I went to BB looking at TVs. The wife went with me, and she easily pointed to this TV and said this is the one you should get. I showed her the price tag expecting some push back. However, she said it was twice as good, so was okay paying twice the price. The PQ is just fantastic, not sure how to even describe it. The color and contrast just fantastic. The WebOS is also surprisingly good, and has taken the place of my Roku for now. The reasonI say "for now" is the only negative, and that is constantly crashing apps. YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu all crash at least once if not more during a viewing session. I did just reset the TV, and hope that fixes the issue. Now on to sound. I use a 5.1 Onkyo, and don't use much in the way of the TV speakers, but can say that they are fantastic for built in speakers. My parents have this same TV and the built in speakers sound as good as their sound bar. I am also enjoying the built in Bluetooth with my noice canceling headphones. I use on a nightly basis. Add in how the PS5 looks, and can say that I never knew how good a TV could look. It is my first "premium" TV and I have no regrets. If you can save up the coin, I would definitely put this on your short list.

    The Ultimate Gaming TV

Let me be blunt.. this is by far the best TV I have ever owned. As a devotee to Samsung TV’s, I was as bit hesitant moving into the LG realm. Upon purchase and wall installation, I was stunned by how smooth the TV setup process was. Web OS is an outstanding TV operating system and, quite honestly, blows away anything Samsung has offered over the last several years. I purchased this TV for two reason: 1. A future proof TV that has HDMI and several features to enhance my gaming experience for the PS5 and Xbox Series X and 2. Sports binging (Go Browns)!. Upon hooking up my existing PS4 and Xbox One X consoles, the TV was smart enough to automatically select Game Mode. Better yet, the TV shows a notification when a game or video is using HDR or Dolby Vision. This is a nice feature to let you know that you are truly experiencing the best that the video/game has to offer. The latency is the lowest I’ve had with any console on a TV set. The instant response mode is fantastic and makes game response essentially instant. Viewing sports content was also an excellent experience. When my Browns decide to fumble or blow games, I can view this in ultimate clarity! Final verdict.. 10/10 and if you are a gamer or sports enthusiast, this is a MUST PURCHASE! Thank you LG and goodbye Samsung!

Have had this TV for a little under a week, and all I can say is that it is the perfect complement to the launch day PS5 that I was able to purchase a few weeks ago. We had held off on buying a 4K tv until the next gen consoles released, and when I was ready to purchase, I did all the research on which one to buy. All signs pointed to the LG CX as the top of the line, and my eyes tell me that this is the most beautiful picture I have ever seen in a TV. The colors just pop, and the 4K picture quality is incredible! The magic remote was very easy to use, even with this being our first LG tv. I was used to the quality of OLED screens, having had a One Plus 6 phone in my pocket for the past few years. and knew when the time to purchase had arrived, OLED was the only choice for me. Clearly, this TV is priced at a premium, and we were able to buy it at a special Black Friday price, but I must say that the price tag matches the quality in my opinion (I did score it lower from a value perspective, because of the high price, even on sale) This TV makes even standard HD programing look wonderful, and at 4K, is truly a thing of beauty. Looking forward to many years of entertainment enjoyment with this special set! PS5 owners, this is the one!

I bought this to replace my projector in the living room (PowerLight Home Cinema 2045) as I was tired of fighting with ambient light. The picture is phenomenal! The black levels are as if the TV is off and the colors are gorgeous. There is no soap opera effect or strange blur. The thing that is important to note, and this is all (I believe) OLEDs: the screen is glossy, so be mindful of the placement of the TV in relation to glare. The speakers sound great as the base redirects the sound forwards, but I would highly recommend (with any TV) a proper sound system. Getting it to play through my Yamaha receiver was a bit tricky, but that is no fault of the TV. The built in WebOS is leagues faster than my Roku Premiere Plus and supports most every application that I want (note: it does not support HBO Max). I typically stay away from integrated app suites, but this one is way different and I couldn't recommend it enough. The remote is ergonomic and functions as a typical remote (selection with arrow buttons/a scroll wheel) or as a mouse (think almost like a Wiimote). It is an attractive glossy black color and has shortcut features.

