Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class C9PUA Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. They appreciate the gaming capabilities and the future-proofing provided by the HDMI 2.1 ports. While some find the remote control difficult to use and the TV expensive, concerns about burn-in and the unattractive design when wall-mounted are also mentioned.

Excellent picture quality, solid price ($2200)
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My one disappointment is that I was hoping to use the high refresh rate gsync option with my PC as well as the surround sound on my surround receiver. It looks like there is no way of doing this without purchasing an Earc receiver, which sucks because I just got a brand new one last summer that apparently only has regular ARC.

The Best TV Gets Even Better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, I am completely blown away by this TV. I thought my 2016 LG OLED TV was good...and it was. But they have really taken it to a new level with the improvements over the last 3 years. The overall picture quality of OLED can not be beat - that's long been the consensus amongst us audio/video-philes. But the fact that they were able to take the best and make it even better...well, it's nothing short of amazing. The truest blacks you will ever see on a TV, now with even brighter brights and better HDR including Dolby Vision. It's a truly breathtaking visual experience and let's face it - when you buy a TV the #1 most important thing is the picture quality. Not only is the OLED screen itself a site to behold, but LG has included all the settings you could possibly need to fine tune it exactly to your taste. The first thing I would suggest is turning off TruMotion - this is what causes the "soap opera effect" that makes movies and TV shows look like they were filmed using cheap home video cameras. Although for some crazy reason every TV manufacturer ships TV's with this type of feature enabled by default so I think a lot of people just think it's the way modern TV's are supposed to look. It's not! Turn it off! The other settings can be set to your taste and there are plenty of places online to get expert suggestions on those as well. But suffice it to say, this TV has every setting you could possibly want to get the best picture on the best tv in the world! This TV also has a great processor that does some amazing upscaling. Our regular Cable TV shows never looked so good. But LG didn't stop at that. The "Smart" aspect of this TV has me as a gadget geek just absolutely giddy! This is also a huge improvement over my 2016 model. The remote is much improved and sits nicely in your hand and works as easy as a mouse with a computer. And when you press the mic button, magic happens - you can search for a show or movie and LG will display everywhere it's available that you have connected to - Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu - as well as all the places you can buy or rent it - Fandango, Google PLay, Vudu. No more switching from app to app trying to find it - LG does it for you! But that is just the beginning - this TV also has the Google Assistant built in. Check the weather - or your calendar - or turn off your smart lights all from your TV remote. (And Alexa integration is supposed to be coming soon via a software update.) And the way it displays responses is brilliant - it doesn't take over your whole screen. You can still have your show or game going - it just shows on the bottom or the side. It's awesome. Physically, this TV has been improved with no ugly speaker grill anywhere to be seen - just a super thin bezel that is barely noticeable. The TV itself is almost paper thin except in the lower back which holds all the processing power, but even that is much smaller than it was on my old OLED. The HDMI side ports are easy to get to but tucked far enough back so that you won't see things poking out of the side of the TV when plugged in which is great. This is by far the best TV I have ever owned. Previously my 2016 LG OLED was the best, but this one has an even better OLED screen and a far superior user interface. Needless to say I am BLOWN away by this amazing OLED TV and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for the best of the best! If I have any regrets it's only that I couldn't get the larger version! Next time...

Get the Sony
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew I should have spent the extra money and went for the Sony. I returned this and did just that this tv does strange like distorted picture when scrolling video timelines and buttons (skip intro) would be 2 different colors for no reason but the thing I disliked the most was that if the tv is on one input and you turn on something else all my Sony TVs switch to the other input automatically and this tv does not other then that this tv looks amazing but is missing some basic things for the price it should have and also the first one I got was damaged and the store had no more so I had to have a new one delivered I will add a pic of the damaged one as well

Great Until It Stopped Working
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have given the TV a 5-Star review if it hadn't died on us last night. A year after purchase and now a green line appears when you turn it on, and then it shuts off. Expected more from a TV that originally cost around $3,500. Bought the Geek Squad Coverage, so we will see what happens. Considering it's the holidays and my kid is stuck at home, I'm more than a little annoyed. Geek Squad says first available date is on Christmas Eve, so that's awesome. Not only that, they're sending a couple of random parts that they hope will fix it, so who knows if the issue is going to be resolved or if they're going to have to send more parts and reschedule. Honestly, I feel like the right thing to do here would be to just replace the TV considering the current situation. Extremely upset with how this is all playing out. Geek Squad rep who scheduled my appointment suggested I just buy another TV from Best Buy and then return when mine is fixed.

