Sharp picture and intuitive controls. Color is amazing. Excellent contrast, even in a bright room. Would look best with recessed mount. We did not go with that option and I wish we did.

Purchased LG CX 65” last week and just have to say, this tv is awesome. Being my first OLED tv, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I read reviews and looked up as much info that I could find on it but until you actually see it in person, then you can appreciate the picture quality that this tv offers. My last tv was a Samsung qled 55” and it was a great tv. But you can definitely see the difference in picture quality. I have also hooked up an Xbox one to the tv and it was silky smooth performance with some of the best graphics I have seen from my Xbox before (I can’t wait to see how much better the new series x will look on this tv). I haven’t hooked up my gaming pc to the tv yet so I can’t give an accurate review on that but if it looks this good with the Xbox then the pc should be amazing. This is definitely the tv to get if you’re looking for an excellent gaming/4K movie experience. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I am.

We use this TV to stream, game, and as a monitor; we do not watch regular live TV. For this usage, it really looks amazing. Smart functions are great: Options are easy to navigate, home screen is pretty intuitive. It comes with many streaming apps pre-installed. No access to HBOMAX though (not available on webOS yet). I was pretty loyal to Sony, and was ready to go with the A8H (which is $350 more at the moment) to replace my XBR800 (2015 no HDR), but CR Rates this TV a bit higher so I took a chance. I do not regret the Decision. My PS4 Pro LOVES this thing. Advice to gamers: get good HDMI 2.1 cables for this thing, Your old HDMI cables wont transmit the bandwidth.

I purchased this from Best Buy about a month or so ago. I use it for streaming services like NetFlix, HULU... and also for gaming on the PS4 Pro and XBOX One X. I could go on and on about how good this TV is. There are so many features, such as free OTA channels from LG, pre-calibrated professional viewing modes and the sound is actually pretty good for a TV. Another good thing is that I am all set for gaming when the new consoles come out from Sony and Microsoft, where 4k gaming will be at up to (true) 120Hz which I am really looking forward to. If you are looking to get one of the best looking pictures out there from an OLED panel and you are an avid gamer, this is a great choice of TV. All in all I am very happy with it.

LG 65" CX - Overall Excellent Television

I haven't bought a new tv in over 10 years so I was ready for an upgrade. I did a lot of research on the OLED's which led me to the LG 65" CX. This TV has an amazing picture w/ great features & easy to use Wii like remote. It offers plenty of Streaming Apps. Outstanding for Gaming with its Alpha 9 processor. There are a few cons: Power Cable is not detachable - could cause an issue with where you mount. If you are mounting be sure to account for the wider base on the back. It is very thin an recommend a helping hand for installing the base if you're not mounting. It is definitely top of the line for now & is on the steeper side of pricing. For me it was well worth it and I would recommend buying this tv.

When I went in the store I had a bunch of models picked out I wanted to look at. I told my wife we weren't looking at OLED because they were more than I wanted to spend and I didn't think we would see the difference in picture. Man was I wrong! They had the CX parked next to the Sony LED that I thought would be our winner. As soon as we saw the picture we decided it was well worth the extra cash. It also has 2.1 HDMI with all the bells and whistles for anyone that wants to take advantage of the new consoles which should give it a long life. Watched '2001 a Space Odyssey' 4k remaster and was amazed! The only fault I would give it is the wifi is frustrating. I run a 4k Apple TV so it doesn't mean a lot to me but the TV had a hard time finding its way around the local network. I am an IT Director by trade so I tried various things and ended up having to force the TV onto the 2.4ghz band to get it to work. We are running a top shelf $400 wifi 6 router and the connection is 10 feet away so I am going to leave the burden on the TV. I don't have issues like this with anything else in the house.

There is a reason this unit may seem over-priced. OLED technology is the only one on the market that offers both great resolution and a true black. What’s the big deal with true black? It’s the only way to get good contrast, which in turn is the only way to get a truely vivid picture. Sadly, it’s still really expensive to create OLED screens. Hence the high price of these units. But if you value a vivid, high resolution image, it’s the only way to go. LG has tried to soften the blow by offering a lot of “Smart TV” features such as Netflix and YouTube, but honestly if you can afford this unit you already have them. Get it because it displays the best picture in the industry.

After doing the research, I had decided on a 55" LG OLED CX series TV (great marks on almost all the review sites), to replace my dead 55" Panasonic Plasma. Went into Best Buy to actually see the TV and when my wife asked the size of the model we were viewing, she was told it was the 65" model. That was it, I was upsized both in TV and dollars spent. But as soon as I installed it at home, I was sold! Great, crystal clear, detailed picture. Rich colors, deep blacks. Had to work with the remote and the LG setup but that was pretty easy. The system moves easily from cable TV to streaming services, like Netflix and Amazon Prime. It's not an inexpensive TV but it's definitely one of the best available and worth every dollar!!

I had old XBR 3 Sony which I paid over $3500 in 2006. This time around I wanted to give OLED a try but not spend over 2k. This TV is very nice when watching HDR 4k content on Netflix, Hulu and HBO Max look great. Keep in mind when watching Netflix not everything is in 4k. You will be able to tell the difference when watching HD content. It's ok but nothing special. You will have to adjust the pictures settings depending in the room you will be watching. Playing XBOX in HDR is very nice! I do believe you will enjoy this tv!