Every review I read said nothing about live sports. This is the TV for live TV. Doesn’t matter the sport the picture will be amaze you. I had a 50’ Samsung plasma TV an decided it was time for a upgrade after 9 years. I bought (an a week later returned) a 65’ Samsung Q90T thinking that that was the best possible choice. Its hard to explain to you the brightness that the TV displayed (hurt my eyes at night when trying to relax an watch TV), the “dirty screen effect” (sports always had a orb like silhouette around players), an the fact with the sharpness was turned all the way uP and it was still blurry was highly annoying. I watch nature (NatGeo, Our Planet)an sports predominantly an if you life feeling like your there, the LG CX65 is the choice. Crisp, clear, great color, contrast and sharpness. The video games look amazing on the TV as well, new HDMI 2.0 ports make any system look like a new experience. The blacks are black the colors are beautiful an just a A-1 great overall product. I made the switch an will stay with LG for TV from here on out. Worth the extra money seeing how you don’t a TV but once a decade. Also buy the proper HDMI cable to get full picture from TV. Don’t be cheap if your already spending 2 grand.

Easily, he best tv on the market! Picture quality is amazing. The perfect blacks that Oleds bring to the table, let you into a whole new world of cinema. I use this tv for everything, movies, gaming and even as a Pc monitor. With near perfect pixel refresh rate and imperceivable low latency and deep rich colors with perfect blacks. Coupled with Nvidia G-Sync which allows for variable refresh rate from 40-120hz. Puts the CX above the rest! And easily the tv of the year! Nothing is perfect though! My gripe with tv is the automatic brightness limiter. When I connect this to my pc; especially on white screens such as Amazon. It will randomly choose when bright is to bright and dim the screen. My other gripe is in HDR mode when gaming. Out the box this mode seemed to have lifted blacks(slight grey) in completely dark scenes. Which with an OLED shouldn’t happen. A few tweaks later and it was working as intended. Though spending hours online researching and monkeying with settings to fix it shouldn’t be a thing for a tv at this price point! Hopefully LG can sort this out with a small update! Other than that I love this tv! No regrets!

I recently finished my basement, so I wanted to splurge building my home theater. I opted to go for an OLED simply due the picture quality. I also went with the CX due to its inclusion of HDMI 2.1 and its use with next generation gaming consoles. I picked up the CX on sale. The delivery team was excellent and notified me when they were close for delivery. They were gentle with the TV and delivered it to my door. Setting it up was easy, but it has a plethora of options to fine tune, so it would behoove you to calibrate it for both SDR and HDR sources. Firmware updates seem to roll out frequently, so keep on top of that. I know burn-in is less of an issue nowadays as opposed to earlier models, but I opted for the extended protection warranty just in case; I didn't want to drop this kind of coin without it lasting a long time. Watching 4K content in HDR/Dolby Vision is simply jaw-dropping. The quality exceeds any other 4K TV I've owned. Having true blacks and infinite contrast is a game changer. I know OLED technology is expensive, but definitely worth it for the results.

How can you not love this TV?!! After buying the 65" for the living room and loving it so much, I saw that it came in the 48" size and decided to upgrade our master bedroom TV as well. I know is seems a bit extravagant... and it is, but... the picture quality on the OLED CX sets is just plain stunning and in a league of its own. The black blacks make dark scenes a whole new world. No more halo's and light artifacts bleeding from other objects in dark scenes... just dark and black the way its supposed to be. The contrast and color fidelity of the CX series is remarkable and astounding! And the sound is great as well, which we really appreciate for the 48" CX in the bedroom. (The living room TV is connected into our sound system.) There are lots of other great features, too, like how we have both the TV's hooked into Alexa (on, off, volume, mute, weather, music, etc.), the straightforward WebOS with "ThinQ" and voice control in the remote, and HDMI CEC for integration with our stereo receiver. Best TV I've ever owned... bar none... not even close.