One of the Best TVs you can buy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Where do I start with this thing? The LG OLED TVs are the benchmark for top of the line picture quality and based on the research I did before buying and the other reviews I am not the only one to think so. I can’t speak enough about the picture quality and perfect blacks but there are plenty of reviews that speak volumes to the quality there so i will mention some things I have fell in love with that I didn’t expect. First off, the magic remote is hands down the coolest thing. At first I thought I would hate it but it really is an astounding piece of technology and something I didn’t even care about when I purchased this. It’s very intuitive, setup was a breeze for everything, it picked up all my other input signals in a heartbeat. Only exception was my fire stick 4K which I had to do a quick google search and play with some settings on the fire stick to get to work. This tv is basically and Apple TV as well. We had an old Apple TV that we basically only used so we can screen mirror and use airplay seamlessly l, well I just gave my old one to my brother. This tv picks up the airplay like a breeze and frees up an HDMI port for me. In addition, as others have said, if you can use the TVs internal apps instead of a 3rd party media like Apple TV or fire stick, I have noticed the quality, especially audio quality, is far superior. The tv outputs Dolby atmos, Dolby vision, HDR, etc. and many times these players do not. Fortunately the App Store has just about everything although I have yet to see hbo max available yet, but for those that are unaware, hbo max does not offer 4K streaming anyway - a major drawback on their part. Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon all come preloaded and offer 4K content. STARZ is available on the store but I don’t know about 4K content, I am assuming they are like HBO Max in that regard. Basically if you can use the tv apps, do it as the quality is much better. If you’re wondering about a good budget sound bar to pair to get the atmos and Dolby content but don’t want to spend a bunch. I bought the Vizio 36312 sound bar from bestbuy for $270 and haven’t looked back. Again the quality is noticeably better playing on the tv apps vs my DirecTV. It doesn’t have the eARC but does have ARC support, then again to get a sound bar that support eARC its gonna cost you. I can’t speak to burn in as it’s still new. It does have the auto pixel refresher that runs automatically once you shut it off after 4 hours of use (so if you use it 1.5 hours one day and 3 hours the next, it will run). It does have a manual refresher but I was told only to use that if it prompts you (which I believe it will do after 2000 hours or so but don’t quote me on that) or if you notice any picture issues. To be safe I bought the magnolia 5 year warranty which covers burn in to give me a warm fuzzy feeling and actually saved a bit over the GS warranty (worth looking into if your BB has a Magnolia section). If you have been looking at this tv and and are questioning if it’s worth it, the answer is a firm yes. I have gotten nothing but compliments from my friends and family and it is really a remarkable tv.

It's a 60 hz TV. Lowest TV Standard
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is listed as a 120hz tv but it's actually a 60hz tv. Any device, 4k blu ray, Xbox X, Playstation 4 will produce 60hz. This is the lowest it can go and is no different than a $200 tv. With an external Netflix account, played through the tv internet app is the only way top achieve 120hz. It's stutters when watching movies or playing games. It also sits below the LG Soundbars so they all block the screen. Difficult to navigate and tv like to grey out options and makes you dig for them. I exchanged it for a Samsung

Posted .Refresh rate is an LED/LCD specification. OLED's have a native 120 Hertz panel and have a refresh rate of as low as 0.001 ms which for reference is around 1,000 times faster than a standard LED/LCD panel. ^CP

