Customers are pleased with the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class C9PUA Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. They appreciate the gaming capabilities and the future-proofing provided by the HDMI 2.1 ports. While some find the remote control difficult to use and the TV expensive, concerns about burn-in and the unattractive design when wall-mounted are also mentioned.

    Amazing TV!!

The 65" LG C9 OLED TV is absolutely amazing. The screen is thinner than an iPhone and it was super easy and intuitive to setup. I highly recommend this TV to anyone looking to upgrade. You can see the quality of the TV out of the box and it is important to follow the handling instructions so you don't stress the screen when trying to hang it. Definitely ask someone for help for a TV of this size. Don't try to be a hero and drop your new TV doing it alone. I paired this with a 1/2" thick Vogel's 505 fixed wall mount to keep it as tight as possible to the wall. Although the screen is super thin the bottom of the TV is thicker, so the screen will stand off the wall. What I liked most about this TV is how well the HDMI ARC channel works with my Marantz receiver, Xbox OneX, live TV or Roku. Everything plays through my external speakers without a hitch and I can use the magic remote to control volume easily and not have to worry about trying to switch inputs or channels to make it work. My previous TV drove me nuts with this not working well. Switching inputs is a breeze by hitting the home button where you can access all connected components and apps. The menu is customizable as well for apps you use the most. The remote has a pointer function as well, and you navigate the TV menu this way. I also chose the LG C9 because it has the new HDMI 2.1 standard and makes it more future-proof for all of the next gen devices rolling out. The HDMI 2.1 standard pushes higher bandwidth than HDMI 2.0 and supports eARC, HDR and allows significantly higher frame rates and low input lag for gaming consoles and other external devices. The LG C9 also has the true capability to go to a full 120 frames per second on 4K with this screen, which will make a huge difference when gaming or watching sports, action movies, etc. That being said, the source of the content needs to be able to output 120fps 4K content through HDMI 2.1 to reap that benefit and we are not there yet. It will come soon enough. This is a good buy if you absolutely need a new TV now. I did, as my old Samsung 65" 1080p TV died, so was a good time for me. If you already have a 4K TV and are looking to upgrade, maybe wait a little bit longer to see what the 2020 models are coming out with and you could save some money to get the more advanced features too.

I love the look of this OLED. I did a lot of research before deciding to pick this one. This one may even be better performing than the CX model out this year. I love the fact that its future proofed with all of the HDMI inputs being HDMI 2.1. The picture quality is amazing like you would expect from an OLED. The infinite contrast and black levels are incredible to see. The colors are very vibrant and there seems to be a lot of control to be able to adjust the picture quality to your liking. I don't have a color calibrator but it seems to be well calibrated out of the box. Its incredible to see how thin the panel is. I'm scared to even manage it for fear of damaging it. Once I had it set up on the TV stand though it seems very stable with the included stand and I don't have any fear of it tipping over. The user interface takes some getting used to if you've never used an LG smart TV powered with webOS. Once you get used to it though, its not difficult to manage or find what you need to. It also seems to be pretty snappy at switching apps or inputs. However, I wish the voice command activation from the remote was a bit quicker. It takes like a second or two to activate once I push the voice command button on the remote. I do love how I can program the remote to work with my Xfinity cable box though. LG also seems pretty good at supporting this TV with some frequent firmware updates to improve functionality and performance. I look forward to taking advantage of the G-sync compatibility of this TV and also the variable refresh rate functionality. I waited a long time for this TV to come down in price and its still a pretty expensive TV especially considering all the better value options that are out there. But in terms of OLED tv's, I believe this is the best option out there if you love movies and games.

