Customers are pleased with the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class C9PUA Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. They appreciate the gaming capabilities and the future-proofing provided by the HDMI 2.1 ports. While some find the remote control difficult to use and the TV expensive, concerns about burn-in and the unattractive design when wall-mounted are also mentioned.

I replaced my old Panasonic VT Plasma with this. I am very impressed with the picture and how the black levels look. I highly recommend this TV if you are looking for the best picture on the market.

This TV’s picture quality is superb and at the time of typing this, virtually unmatched. The only reason I cannot give a 5 star review is due to quality control with LG builds of the innovative OLED technology. Early adopters of this leap forward have had their wallets singed with the constant threat of potential burn-in that was supposedly inevitably unless skillful calibration and babying of the OLED panel via brightness controls. Other risks of purchasing this technology include the chance of getting an inferior panel that would mean having to return and already delicate piece of engineering that is one one end immensely heavy at the base while extremely thin and dainty on the other. My model had something called COIL WHINE in the power supply unit that only occurs during scenes of high dynamic range and very bright screens. The best way I’ve found to test for this is by using the Picture Test feature in settings and making sure volume is off to see if any internal noises occur from the back of the screen. I’ve managed to mitigate the occurrence of this unfortunate aspect of the LG C9 and overlook the annoyance as the visual fidelity is unparalleled for the price. Buyers be aware to beware, you may get a perfect LG OLED TV or you might be buying an expensive pain in the neck.

This TV is amazing. The quality of the picture is fantastic. It is super thin so be careful when handling the unit. If placing on a wall mount you will definitely need two people to handle. Set up is easy and we live stream with Hulu for it. We have used the HDMI Arc connection to an LG sound Bar. Be sure to have the arrow on the HDMI cable pointing to the sound bar and not the other way around. The unit comes with a fiber optic cable but not an HDMI Arc cable. You will lose some of the functionality when using the fiver optic cable.

Hello I'm from the future, why I say this is that I have seen many of the delights this world has, and will have to offer. One of these delights is this LG Television. Bright whites, deep dark blacks, 120HZ display (didnt even realize it had that), HDR etc.
I use this tv for viewing and have my way too expensive laptop plugged into it. The included options given by LG such as IPTV built in, and a plethora of apps (youtube, plex, spotify, etc.) all expand on this tv's usefullness.
Going back to the future without this tv will be hard, but, I leave this embellishment of my time flirting with this 65 inch beast as a mark of things to come, hope be with you.

I was looking at buying an LG Oled CX and then found this open box C9 at my local Best Buy at an incredible price. Since this is last year’s model and is 99% identical to the CX, I went ahead an purchased this TV. I have to say that this is now the best TV that I have ever owned. I always purchase the highest rated TV when it’s time, and the CXC9 is this year’s highest rated TV. Every time I turn on this TV I am speechless. My son who plays XBox on this TV keeps telling me how stunning the image quality is. There is no better TV than the LG Oled C9/CX. Period. End of Story. If you can find a C9 at a big discount as I did, buy it.

WOW!! How else to describe this 65" LG OLED Smart 4K UHD TV. It was time. We had owned a 42" Panasonic Plasma TV since 2006 and there was nothing really wrong with it, but the technology has moved ahead so much since then we decided we owed ourselves a little luxury item as a Christmas gift to ourselves. The blacks are BLACK, just as advertised. The color just pops! Watching true 4K UHD video (like those found doing a YouTube search) is absolutely amazing!! Even regular local broadcasts look great. My wife said, "Why didn't we get this a long time ago?" I said, "You wouldn't let me!" Now she's mad that we didn't spend the money earlier. WE LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Great job, LG!

Controls take some getting used to. I like what this TV has to offer but home smart integration is difficult and I have not achieved that part with LG ThinQ and smartthings in my home. Because the screen is so thin I am apprehensive about handling it without other help to handle it. For my viewing usage I don't think burn it well ever be an issue even if I watch long term static images. The sound system on this TV is very good but I have noticed you cannot get a bass punch without external speakers. I think the TV is much heavier that I anticipated while on the table stand. Best of all, I believe you cannot beat the excellence in the picture even if it is only 1080p.