Samsung fan, be truned to OLED?
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay so all my TV have been from Samsung I get a employee discount form them for the company I work for. Long story short customers service form Samsung is horrible buy your TV from a store the prides them self on customers service like Best Buy. Now the Q90R vs LG C9 both top of the line TVs Wich is better, well to be fair Q90R is and outstanding TV. The two TV picture quality is the same to most people only a few will see the difference. Now to buy the LG C9 over the Q90R would be HDMI 2.1 on the Samsung it only on HDMI port 4 on the LG it is on all ports, but the Samsung only dose 4k 120hz or FPS ( frames per second ). The LG dose 4k 120hz and eARC on HDMI port 2. Also LG dose Dolby vision HDR and HDR 10. We're Samsung only doing HDR 10. So for the same price and about the same picture you get future proof for the LG and Samsung would just have to upgrade next year get the same features this year. Now the difference between OLED and QLED boils down to perfect blacks and viewing off angle OLED has perfect blacks because it's organic life diodes Yes that means it is an organic material they are using for OLED so therefore overtime the OLED will fail because something that organic doesn't last forever also OLED is amazing off angle what that means is that if you have a bunch of friends over and you are not sitting directly at the TV and they are sitting to the left and right side of the TV they will still have a perfect view and the colors will not saturate it will still look the same as looking straight on. Now QLED has its best picture if you sit straight on so if you had friends over and they sat to the left and right of the TV and said the TV doesn't look that great they have to sit it's called the perfect spot that would be straight on but in the 2019TVs Samsung put an extra film to give better viewing angles Yes it does help but it had a compromise of color saturation therefore yellows and bright reds didn't pop as much but like I said before only people we have trained eyes and knew what they were looking for would have noticed it. but the both had 8.3 million pixels so when you want something in 4K both of them will display it the same the difference is one will have darker blacks That's the OLED The blooming is when there's something black and a bright white next to it you don't see the white light bleeding the black zone for gaming they're both perfect they both support variable refresh rate but LG has the edge due to it will do 4K at 120 frames per second native on all HDMI ports. Now where Samsung has the edge on LG TVs is nits brightness. That is how bright the TV can get to improve the HDR picture The brighter the TV the wider the gammit for colors it can produce OLED will never get up to 2,000 knits like the Samsung TVs can because if it did there would be burning burning is when the image is stuck on the TV and will never go away that image is burned in for life. If I remember right the OLED we'll get only up to 1,000 nits but since it can get perfect blacks you have unlimited contrast that will also help out with HDR but it should pop a little better on the Samsung. But this is once again I believe most people will never see the difference unless you have the TV side by side and you know what you're looking for Dolby vision verse HDR 10 is huge difference in HDR if you get an HDR content that supports Dolby vision and you watch that content induly vision it is night and day verse HDR 10 and that's why the LG TV is better than the Samsung cuz it does both.

OLED still reigns supreme!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So no doubt that OLED is the best, period. This set helps keep that statement true just for being an OLED panel with 4K and HDR and Dolby Vision+Atmos. but what we are really looking at here Are 2 very specific technologies that should influence you decision...first is LGs webOS which is still one of the top smart tv interfaces, it’s fluid, fast and very intuitive - the magic remote makes this experience even better. Second, is HDMI 2.1 - at this point in time, you should not be looking at a tv that doesn’t support this or at the very least, make sure HDMI 2.1 support is coming, but this one has it NOW! Pretty much future proof as far as HDMI technology is confirmed for a few years. All the tech jargon aside, great picture even without calibrating(which you should do for any set anyway). Design is second to none, except for LGs own more premium models. Sound out of the box is quite good even without an external sound system connected. Buy this today....unless you are going for the 77inch haha - OLED competition is heating up and the prices are going to reflect that very soon, so really no reason not to.

2 weeks in and the screen has burned in HOLES.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 weeks of owning this Television I looked up close at the screen to dust it.... Well there are small circular burn holes all over it! the screen has been melting in spots all over the bottom half of the screen. I've never seen or heard of this. Another quality product from LG.

Amazing picture looks 3D
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has an amazing picture. The physical design is lovely and the blacks are incredibly black. The contrast this OLED tv has is awesome and creates depth to the images on the screen. Hard to describe but I love it. It has all the smart tv apps including AppleTV app, and the remote with the Wii-like control wand is so easy to use. This is the best TV I’ve seen and superior in my opinion to the QLED of Samsung.
