Customers are saying
Customers are pleased with the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class C9PUA Series OLED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. They appreciate the gaming capabilities and the future-proofing provided by the HDMI 2.1 ports. While some find the remote control difficult to use and the TV expensive, concerns about burn-in and the unattractive design when wall-mounted are also mentioned.

Awesome TV - Best Picture hands down
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV before the SuperBowl like half the country does every year. Very happy I did. Replaced a 10 year old top of the line Samsung Plazma TV that still works great (but you can toast marshmallows with it.) Setup was challenging but if you follow the video instructions carefully you'll be fine. Picture is outstanding - my first 4K. It upscales really well - I have the older FIOS non-4k settop and it does a very good job making the signal look good with all types of content - movies to sports. I also watched the SuperBowl with 4K streaming via AppleTV and it was a religious experience. In fact when the stream froze in the 1st quarter, we switched back to the FIOS input and it was remarkably different. Very easy to tell. Anyway, picture is fantastic, We have it in our basement and area OLED should do well (and it does). Only disappointment is the control from the remote does not control the FIOS box very well. It does not properly pull up the guide and it lacks the ability to go BACK/Clear the menu to the TV once you open it. Very strange and annoying. I find myself having to use the FIOS remote. Other than that I am very happy I went with OLED over my other option which was a Samsung QLED 8 series. I have a 3 year old non-4k 8 series in our family room and I love it. My buddy just got the 4K 8 series and it is outstanding as well...I have just always wanted an OLED.

My second OLED and still the best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had 55" LG Signature OLED prior to this TV. OLEDs have an amazing picture and in fact this one is way thinner than my original LG Signature OLED... Amazingly thin and I thought the Signature was super thin. I moved up in size because of the new space I am in but also because I did have some fairly long standing burn in. I'm a news addict and it's inevitable. Yes, there are some technologies like Pixel shifting, Pixel refreshing and Logo moderation to help prevent burn in but anyone that says burn-in issues are a rarity or issues with older sets is fooling themselves, and you. OLED burn in is and will be an issue if you have bright (especially colored) static images on the TV like logos, news crawls and subtitles. The trade-off for that issue is that until it happens, you'll have the best picture available, especially for dim room viewing. Nothing beats OLED, there are perhaps some close approximators but there are drawbacks with those too like QLED TVs for instance that can be overly bright and vibrant. In the end, everyone has their preference but the LG OLEDs from a cost and picture quality perspective just beat everything. I was happy with my previous purchase and I am happy with this one and when this one has kicked, I'll probably get another until some new technology is developed that surpasses this. Until then, OLED all the way.

Best TV I have I haver seen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has to best TV I have ever seen. Perfect blacks make the best picture I think, and this TV has them. Right out of the box the Picture on this TV blew me away! Nice Bright Vivid Colors, and very decent sound for a TV as well. Even the smart remote is a step up from the rest! If you want the best TV on the market for 2019, you cannot go wrong with the LG C9!

Best TV of All Time
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went looking for a great tv for sports and movies and was lead to the OLED. My choice was between the Sony A8G and LG C9 so I did some homework on the two and the LG beat out the A8G and the more expensive A9G so the choice was easy. I’ve never seen a tv this crisp until now. The ease of use is unmatched and the thinness is unreal. I did see that OLED was not recommended for bright rooms but man I have 3 large windows facing my tv and I still had to turn the brightness down!! Overall I recommend the LG C9 over any other tv at it’s great price.

Gorgeous picture
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned this for about 6 months now. I could not be happier with the picture quality this OLED provides. Used for gaming (PS4) and 4K movie watching. The black levels and contrast this TV provide is unparalleled to any other type of tv technology available today. If you’re considering this OLED take the leap and enjoy all this has to offer.

The best 4K tv for PC Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With its built in Gsync support and high refresh rate you’d be hard pressed to find a better 4K television for PC gaming. Since it’s OLED you’re guaranteed the best possible color and contrast. The latency in gaming mode is only 13ms in 60Hz, 6ms at 120Hz. It is also forward looking and will allow 4K/120Hz when using HDMI 2.1 sources.

