose to purchase the Best Buy five-year service plan which covers the potential burn in problem. I know LG has taken steps to reduce the problem in their OLD sets, and hopefully they will get this issue completely resolved in the coming years. I also want to say how pleased I am with the buying experience at Best Buy. The salesman I dealt with was very knowledgeable about the two different TV brands and models I was considering, which was very helpful. Because of its size, I did not want to risk damaging the TV buy installing it myself, and had the Geek Squad do the install and setup. The fellow who did the setup was very knowledgeable about the process, and did a good job of integrating the TV into my existing sound system, and explaining the various TV functions. I purchased the TV on Black Friday, 2018, so have not had it for long. Hopefully all will go well for years to come. Stay tuned!

I’m on day four with the television and if it’s possible to have expectations exceeded on a television in this price range this one has done it for me. As impressive as the demonstration videos shown in the store nothing compared to my first movie in UHD (Black Panther) … my television is paired with the LG UBK90 Blu-Ray player and the LG SK10Y Sound Bar … the quality of the movie picture was amazing and while my rear speakers haven’t arrived the sound bar alone produced some very impressive sound. I was a little worried about how the picture would hold up for non-movie viewings … meaning when I didn’t have the lights down and/or there might be light coming in from the window. Although mine is set-up in a basement there’s still a good sized window with southern exposure that even with the blinds drawn can let in a fair amount of light during the day (and it’s straight across the room opposite the television). My experience has been reflection and/or bright lighting within the room have not taken away from the picture quality for me. I’ve so enjoyed the picture quality that it’s sent me in search of more opportunities to watch shows in UHD w/Dolby Vision … so I paid the extra $3 to up my Netflix and jumped back into season three of Daredevil … a total game changer … with my old television I always felt that show was filmed too dark and now I see it was probably just my television as the UHD is perfect and the sound is amazing for a television show. I’ll definitely be looking to find more Netflix shows that are also upgraded in both sound and visually. I’ve ready a lot of negative reviews on the Magic Wand remote it comes with … while it’s taking some time to get used to and will never replace my TiVo remote as my primary for watching regular TV once it’s configured and you start to get the hang of it I’ve found it great for Netflix and movie watching. Got rid of my Harmony remote (of course it also helps that my TV/BR/SB combo are all LG products so they all work together very nicely – previously using a home theater receiver and multiple components the Harmony remote was needed to try and reduce clutter and turn on or off necessary components based on what I was wanting to do).