This is a superb TV. The picture quality is exceptional when watching movies and also playing the PS5. However, I did run into some issues when setting it up. The stand for the TV has two parts, one heavy main base and one longer front support that screws into the main part. Whenever I went to get the screws started, the holes didn't really line up very well between the front support and the main base. I had to really force the screws in there and I fear that if I decided to take the base off in the future, the screw thread could be ruined. The bottom part of the TV itself is also very heavy, at least compared to how thin the TV screen is (It's incredibly thin). So if you lay your TV flat on a surface to attach the base, its very very stressful trying to get your TV back upright without potentially messing it up somehow. That being said I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, the quality is just too good. Just be careful setting it up, maybe consider professional help.

After installing and going through the setup, my first impression was “uh-oh, this picture looks dimmer than the 4K LED TV it was replacing and I’m not happy”. I had done a lot of research before buying and noted comments about picture brightness (specifically peak brightness) on OLEDs vs LED/QLED, but it didn’t seem to be much of an issue to any of the reviewers, given the brightness was outweighed by the advantages of OLED, such as black levels and contrast. So, I decided to give the TV a chance and started watching material I was already familiar with, such as movies I had already watched on the LED and video games I had already played using the LED. Well, I very quickly discovered that brightness is not as important as I thought. I thought brightness was what made the TV “pop” and where you get that “wow” feeling. The OLED has redefined what “pop” and “wow” mean to me. The detail is so much better, the colors are more vibrant and the picture is much more crisp and natural. The contrast and black levels do indeed make for a much better picture for me. I find myself thinking “wow”, and being amazed at the picture a lot more on this TV than I had on the LED. I am so glad I gave it a chance and think my first impression about the picture being too dim was simply due to me being so used to a very bright picture. The LED is still in use in another room, and when I watch it now, I’m actually distracted by the brightness. This TV is now my favorite, by far, over all I have owned previously, including my Pioneer Elite plasma that I thought could never be matched. I love watching nature shows such as the “Planet Earth” series and “Our Planet”, and watching them on this TV brings an extra appreciation for the TV. I find myself rewinding a lot to get another look at the fine details such as scales on a snake or scar marks on alligators. It’s just amazing. And using the YouTube app to watch additional 4K HDR nature material has been a great pleasure. Certainly, there’s no lack of content to show off how great this TV is. I also love playing “Red Dead Redemption 2”, which is a gorgeous game already, but playing it on this TV adds another level to the enjoyment. Everything looks so much better and clearer. The low latency in game mode was definitely noticeable, with character movement so much smoother and responsive. It has all the bells and whistles one would expect from a high end TV, but ultimately, for me, it comes down to how much I enjoy watching this TV, which is A LOT!

Simply amazing tv display. Have had the tv a week now and have rewatched several essential viewing experiences. The blacks are so inky. Details are crisp. We’ve seen little details that previously we didn’t notice on our TCL 6 series tv (a great bang for your buck display). Things like the ripples of water in waves that give it an almost 3D/lifelike quality during “Planet Earth”-like programs. Dark scenes retain every detail and can notice small differences. Also the refresh rate has improved other viewing experiences like cartoons and animation in which sometimes with our old tv showed grainy/blur effects during fast motions. My only gripe with the tv is that a few streaming apps are not supported (MLBTV, Qello). But as a tv and picture quality go, I can’t imagine it getting any better. Like moving art photography.