Best TV Ever
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an LG E6 (2016 3d OLED). I dont miss the 3d because the image is so contrasty it has this dimensionality to it where the image really pops off the screen. I can even tell colors are even more saturated and pop, and near dark is much cleaner than 2016, in fact I'd say perfect. No tinting issues on full white, 5% and 10% IRE look superclean even after just 100 hours and a manual comp cycle. Also future proofedwith hDMI 2.1, which the overpriced Sony does not have. 13ms latency, wth VRR means xbox one x and future systems will take gaming to the next level, especially when they can do 4k@120! Hands down best smart OS with WebOS and the magic pointer remote. Upscaling is super super clean too, like Sony level, and motion is a big improvement I've noticed even in 24hz film.

excellent TV
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for OLED tvs to come down in price, so I got the C9. Almost a year later, its been outstanding. 10/10 in color quality and since each "pixel" is controlled independently, black is true black as its turned off. This helps with energy efficiency to minor degree. Also the remote is the best I've ever had.

Amazing picture quality!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a Samsung curved suhd 65" 4k tv to this next evolution of tv/movie/game/sports watching experience, it's almost unbelievable. PC gaming is amazing, even allowing 1440p @120hz. Ive never had a tv give anything but "the bird" when changing the resolution to 1440p when connected to my pc. Future proofed it is, but on the extremist end. Straight out of the box, it looked amazing while in "demo mode" but it changes to it's own settings to make it look good. "Home mode" out of the box, not so ideal. It took some time to get the picture to my liking. And depending on what source or special movie effects "format" your displaying (SDR, HDR, DOLBY VISION, etc.) Each has picture settings that'll need to be changed if you want the same viewing experience throughout. Cable box users for one, make sure the uhd deep color is disabled for that input to avoid headaches with no audio/video problems. Have spent many hours trying to figure out why there was no audio from my cable box on my old tv and other 4k TV's just because if that feature. Samsung tv have the feature but wont display issues with it on. These LG's will if you're paying attention. Overall I love the TV!

Best Picture Ever!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading all the reviews, I was not expecting a great picture out of the box. The reviews were correct. I am not sure way LG ships these with the color so far off. Fortunately the TV has a huge number of options to make adjustments. After 2 days I had it close. it took me another two weeks using multiple sources to get it just right. Good quality sources look look amazing!! The black levels are like nothing I've ever seen. Everything looks more real as a result. I've heard complaints about the sound but I was pleasantly surprised by the frequency response relative to other televisions. If you are looking for home theater level quality, the TV speakers are not going to work with any TV. This set deserves a good high end system to get the whole experience. I am still getting used to the remote. We like the quick access buttons to Netflix and Prime but using it to fast forward and rewind live TV on Cox cable is a bit of a pain. They should have added those buttons on the remote. Overall, there is not a better set on the market.

Well pleased, but one glaring flaw.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this TV to replace a failed Sony 75" LED. Initial concern was that we would miss the the 10" larger screen by moving to the 65" OLED. In the end, that has not been the case at all. The picture quality, WebOS interface, motion sensitive pointer remote, etc. have all proven to be a great upgrade. We have been well pleased with the purchase except for one GLARING flaw. The ARC.HDMI port refuses to connect to my JBL/Harmon Karden soundbar. The unit worked perfectly with our Sony, so we have been disappointed to say the least. When it was initially connected, it crackled and worked for a bit before failing. All attempts to get the LG TV to connect with the soundbar are in vain. Looking through tech forums online, including LG's own forum, this appears to be a VERY common problem. Not just with JBL but with numerous soundbar setups of varying brands. To get around the issue, I had to connect the soundbar using an optical cable instead of an HDMI cable. Basic functions are there but certainly not as feature rich as with an HDMI ARC connection.

Outstanding Picture Quality
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far one of the clearest pictures I have seen among any Oled TV out there. The magic controller is simple to use and navigation through the TV’s settings and app features are a breeze. I highly recommend this TV to anyone who is interested in making a new purchase on a Oled set.

Excellent Sharp Picture.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a die-hard Samsung fan until now. While looking at the TV's in the show room, I was really impressed with the LG OLED and so I decided to give it a try. I am definitely not disappointed. Crystal clear picture with excellent black's and the remote is also great with it's functions.