I did a lot of research on makes and models of TVs before settling on this one; I have no experience with LG, which made me a bit hesitant to dive into a new brand. My fears were allayed the moment the first 4K content appeared on the screen. I've seen many 4K TVs out there, and the brightness, color reproduction, contrast, and pure, perfect black are beyond anything I could have wished for. 4K HDR content looks unbelievably brilliant on the screen and a few features (such as 2-way HDMI that I can use to both pipe video to my TV from external sources as well as pipe audio back to my receiver) caught me by happy surprise. I wasn't interested initially in the Smart aspect of the TV, but I have been very happy with it, so much so that our Roku Ultra lies dormant beside the receiver. There are still more channels to be had, but everything I am looking for is there. My only complaint is that OLED is of course more expensive these days, but thanks to Black Friday deals and some credit I had racked up at Best Buy, I was able to indulge in what I hope will be a long-term purchase (the last big TV I bought was a 52" Sony 1080P in 2007). At a friend's house recently I got to view the same-size 4K LED TV that I used to swoon over and I chuckled to myself at how washed out and boring the images looked compared to what I've now become used to. Well done, LG. Well done.

Positives • Incredible motion handling and gaming performance • Superb color rendering for normal and HDR content • Excellent viewing angles • OLED-perfect contrast, dimming and black levels • Beautifully sharp overall picture quality Negatives • Possible burn-in problem due to OLED pixel display • Could have been brighter still with some content • Native Audio could be better Bottom Line The bottom line for the LG C9 OLED is that it’s generally an incredibly powerful, superb performer. We expected little less from a premium OLED 4K HDR TV. That said, this model doesn’t improve enormously upon what the 2018 LG C8 was capable of despite its considerably higher price Thus, if you just want a great 4K HDR OLED TV, without having the absolute newest technology, there are alternative 2018 options available for lower prices. There are also some superb 2018 and 2019 LCD 4K HDR TVs available but they won’t match the C9’s spectacular dimming precision or perfect black levels.

Coming from a back lighted LED TV that was great but this TV has much better contrast, color, and black levels even in a well lighted room. That could be because I haven't replaced my TV for the past 7-8 years and any newer TV will be better in those areas. The sound is also pretty good for this type of TV. It fires out of the bottom and is redirected forward from the design of the stand. Love the fact that it has HDMI 2.1, (future proof) and Dolby Atmos , HD+. The smart TV aspects bring it home and make me glad that I picked this model after watching a lot of reviews.

Bought it in 2020 and still amazes everyone that sees it for the first, second and third time. I bought it for the HDMI 2.1, if you don’t know what that is at least Google it. I wouldn’t buy a new TV without it. Also, if you have an iphone or Apple device it connects with ease. If you’re more of an Android person, get the Sony version. By brother has the Sony version, it’s the same picture with a different processor. Legit, LG supplies Sony with their screens.

This TV has it all: - World leading quality in picture due to OLED - Game mode that enhances image quality and balances game latency/response for great console gaming experiences on an OLED panel - Quite capable processor inside the TV to handle apps I love how fast the CPU in the TV switches between active apps. On my old TV which had an amazing picture but had awful app management, I had to use a Roku Ultra. Now, this TV is faster than that, because as soon I press the dedicated Netflix button, I am within Netflix interface in 1 second. No load, and no lag. This goes for all apps like Prime Video and YouTube. It has Airplay built into it but is a little buggy but it’s a hit or miss. When it works, it works well. The remote control acts as a mouse that you can control while holding mid-air. If you ever buy this tv, you’re not gonna want to use anything apart from OLED anymore- you cannot get over the crisp blacks because they are literally deactivated pixels on-screen. It lends to a gorgeous picture that finally allows you to see very subtle dark details that are otherwise marred by backlight bleeds. This is an expensive product, but it’s a visual investment and a quality of life upgrade. If you understand this and you have the budget, get the 65”. You will be set.

