Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class C9PUA Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. They appreciate the gaming capabilities and the future-proofing provided by the HDMI 2.1 ports. While some find the remote control difficult to use and the TV expensive, concerns about burn-in and the unattractive design when wall-mounted are also mentioned.

    Better buy than the CX

I actually first purchase the CX, but after learning that 1) it had black level issues with Dolby Vision, 2) its HDMI 2.1 had been downgraded to 40 Gbps, and 3) the C9's VRR, G-Sync, HDR, and everything works flawlessly, I decided to exchange my CX and for this C9. I'm so glad I did. It's noticeably brighter, which makes HDR really pop, it has zero picture issues, and my panel was manufactured in Feb 2020 and is flawless.

I did a lot of research before purchasing the 65" LG C9 tv. I wanted a television that would look like the picture at the store. I was tired of being wowed at the store only to get a television home and the picture quality looked like the tv I'm replacing. This LG C9 was it and since it's OLED the pixels turn off individually, producing perfect blacks. This tv replaced a 55" LG E8 in my living room. Just tread carefully you may fall in love.

This is my first OLED TV and I am thrilled. Not only is the picture just outstanding but the features on this TV are unmatched by any other brand. I am really looking forward to watching movies again and gaming on the new consoles when they come out. The C9PUA is one of the more expensive 65" TVs but I think its picture quality, features and just plain ease of use more then make up for the price difference. Just a great TV in every way.

I moved to this TV from a ~2011 Samsung Plasma so it's like night and day. I was a holdout with plasma because they had such wonderful pictures, but our trooper finally died and it was time to move to 4k and this was like...wow. I'm not a total home theater nut, but I did my research on TV's and knew that the LG OLED is rated one of the best out there and I can see why. Delivery was fast and the box showed up without a scratch. Due to COVID, we let the driver just drop the TV on our front step and we brought it right in...light enough for two average people to manage. Setup was a breeze after an initial "du'uh" moment with connecting the base. The thing is literally as thin as a pane of glass and it runs very cool. I can't get over how much lighter and thinner and more energy efficient it is over the old plasma. Hooking in my Onkyo receiver was similarly a breeze. I read that ARC playback can be a pain in the you-know-what to set up but it worked first try (as soon as I figured out that it was HDMI-2 that handles ARC). So in addition to a top notch picture, we're getting up to Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision on everything that streams with that capability. Not much in the way of picture tweaking was needed...I just set everything to Cinema mode and it's perfect. I'm also a fan of the magic remote. The mouse pointy thing is a little overly sensitive, so my preference is to just use the up/down/left/right buttons instead (though my cats would prefer me to use the pointer much, much more). I really like how I no longer need to wrangle three remotes.

So.. I returned the Sony X950G, picture quality was nice but the viewing angle was a real dealbreaker.. I mean, you are not right in front of the tv you are done.. colors are washed , terrible ! I get the OLED , FINALLY! Gee squad ( awesome) delivers it and put it together.. I start watching stuff and... guys! This thing blows your socks off! This tv set is un-REAL, I am so happy with the way the picture looks that I can not even think about "exploring more options" I mean what could be better than this?? I want to point out that I need you NOT TO worry about being reflective... my living rooms is quite bright and I have ZERO problem with that ( i was pretty worried based on the reviews and youtube videos I have watched) but NO, no problem, it is as reflective as the sony I had and, to be honest whatever it is it doesn't take away from the beautiful picture you get.. obviously like any tv it's better at night but I am fine during the day as well. Software is good, lots of settings and most of them are easy to figure it out and make the picture exactly as you want it. People this tv is the best you can get right now I think, I was considering Sony as well but , I find that Dolby Vision is truly AWESOME and Samsung... doesn't have that... get the LG C9!

This is a wonderfully beautiful TV and functions seamlessly with my PC. I owned it for a year until it was broken in a move, sadly. It is difficult to handle as the base is rather heavy, the screen is extremely thin and there is nowhere to grab the thing from. I will be getting the cx to replace it. It's great, just never move it. If you're gonna mount it, maybe get the gx and have some piece of mind.

We wanted the tv that makes going to the theater redundant. Which means pretty pretty blacks were for the win. For me 4k is clearer than a Blu-ray but not a game changer it was the hdr on 4k disc that made me convinced. I did have to tweek the settings a bit out of box it uses sharpening to cheat the upcompression and looks terrible on any shot that designed for depth of field. Anyways after some tweaking looks purdy.

Amazing...I'm upgrading from a dead 55" Sony that was about ten years old (with about 12 years worth of hours on it!). The picture on this OLED is nothing short of stunning...the blacks are SO deep...watching a good animated show like Final Space really demonstrates how contrasty this thing is. We think it was worth the $$. I can't speak to the sound though, as I have it hooked up to a solid home theater system.

I love the picture on this tv. Everything is crisp and you can tell a big difference in picture quality over a LED TV. I don’t really use any of the smart features since my AppleTV is plugged in, so I can’t speak for those. I’ve also never had an issue with burn-in with it, but I also try to avoid watching content that have stationary logos for long periods of time. I’ll never not have an OLED now.

OLED for the win. Amazing picture quality. Mainly being used with my Xbox, which looks amazing. I've not suffered any burn in, but I don't leave it on for hours. Only real negative is mounting the TV. It's really hard to pick it up without pushing on the panel. Luckily no damage occurred

Had a 6 year old 55" Samsung led and really wanted to try an oled. Big difference in picture quality as everything just jumps out at you with the infinite contrast and deep blacks. Does an excellent job with upscaling even sdr. The 65 inch screen is really impressive. My only complaint is that I didn't have the extra money for the 77 inch model. Great TV so far and it was a great deal at the black Friday price.

This tv is just excellent! I went through and did a lot of research between watching YouTube videos and going through various different review sites. No matter where I looked this tv was always popping up and was always a recommended. After having it for a few days I can see why. The picture quality is fantastic and watching content in HDR and Dolby Vision is amazing! Can’t go wrong with this one!

I have been looking at this OLED by LG for months. The source material at my Best Buy looked spectacular. I was worried when I got it home it would not look as good. I was wrong. Using my Apple TV watching movies the picture is so good. Blacks are black and colors are so accurate. Went back and watch GOT and was able to see things I had missed on my Samsung LED TV. This tv does not disappoint. Highly recommended.

The picture quality I'm beyond happy with. The blacks are amazing they're deep and rich and other Non OLED tv would compare to it. If you have this next to a non OLED tv, you will notice the OLED tv Black looks black and the non OLED blacks look gray. Apps all work smoothly also, only complaint I hate the magic remote and hopefully in the near future LG will maybe release a update to disable the magic remote.

Best tv I’ve ever owned by far. Picture quality is fantastic and the blacks are so crisp. I am in disbelief how thin the screen is. 4K content through Amazon or Netflix is beautiful. I’m not a gamer, so I can’t comment on that aspect. I’ve been playing around with some of the picture settings. Standard and cinema home modes both are pleasing to my eyes. The lg content store seems to have most of the apps I want (except HBO Go).

One of the best tv in the market in 2019 and 2020 the tv can fix the color and motion of every movies or video on YouTube to makes it better for your views the only downside for this tv is that the price is not cheap but if you want the best then don’t worry about the budget and get it also it will be perfect for ps5 and Xbox series x if you plan to upgrade to the next gems systems