This TV’s picture quality has exceeded my expectation. The black levels make dark scenes so well defined. The app support for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ stream 4K content very well.

Set up of the tv was a breeze. Factory settings require little, if any tweaking, for a great picture. But hey, I am a little more discerning so yeah I played around with the settings to find what suited me. Although not all satellite channels are created equal, this tv does an amazing job upscaling content to 4K. The sound is great, but it doesn't really shine unless you turn the volume up to 15 or higher. Watching 4K UHD disks on this tv is just..... UNBELIEVABLE!!! All in all I am extremely pleased with this tv so far, I have had it about 3 weeks. Since getting this LG OLED it is difficult to watch anything on any other tv in the house now.

When my husband suggested this tv, I saw the price and about had a heart attack. My Hubbie researches everything, so to talk me into it, he went through all the bells and whistles. None of the reviews prepared me for when we got it home. This tv is amazing. It is the best picture I have ever seen. The tv is super thin, which worries me a bit, but the base is very heavy and supports the tv perfectly. I am blow away by the picture quality and the way it up converts my regular dvds to high def. the first movie I would suggest you watch on it is the Star Wars movies. Even the old ones look different. This tv is worth the money and more!

Let me say with as much clarity as the picture and sound on this tv - it is simply awesome! I have owned dozens of televisions and carefully researched each one. Nothing I have owned compares to this. We’ve had it since last Christmas and what a present we gave ourselves! The picture is upscaled so even regular shows look great. The 4K video feeds make you feel like you are looking through a window. The sound is just as good. I keep the volume at 10 even though it goes to 60. The downward-facing speakers bounce the sound off the curved stand and are capable of filling the room, bass and all. In no way is this tv disappointing.

First, I replaced a 4 year old Samsung 8000 led. It worked fine. So I got the Sony 900f and it looked like trash. Huge form factor and sub par picture. Returned it the next day.
Picked up the B8 65 inch. Watched it for a week or so. It was nice but noticed a little slow down when playing 4k HDR games. Not much but the processor was working hard. Decided to return it and just get what I wanted. The LG C9 65 inch.
First and foremost. The base is much better than the B8. Not nearly as flimsy. Next. The picture just looked way better. Noticeably better. Gaming on the One X is way better over the B8. even watching cable. Very impressed.
Moral of story. Get the C9. Dont settle.

There is little doubt that this TV delivers one of the best - if not the best - picture quality available today. There are some issues with fast motion, such as the view of the football on a long pass. With "TruMotion" on (as is the default), the football becomes partially transparent and seems to disappear. Turning TruMotion off reduces that glitch but doesn't eliminate it completely. There are also some software design issues that mostly relate to the TV trying to substitute for my DirectTV box - and doing so only semi-effectively. Still have to use a Roku to stream HBO, which was a big disappointment to me and means that I couldn't take my Roku to use with my other television, as I had planned. Why LG can't get the HBO streaming app in their library, I don't know. Sound has been a bit challenging to me as well. Using HDMI ARC to connect to my soundbar and lip sync is an issue. The TV allows you to adjust it but it seems to vary by A/V source and it seems to reset itself sometimes, possibly when the software updates itself. Annoying issues that I didn't have with my Vizio TV using my Samsung soundbar. So, great picture quality (except for the disappearing football) and some minor quirks with the software. Otherwise, great TV.

4k 120hz OLED you've heard about it. Is it worth it? Yes. OLED is a worry point for many in terms of burn in. -For display models sure. Buy a new panel out of the box. LG is also aware that this is an issue they gave users the option to use the pixel refresher option in the menu to prevent this. Those that are also looking at the 2020 version of this panel if this one is OOS consider it. There is a slight difference in maximum throughput in the HDMI. Will you notice it? Probably not, especially if the device you are using isn't capable enough. As a happy C9 owner they have made me a believer of the brand.