You can find plenty of great 4K HDR 65" TVs for $400 or so now a days. Many people will be very happy with the results of those TVs. The C9... is not meant for those people. This is the type of TV that keeps you from going to the theater. The type of TV that can give you a seizure with it's absolutely insane OLED light levels. The type of TV that can take a mediocre picture and turn it into something great. This isn't a TV for people who simply want to watch their favorite show on Netflix. This TV is for enthusiasts and all of those who can truly appreciate it's picture, processor, motion handing, UI/OS, etc. The type of people who go out of their way to get native 4K 10-bit HDR content and play it locally without loss of quality from streaming. I'm not saying casual viewers will be disappointed... I'm simply saying to know what you are buying. There isn't a better TV on the market right now in my opinion. With that, comes a price-tag that may not be justifiable to those who 'just want to watch TV'. If you are one of the people I describe above... you will absolutely fall in love with this TV. Pros: -Accurate, mind blowing color (high color coverage) -Seizure capabilities (super deep blacks, insanely bright whites) -High refresh rate -Colors so popping that you feel you are in the picture -Good selection of pre-built color profiles (that are actually decent) -Great motion handling for an OLED (good for sports too) -Fantastic processor for clearing up the picture of lower quality content -Powerful OS/UI -Loud and clear speakers (if you are the type who uses TV speakers) -Plenty of ports -Cable management -Point and click remote -Thin -Sexy Cons: -Hard to remove from box (she thin up top and THICC down low) -Can seriously cause a seizure (needs a mode to reduce this if user needs it) -The UI can be confusing -Point and click remote can be confusing -T

So far after having this TV for just over 20 days now. My wife and I are very pleased with this LG C9 TV. The settings are easy to understand a big plus for us. I like the remote it's easy to use and I like how you can ask it questions with the push of a button. One thing I didn't like about the remote; a mat finish on the remote would have a better feel to it because after holding the remote for a few minutes it seems a bit slippery in your hand. The picture is amazingly clear; the blacks are so deep and black with no bleeding. The sound quality is amazing also You don't even need a sound bar with this set. If your watching a good action movie or TV show you'll be surprised at how good the sound is. This TV also puts out some very nice sub-sounds like that put out by a sub woofer. It's not surround sound but this TV does it better than any other I have herd without a sound system connected to it. I still use my amp and speaker set up for better sound but it's also nice that the TV's sound is not lacking. We have Netflix so I put a 4K Planet Earth documentary on to see how 4K looked. We are spoiled it's really great! I recommended the LG - 65" Class - OLED - C9PUA Series TV

The LG C9 OLED is an incredible display. I've used an array of CRTs, plasmas, LCDs and even projectors and it beats them all. Having already had OLEDs in smartphones I knew what to expect but it still blows me away after a year of owning this TV. The contrast ratio is amazing and the peak brightness is so good that HDR is actually worth using. Corner to corner, the image is sharp and vibrant and black areas emit absolutely zero light. When displaying a fully black screen you literally can't tell it's turned on, even in a dark room. LG have put in nearly every feature you could want for using this as a gaming display, like a very low-latency game mode, black frame insertion, G-Sync, and 120FPS support, going all the way up to 4K120 with HDMI2.1, which at the time the TV was released basically nothing could output. The processor in the TV is fast enough to run WebOS smoothly and the "magic" remote is great. The physical design of the unit is also nice, classy and understated with a razor-thin bezel. The built-in speakers even sound surprisingly good. As for downsides, my unit does have a very mild color cast where the right side is a little warmer than the left. It's only noticeable on a pure white screen and I can't say it bothers me. There is an issue with G-Sync where the screen will flicker white when the refresh rate drops too low, but in practice it's rarely an issue if your PC is decent and I only notice it on loading screens. From what I understand it's an inevitable shortcoming of OLEDs. I have a few complaints with the WebOS UI, like how confusing it is to disable overscan. It's annoyingly hard to set the TV up correctly for playing PC games in 4K with HDR, though this is only partially LG's fault. All this is a small price to pay for such spectacular image quality. The only other issue I have with the LG OLED is that after using one I will never be satisfied with an LCD again!

