Don’t buy this Lemon!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I can give negative stars I would. The tv looked amazing for a month of little use. Then I got a 4” transparent bar the went from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. So I called LG and they sent a guy out to look at it. He brought up a screen (panel) and unscrewed mine and screwed the “new” one on. Now the screen is grainy. I think the “new” one is refurbished, used, an older model or not an Oled period. The 4K content is shotty and the refresh rate is not as sharp or fast moving as the original. I’ve already had LG send 4 people out and LG refuses to fix the issue claiming there is nothing wrong with my tv. I watched new movies that just came out this year, 4K, Dolby vision, doesn’t matter, the dark images are flashing and grainy and the picture quality in regular lit scenes are grainy. It’s really bad. Like I’m really upset with this company and I’d highly recommend going with another brand. Yes the picture quality was amazing at first. I was amazed every time I saw it, for a month. Then all downhill. LG asked me for pictures but pictures can’t show the issue.

Thin screen is not the pros of this TV
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay I get it, the picture quality of LG OLED is top notch but it means nothing when your tv is down in 6 months. I was literally wiping the finger print on the bottom corner of the screen with micro fiber cloth then it cracked. I called the LG service center and they told me it can’t be covered with warranty since it is a physical damage and repair cost will be almost same price as getting a new tv and also said they don’t recommend to wipe it(?) because the panel is weak(?)….haha I know what a joke right? I’m back in the market again to get a new tv right now maybe samsung neo qled only because it looks more durable than LG at this point better quality means nothing if it’s only gonna last 6 months.

Amazing Picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was coming from a HD Panasonic Plasma. I've been holding out since my TV still looked good, but had been on the fence with OLED or LED. After reading the reviews I decided to go with the CX and all I can say is WOW! The picture is absolutely stunning. As soon as I plugged in my Cable Box, PS4, and Xbox 1, the TV automatically named the input. The settings are easy to find, and there is a built in guide if you need help. For the TV itself. One of my concerns was the TV is in a bright room, but I've had no issues with brightness or reflections. The upscale is really good, even standard definition looks amazing. The picture pops and colors are bright and vibrant without being over the top. 4k content is unreal. The picture is so crisp I feel like I am in the movie. There are several pictures modes already built in and each can be adjusted to your liking. Personally I found standard to be great during the day and Filmmaker mode at night. One tip is turn Tru Motion off to avoid the soap opera effect. Gaming is great as well, of course this TV is ready for the new gen systems when they drop later this year, but even current gaming looked stunning. The TV automatically switched to HDR gaming as soon as I turned it on. the level of detail was unreal. Interface was easy to figure out and the remote, which I was hesitant since it seemed simple was really easy to use. The smart features are great. Most of the online services are listed on the main menu that displays at the bottom of the screen. The set up is easy to navigate, and still lets you watch what's on screen. One of the features I've already used a ton, I never thought I needed, was the screen saver mode. If rotates beautiful images of painted pictures and landscapes, with a digital framing that makes it look like a real piece of art. Sound is decent for a TV. Again several options to choice from and overall had some noticeable differences. Pretty good overall sound range. Of course nothing beats having a sound bar, or full surround sound system, but will defiantly give you a great experience without it. Overall this is defiantly the best TV I've ever owned. I am extremely happy with my purchase. On a side note about Best Buy. I had this TV delivered by BB, when I unboxed I found the screen was cracked and would not work. Called BB and they scheduled an exchange as soon as they received this TV is stock. Really happy with Customer service and fixing the issue as soon as they could.

Tl:dr: just buy it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got my feet wet in OLED with the LG B6 about 4 years ago and it was time to upgrade. I loved my B6 but my goodness, this improves on the last gen models in literally every way. 120hz refresh rate, BANGIN' colors and black levels, all the latest standards in HDMI and HDR, a far snappier UI, it's all just perfect. My only annoyance which happened as well with my last TV: getting picture settings to map to ALL inputs is super jank and doesn't work well. The settings you save don't apply to the native TV smart apps. I've done it so much I remember all my settings by heart. So if you're okay with a slightly longer setup experience the first day, you can't go wrong. BURN-IN: no issues whatsoever. I use my TV as a computer monitor for work 8+ hours a day 5 days a week. This means static images, icons, the start menu, open tabs/windows/programs and NO issues. Run the included pixel refresher once in a while and you're fine. I don't run it more than twice a month. Do it when you go to bed at night and that's it. 120HZ: Wasn't that interested in it, but I get it now. If you have a modest PC that can push that many frames, you WILL notice the difference and then wonder why anyone games at a plebian 60fps afterwards. There are far smarter people than me that go into greater depth about this model if you check out reviews on YouTube if you would like to know even more. I'm just a very happy LG customer and recommend this TV whenever I can. You'll love it.