I started researching OLED tvs over a year ago because I didn't know how much longer my 60" Panasonic Plasma would last (it's still going). I decided to get the SONY A8H 65" because they dropped the price $1000 but that was the biggest mistake and piece of junk I've ever had. The Best Buy tv associate recommended the LG OLED over the SONY and I research the LG CX 65" OLED tv and got it upon returning the SONY. Soooo glad I got the LG CX because it is leaps and bounds better than the SONY A8H. The picture and sound are better, the TV Channel/Menu font is way larger and easier to read, the operating system is easy to navigate, you can actually adjust the picture setting manually to get that perfect color/tint/contrast/brightness ratio (although their preset HDR setting is the best!), and the remote controls everything!!! Word of advice, LG makes the best OLED on the market....don't go with anything else!

Finally I get to do a review on the LG OLED CX. Before purchasing this TV for months I’ve read review after review on this television. I finally went out and bought it arguably one of the best investments I’ve ever purchased. The picture is incredible The colors just jump out at you. Easy to use easy to set up. I read up on Burn-In or as much as I possibly. I’m miss careful as I possibly can be I’ve had it for about a month now I make sure I cut the television off when I’m done. I have teenagers to so I hope I can get the point across to them to cut the television off I try to be as careful as I can I also have the protection plan so hopefully all my bases covered. So far so good though this is an incredible television the best picture I’ve ever seen. It is a must half if you could afford it. The only con is it is pricey.

I am very pleased with this TV after about 3 weeks use. I had a Sony OLED that broke (black line across the picture). Thanks to my Best Buy service contract, Best Buy replaced it. I chose to go with this LG model, pretty much the equivalent to the Sony I had. Both TVs use the same LG OLED panels so picture is identical. Both processors do pretty much the same things. Both have about the same connectivity and configuration options. What makes the LG better is the user interface. The LG magic remote linked to the on-screen command interface is much easier to use. The Sony was comparatively more difficult to configure and all my hard configuration work was lost after an update. I had to get Sony help a couple of tines to get connected devices to work right. Sony, media and manufacturing giant, has more apps and add-ons to offer. The Sony's Android operating system is tightly linked to Google and you can do cross-platform things on the Sony linking it to your Google photos and so on. The LG, on the other hand, has Amazon Prime and AppleTV linkage built in, Sony does not. I do have to use my external Apple TV device to access HBOMax. So, I really like the LG. I also liked the Sony. If you are a resident of the Android /Chrome world of Google (I am an Apple guy) then the Sony might be a better choice for you. But the improved remote, better on-screen command structure, and built in interfaces for Prime and AppleTV make the LG a better choice for me. I have always indulged in the purchase of premium TVs. I had several top of the line Sony and Samsung LED TVs. The picture on an OLED is lightyears better. I highly recommend this TV.

The reviews of this TV have been spot on. Jaw dropping picture quality. Caught myself with my mouth literally hanging open just watching the dvd intro screen on Ad Astra. It's all about the color, or lack there of. The black tones it produces are just unbelievable. After the shock of the picture I found myself enjoying something as simple as the remote. It features a built in mouse that works like using the wand on a Nintendo Wii, but much more functional than I ever found theirs. The smart functions on this one with the IQ feature do all the work for you, I've always had to tinker with picture setups to get a look I like or at least feel comfortable with. No time wasted on that. I would 100% recommend this TV to ANYONE. If you're looking for the best quality in 4k aspect then this is it. Perfect for gaming as well.

I do not have it in my possession as of yet but for the time being I do have the exact same tv in a 55 inch version and I absolutely love it!!!!!! I am without a doubt positive the 65 inch version will be just as impressive and bring the same whole new life to all of my gaming and viewing pleasure. The picture of the QLED is out of this world beautiful, unlike anything I've owned before. Like many others have stated a photo of the screen simply won't show the richness of the colors or depth of it's blacks, not adequately that is. It has to be seen first hand to fully understand what everyone is talking about. And like many of the other reviews go on to state the picture settings can use a little tweaking to fully enjoy it for what it's worth. It won't disappoint though.