Big decision to make but we are ssssooooo very gad we did. Well worth the extra moola for the OLED. The pic is so lifelike, you feel that you are right next to the person or actually sitting at the outdoor cafe with the actors having gals of wine or burger. Color and color variance is SUPERB and the blacks are true blacks not shades of grey. Truthfully, unless you want to blast out your family, a soundbar is not necessary as the sound quality with the upfront speakers on the TV works very well in our large family room with cathedral ceilings. We had the Geek Squad deliver (just for the size of theTV) and to set it up. Ease of use is phenomenal! Menus are easy to identify and select and of course there is Alexa to assist when she can. We love the British detective series and Britbox opens up an entire new viewing world as well as past favorites. Still trying to determine what streaming/cable we will keep (Netflix). 4K fire stick is a plus. Cannot say enough about how pleased/happy we are with our decision. Newer versions of the OLED have several new features to eliminate what was referred to as pixel burnout/degeneration. Visiting neighbors leave our house almost in disbelief of the crystal clear picture they viewed and the thinness of the screen. I cant tell you how impressed we are with the pic as well as assistance from the associates at the Geneva, IL Best Buy. BIG shout outs to our sales person, Ryan, Andrew and Cat at the Geneva customer service area and Trevor on the set up.

Better Viewing Experience Than The Last

I researched and shopped for a television that could compliment my current home theater system technology before I bought this LG. I'm pleased to say after a few months of usage from this product that everything is still working great as expected and advertised. Let's be frank with one and another. I could have purchased several 4K HD televisions for the price I paid for this one but I wanted to up my game and bring an exceptional viewing experience to my home. I indulged in the world of 4K UHD resolution and OLED smart television technology at the same time and don't regret the decision. I chose the medium size that this television is available in at 65 diagonal inches because my last television rest its soul was a plasma at 60 inches diagonally and only displayed at 1080P maximum resolution. The television has been a great addition and companion for my other 4K HD capable home theater system components; a Smart 4K UHD OLED TV with HDR has the latest visual and audible technologies built-in and whether you're listening to the sound through the television speakers or passing it through your capable Dolby Digital AV Receiver you will experience increased realism from all HD content you watch and hear from this television. You must use 4K HDMI High Resolution cables with this television and make sure they are rated for 18 Gbps high speed transmission with ethernet as required for most latest technology 4K HD home theater equipment. Also, the television is built well and is attractive relative to all the televisions manufactured these days but this television is very slim as all OLED televisions so it is important to know and follow the manufacturers instructions on placement, handling and care for this television which will require more attention. This was a review of my brief personal experience with this television that I shared with you. There are many features of this item not mentioned that are explained in detail on the manufacturers website and can be demonstrated in the store.

If you have never seen or experienced OLED...it is a must. That's the only way you will know what superior quality it can provide. When OLEDs first came out, the price was...well, out of reach for many of people. Not anymore. Pricing have come down a lot. Beyond crisp images and the blackest of blacks, with HDR, this is probably one of the best TV's on the market, period. I cannot speak for the stand or the speakers as I have mounted my TV to a stand mount and I paired this with a bose soundtouch 300. What makes this TV a complete steal? The fact that it's future proofed with HDMI 2.1 ports...I think this was one of the first TV's to come with these ports and LG made the best decision ever to provide these with. 2020 is almost ending and only now did a monitor company start announcing they will be releasing a monitor with HDMI 2.1 ports...crazy. HDMI 2.1 ports will allow the TV, if paired with a PC, to reach 4k resolutions with 120hz true refresh rate. Currently, there are no graphics cards on the market that can reach this...yet, but soon, hopefully, by the end of this year, they will be out and included. Speaking of PC use, as well as gaming console use, this TV also works great as a gaming TV. The lag is not that bad once you set it to game mode or PC mode if you're using it with a PC. And another HUGE plus to this TV is the fact that it supports GSYNC with a firmware update. THAT'S HUGE! I really have nothing bad to say about this TV. Great for movies, great for gaming, it does it all and because it's OLED...super images, color, etc.

I bought this TV because the expert reviews had this is as the best TV on the market right now that has HDMI 2.1 and boy did it deliver. Stunning clarity, beautiful colors, excellent black levels, it's all there. The magic remote is really nice, and while I prefer my menus more utilitarian, they do their job just fine. Can't wait until the PS5 comes out and I can really put it through its paces.