Pricey but it has everything you could ever need
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best TV set I've ever owned and I went in store to compare all TVs my Best Buy had on display and the LG CX blew away all of the Samsung and Sony sets out of the water. LG is known for their OLED and this TV is no exception. It has a a 9.7 ms delay so it is amazing for gaming on PC, PS5, XBSX, etc. It also has a native 120Hz panel and supports HDMI 2.1 for 8K content or 4K 120Hz on next-Gen consoles or PC. The color accuracy is great for the most part, I only had to make some minor adjustments to suit my preferences but using "Game" or "Cinema" mode right out of the box is calibrated just right for games or movies. This TV also features NVidia GSync, FreeSync, and TruMotion, which all help to provide a clear and crisp pictures whether you are watching sports or gaming. The CX also comes with Google Assistant, Alexa, AirPlay, and many pre-installed apps for media consumption right out of the box. The remote is also very useful as it has motion control, making typing and selecting items or letters much more convenient. I recommend purchasing the 65" models and up for a personal theatre. The 55" is smaller than it looks and is best for a wall mount in a garage or bar (where you would be much closer to the screen). The audio quality from the TV is actually much better than I was expecting, and depending on if you are an audiophile or not, you might not need to purchase a sound bar as the TV delivers loud and clear audio with good bass when it comes to playing music. The only downside to this set is that it is quite costly compared to competitors of the same sizes. Only purchase is you find Dolby Vision and OLED a must-have. If you are content with IPS/LED/LCD/QLED panels, I recommend you go for a Samsung Q80T or Q90T as they both provide a great picture, 120Hz, HDMI 2.1, and many other features found in the CX minus the OLED panel and NVidia GSync.

Great picture and recognized all my devices!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture on this tv really is stunning. The true blacks make the colors pop, and 4k really feels like you’re there! I was pleasantly surprised when I was setting this tv up for the first time, and a built in wizard found all of my connected devices - through a single HDMI! A few minutes was all it took and I was done. I’ve had zero issues with this LG, and would buy it again in a heartbeat! Built in apps put everything in one place and make cutting the cord that much easier. UPDATE: I’ve owned this tv for over a month now and I’m still very impressed with the picture quality and the built in apps. The one thing I struggled with was the “wake” feature, which will sense other devices and automatically turn the tv on. This is a great feature, especially if you are running a decent receiver to control your home theater. The issue I was having was actually related to the 4K stick that I was using, but a couple of setting changes and it was fixed! This LG is very intuitive and seems to “want” to work with other devices, which is great for a change! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another LG. Watching movies that we’ve seen many times in the past, is now jaw dropping with the OLED. I was initially concerned about OLEDs suffering from burn in images if you left the screen on, but this LG has that covered. I paused a show and within seconds it began cycling through images and previews. No need to be concerned anymore! If we could sum it up in one word... Outstanding!

Absolutely Stunning Television
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! Just wow!! This tv has blown me away. I was never really into the LG brand but I heard a lot of hype surrounding this TV. I researched and decided to pull the trigger on this make and model. Let's just say from the moment I hand my hand on the box I started getting surprised. The box was way heavier than I activated. Odd. Well, come to find out the tv is SO thin that it has a super heavy base. Understandable. Setting it up was a breeze. Now to the picture. At first, honestly, I wasn't blown away coming from my Sony 4K LED. Did I make a mistake and waste my money? Well, after finally getting everything setup and adjusted how I wanted, the hype sucked me in! This tv looks amazing, especially with 4K content. The deep colors, excellent contrast, detail, and picture depth is just top notch. How about gaming? I recently bought a Xbox Series X and was eager to try it on this model. LG provided HDMI 2.1 for this tv and bragged about it's gaming capabilities. They had ever right to brag. Gaming looks so amazing on this tv. Just blows me away every time I play a game. So overall? I am extremely happy with my decision to purchase this tv, especially at the price point. This is my first OLED experience and I am now understanding the hype. If you're in the OLED market and this is in your price range do. not. hesitate. I promise you this tv will deliver.

Gorgeous. Worth the cost, but handle with care.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gorgeous. Is replacing a defective Samsung Q60T. Q60T does not compare on picture quality. Granted, the CX is double the cost, but its worth the difference if its in your budget. Black levels standout in a staggering way and I think even outperform the plasma tv its replacing (720p Samsung), which was my gold standard for black levels. Overall picture is better than any screen Ive owned. Colors are vibrant and the contrast is amazing. A fireball in a dark scene pops without brightening/greying out the blackness. Shows detail in dark scenes well. Most LEDs Ive had tend to crush dark scenes into a blackened mess. Sound is good for a TV (better than the Q60T) but will eventually be replaced with a soundbar. The bad: not much. Had to switch firetv stick audio to bitstream to avoid servere audio sync issues. TV is on the heavy side and the top half of the screen is VERY thin - thin enough to be concerning when picking up the tv to wall mount it (hold your breath and support it from several places). At first the wall mount was tilted forward too far. I felt like the screen was going to bow under its own weight. Absolutely would not leave it that way. Also no WebOS support for HBO Max...hence the need for the firestick.