Excellent Picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, I purchased this tv based on the picture quality when I saw it at Best Buy. I also did a little homework in reading reviews from CNET , Rtings, and others. I own a variety of televisions, from Samsung 75" & 70" (non high in), to the Sony 85" 900F, and TCL 65" 8 series (just purchased for $999). All wall mounted through my home. The TCL & Sony also have great pictures. One thing I can say is the LG has the best picture quality I have seen. When they say inky blacks, they mean inky blacks. The black level puts other tv's to shame. The contrast, color, depth, and clarity are stellar. The picture just pops out at you, literally. In regards to brightness, no issues what so ever. It is plenty bright. Off axis viewing is also amazing. I know some reviewers experienced burn in, however I'm not worried about it, but I do remain mindful. I also purchased the Best Buy 5 year protection plan. If there was one thing I wish I would have done, it would have been to purchase the 77 incher. LG excellent job....

Exceptional Picture, Bad Out-of-Box Experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second LG OLED TV. I replaced my first LG OLED after finding out the hard way that screen burn-in is alive and well on an OLED if you watch a channel with static logo for too long. Happily, the new LG OLEDs have increased features to combat burn-in. The LG expert at Best Buy was very helpful in pointing out and explaining ways to moderate or avoid burn-in. The picture on the LG OLED TVs is by far the best of any other I reviewed. Setup was a breeze, only around a dozen screws to connect the base to the TV. You *must* have two people to set it up, though. Unfortunately, the TV was DOA when I received it. While I was careful in handling and moving the TV, the TV wouldn't work due to what a Best Buy tech said was a cracked screen. The great news - Best Buy did a no-hassle swap of the defective TV for another TV. The downside was that it took just over a week to get the swap done. All told, I would still buy the same TV from Best Buy even with the initial problem.

Finally a great TV for the PC
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been buying Samsung TV's for years. The last one I bought would not play nice with my PC, so I got an LG C-9. Amazing TV. It has everything I need to get along with Windows 10. The picture quality is fantastic. I now have HDR that actually works, along with a dedicated Dolby Atmos HDMI arc connection. My new LG is all HDMI 2.1 sockets, so it will take advantage of the new standard in the future. And if that wasnt enough, I have Nvidia G-Sync for gaming if I choose to do so. This LG is not only beautiful now and works great, but it will also be this great and possibly even better in the future. I just hope it last and nothing happens out of the blue. You know tech today, Things just creep out of the blue to spoil your life, or you start up first thing in the morning and i wont come on for some reason. I think with this LG, I have a chance to be happy with it. The reviews are great for it everywhere including YouTube.

My own personal cinema
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one incredible TV that I got BF/CM weekend. I got this for the advanced features, Dolby Vision, HDR, etc. It is one of the only TVs that has a variable refresh rate with DV that is compatible with the XB1X. It has not disappointed. Once configured, it is literally like I am watching a movie screen. I have it hooked up to my XB1X, Yamaha, and more. I get Dolby Vision or HDR from Prime shows, and DV from Disney+. The speakers are decent on it, better than other TVs, but I really don't use them. The menu system (LG webOS) is easy to use and the remote is nice. It did take a little while to get used to though. The one problem I have with this TC is the eARC. I cannot get it to work with the Yamaha receiver which seems to be a very common problem. I have given up on trying to get it to work. But, this is really my only issue with the TV so far. I had the Geek Squad install the TV and mount. They were awesome and professional.

True Black = Vibrant Color
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the LG OLED C9 65" TV now for about 1 month and so far completely pleased. I don't think you can find a sharper, more vivid picture with such vibrant color. The secret is the true black. The magic remote makes it so easy to move through the menu. I love my new TV!

Best TV of 2019
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've done so much research on this tv including actually going to best buy and seeing the set in person for myself. And after that I feel i made the right choice in tvs. I'm a big movie buff and gamer and the C9 has me taken care of in both departments. 4K blu Ray's like The Dark Knight, Black Hawk Down and Aquaman are gonna shine on this tv and the hdmi 2.1 connections for faster bandwidth are the icing on the cake regarding gaming. My C9 arrives on the 26th and I feel like a kid on Xmas eve. If you want the best picture available rite now check this tv out in person. I guarantee you'll be impressed.