We have had this TV for a year now. I love it! We upgraded from our 52" LED to this 65" OLED to give ourselves more of a "theatre feel" when watching movies. Saturday night is still Date Night, but with movie theatres closed, we would pick out something to stream and we would shut all the lights, so the only light was coming from the screen. The blacks really are blacker with OLED. The picture quality is fantastic! We did not like the stand that came with the TV because it made it sit very low and the soundbar in front of it then blocked the ability for the remote to have a line of sight to the infrared to turn it on and off. We purchased a Perlesmith stand online, and it was easy to attach and raised it up just enough to work with the soundbar. I do recommend that you use this TV with a soundbar, as the basic sound comes out of the back and is nowhere near as full. The TV was easy to connect to our Wi-Fi to enable streaming from premium services. We have HBO and HBO Max - when we first got this TV, it did not have an app for HBO Max and I used to stream it with my laptop and connect the laptop to the TV via HDMI, but that app was added in a later SW update. Being connected with the Wi-Fe, the TV keeps up with the occasional software update all on its own, so that's one less thing for me to track. It's a beautiful TV!

First of all, I'd like to commend Best Buy on their excellent customer service. I purchased this TV on the second week of its launch. Best Buy had the best deal available with $200 gift card and $200 speaker free with purchase. After 3 weeks, the TV (and warranty) dropped in price. I was able to get a price match on both. It was almost like getting a Black Friday deal on the first month. I'm officially on board with Best Buy for all my home theater needs! Installation / Setup: Quite simple to install and very similar to last year's models. Instruction page isn't very clear though. In case if you get stuck, you can always pull a youtube video. Even a C9 installation video will get you an idea. Once you first boot the TV, you'll be greeted with a whole lot of user agreements to accept. Remember, you don't have to agree to them all unless you're planning on using those specific services. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy agreements are all you need to get started. As for default picture modes and settings, the TV comes with pretty good presets. You won't have to do much on your own. I only had to touch a few things (such as switching all color temps to Warm 1/2 for accuracy). Bottom line is, you will need professional calibration if you want noticeable better results than default. Picture Quality: Absolutely the best it can get today! It's my first time with OLED, so I can't compare it with previous models. I used to be a Samsung supporter, but LG has won me over. It's impossible to go back to anything else now. At the time of this writing, there are only a couple of methods to push this TV to its limits. First, a gaming PC to display native 4K and HDR. Second, a stand alone 4K UHD Blu-ray player with Dolby Vision support. Dolby Vision are they keywords, don't settle for anything less. Currently, Panasonic has the best high-end players. I have a Panasonic DP-UB820 and the picture is simply breathtaking with 4K UHD movies! If you don't have either of them, don't worry. TV comes with a whole lot of apps which can stream 4K and Dolby Vision content (such as Apple TV, Netflix and Disney+). Not as good as physical 4K discs, but still very impressive. Plus very soon, we will have new consoles (PS5 & Xbox Series X) out. This TV has all the bells & whistles to support every new feature of new consoles. Audio Quality: Default TV speakers are quite good, but they really shine once you play something with Dolby Atmos. TV also accepts wired or bluetooth headphones. I find it a useful feature for late night viewing. Advantages over C9 model: You may have heard the news that this TV has a few small downgrades from their last year's C9 model. However, it's still the better purchase for more future-proof features such as Freesync, VRR for 4K 120Hz and superior BFI. As a new TV, it still has another year of firmware support while LG has abandoned C9. Nitpicks (Cons): - No support for Steam Link app. Come on LG, you claim to be catering to gamers, yet it doesn't have an app for the most popular gaming platform. Even Samsung supports it. Everyone should message LG about this. They better not leave it for next year's models. - TV stand is 100% static. Can't rotate the TV. - Frequent disconnects for wireless internet connection. Forced me to switch to wired connection. Overall, there should no hesitations to purchase this TV. If you are concerned about image burn-in, OLEDs today have plenty of protection. There is a good chance you won't witness it before your next upgrade. But if you're planning to use it hardcore and want the peace of mind, Best Buy warranty covers burn-in issues. Get it for 5 years and by the time it expires, MicroLED TVs should become mainstream and affordable.