So I'm a little late doing this review. I thought I would give it a little time to see how this HUGE UPGRADE in tv's would be for me and my family. All I can say is WOW! This LG is a Maserati in the TV world. The picture quality is absolutely unmatched. I can't tell you how many times my wife and I have been sitting down watching a movie or show and said "Can you believe that picture"? The true black color tone is astonishing to say the least. It enhances the other colors and makes everything stand out and pop to say the least. Did I mention that this TV is sexy? Thinner then an iPhone, it is amazingly clean. So the price is a little steep, yes. But with the newer versions coming out, this tv might be found a little bit cheaper than when I bought it at Christmas. But I will tell you it is worth every penny you will spend. With it's tech forwarding abilities this tv will be mainstream for some time to come. You will be amazed at all the menu options and abilities this tv has to accommodate your viewing needs. Hook up was easy! I highly recommend that you have a second person to help get it out of the box. AND DEFINATELY FOLLOW THE INSTALL DIRECTIONS! All in all one of our best purchases. Best Buy made it a snap at asking questions and making sure I was satisfied with our purchase. Highly recommend.

I never knew how important contrast was for image quality until I got this tv. If you love watching movies with the best possible picture Oled is the way to go. Once you see Oled it can be unseen, QLED With full local dimming backlight comes close but not close enough to beat Oled’s incredible infinite contrast. This is my first LG product (excluding my refrigerator), and I’m very happy with the quality, design, sound, and even the WEB,OS operating system App Store. That being said, I did have an issue with a stuck white pixel ( LG &BestBuy geek squad support assisted me with excellent phone support) in the end BestBuy was awesome enough to exchange for another C9 since it was new. My only hassle was transportation. Since the TV is amazing and it’s my first LG experience I will keep my 5 star review, it’s just that good. After 300 hours of amazing looking Games , movies and streaming content I’m very happy with the C9.

I was not in the market for a tv, but decided to go window shopping and see how good the LG OLED's were in person. I decided to take a leap and buy one as the display in the store was amazing. I set up the tv next to my older 4k and was blown away by how much contrast and detail there is on the LG C9. I just wish I could take a month off so I can binge on HDR video and my PS4. The one thing I was concerned about was potential burn in. Best Buy's protection plan covers burn in and found that they do make good on those issues with reading some reviews when researching. If your'e a avid sports watcher and game player as I, avoid the stress and worry by buying the protection plan. The color and smoothness of the LG C9 is ridiculous! So so happy!

Having already owned a 55” C9 in my bedroom, I was so blown away that I had to get the 65” for my living room. Movies look outstanding, especially if the content you’re watching supports 4K and/or HDR. As a PC gamer, the C9 makes for a great monitor too. You get G-Sync and the ability to go up to 120Hz. At this point in time, 120hz only works if you set your PC’s resolution to 1080p or 1440p, but 4K120 will be possible once HDMI 2.1 devices such as next-gen consoles and graphics cards hit the market later this year (provided they don’t get delayed). Since this is an OLED, you do need to be careful with how long you keep static images (like channel logos or HUD elements) on screen, but burn-in shouldn’t be an issue if you vary the content you watch/play/etc. That said, the C9 is aboslutely fantastic, easily the best TV I’ve ever owned!

I upgraded from a 2016 C class OLED that I purchased refurbished. Unfortunately I had nothing but trouble with that television, screen had to be replaced and burn in was a constant problem. Despite this, I loved the oleds and wanted a new version. This tv is definitely a step up from the previous. I use the web browser a lot and can tell the processing speed is considerably faster. The on board speakers are clear and loud, black levels are improved...a lot more "true black", there are many new picture options (though most of them will never be used) and as a whole the television is more attractive looking but extremely heavy. As far as TVs go, the OLED is one of the best, though the burn-in problem is very real and pretty scary. There are some new features that are supposed to help with this and in the 7 months I've owned the tv, so far, it hasn't been a problem. If I had to do it over, Overall, this is a great mid-high range tv for someone that spends a lot of time watching movies or cable shows. I might have chose a lesser cost television of I had a do over.

I would recommend this to a friend