I was always afraid to buy a TV that was OLED. The main reason was because of burn in. Best Buy has a great plan that covers burn in, so with that fear out of the way, I decided to take the plunge... Boy, I was missing out for the past years. It's true what they say, once you go OLED you can't go back. My QLED Samsung TV that is in the living room just doesn't look the same anymore. Sure, it's serviceable, but compared to this beauty it's just a TV. This LG OLED is an experience. If you own next gen consoles, there is a reason this is the most highly recommended TV for next gen gaming. It has 4 2.1 HDMI ports and can handle 120Hz at 4K with VRR and Freesync. It's a beast of a TV.

Had this TV just a few days and what a difference. Best picture I've ever seen. The OLED is amazing. Almost got the Samsung QLED but so glad I got the LG. Also bought an LG 32 inch monitor for my PC. Both the TV and Monitor are best picture I've seen. Just incredible. Was watching Sports Center and didn't realize till now Scott Van Pelt has so many freckles. The detail and colors on the LG absolutely the best I've seen. Was looking at the Sony XBR and Samsung QLED and from the reviews I've read and now my own personal experience - hands down LG has the superior picture quality, clarity and overall the winner of the 3 top brands. Great TV on all levels.

LG 65" OLED CX series flat screen

OLED is the premier technology for flat screens today and this set doesn't disappoint as far as picture quality. The blacks are indeed "true black" since the black pixels are not lit (and there is no backlight to bleed through as an LED backlit screen can do). Out of the box, the Contrast setting was dialed up to 100% from the factory. IMO, dial it back to 80% and the electronics will like you for it. My only caveat is the sound system. With such a thin screen, the electrical cabinet is small and provides a very small "acoustic chamber". The result is a sound that is very tin-ny; plan on adding a sound bar to get the most enjoyment out of the set.

I managed to get a PS5 and decided to upgrade from a $600 Samsung UHD. Taking it out of the box you immediately can tell the difference in quality. This is literally the best TV you can buy. You also have 4K 120 FPS support which is future proof. The game mode input lag is next to nothing and really improves your online gaming experience. The built-in apps are excellent and the Dolby Vision is incredible. It even comes with free streaming television through LG. Get a 4K UHD player and a few movies and they will blow you away. You will have 0 buyers remorse after a few days of using this TV. Watch a 4K rainforest video on YouTube and you will be sold.

    Best TV I've ever owned

I would like to start with the negatives of this tv. It's just easier to tell you what I'm not in love with vs all of the things I love about this TV. In no particular order: 1. The Magic Remote - while this may be a positive for some, it's definitely not my thing. I own an LG LED model tv so I'm familiar with the remote but it doesn't make it easier to like. It's overly sensitive (imagine an Apple TV remote that has a cursor) and likes to wake up every time it's bumped or moved. 2. Reflection - It's common knowledge that OLED TVs have issues with picking up reflection, it's just the nature of the beast. However, I can't seem to turn on any light source without it being picked up for someone in the room. I tend to keep our TV room as dark as possible, but on occasion, I need to use my laptop or turn on a lamp to see the remote. The TV can pick that up and reflect it to others in the room. I've raised the height of the TV to around 5ft off the floor and that seems to have helped some. Just be forewarned, the best possible picture quality requires a very dark room. That's about it for the negatives, as for the advantages, I'll just hit my favorites, again in no particular order: 1. HDMI 2.1 and number of ports - There are 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, and while that might not sound impressive, it's a real advantage when you think about streaming devices, game consoles, blu ray players, and the like. And while 2.1 is the newest standard and very few devices will take advantage of that now, it will come to mean something in the next few years. Basically, you are getting a TV that will be relevant for many years to come. 2. Picture quality - Obviously, you are getting the Gold Standard of TV picture with an OLED. LG makes most of the OLED displays used today, so it should be expected that they have one of the best displays. With Dolby Vision, colors really pop and when hooked up to a 4k source like a 4K Apple TV or 4k Blu-Ray player, the picture is almost unreal. It feels like you can reach into the picture and touch objects, truly amazing. 3. Sound Quality - Most modern TVs have fair to poor sound quality and the thinner the TV, the worse the sound. Not so here (or hear) due to the base of the TV, which helps to direct the sound out towards the viewer. I'm not sure how good it sounds if it's wall-mounted, but with the stand, it's as good as it gets. I've hooked up my surround sound, so I don't use it as often, but when I don't want to shake the house at night or need quieter viewing, the sound is really impressive. 4. The LG user interface - While not exactly a selling point, it's pretty easy to make adjustments to picture, sound, and use the streaming apps. The descriptions and settings make it pretty easy to understand what you're adjusting and how it impacts the overall experience. I don't use the streaming apps all that much, as I use Apple TV for my streaming, but my wife and daughter prefer the TVs version for their apps. They are easy to navigate and are very responsive. I hope this was helpful for some of you on the fence shoppers. I purchased mine back in July of 2020, just as they were hitting stores, so I paid handsomely (or foolishly). At its current pricing, it's more in line with what I believe it's worth, around $1900. If you're in the market for a premium tv that will remain a solid experience for years to come, do yourself a favor and give this one a shot.

What can I say. The picture on this TV is simply awesome! The blacks are so black, I had to set it to turn the stand-by light on on the front so I could tell for sure when it was off versus just showing a totally black screen. The colors and brightness of the picture are incredible as well. OLED is the way to go if you want the best picture. And it's so thin! Just make sure you have quality high speed cables rated for 4K@60Hz or 4K@120Hz if you want to watch things from something like a Roku or Apple TV in 4K. Was having issues with 4K shows not displaying until I made sure I had quality cables between the Roku and my Denon receiver and the TV.

You can find glowing technical reviews from the experts online, all of which I read before making the purchase. Not much to add about picture quality, etc., but I can absolutely confirm that the reviews are correct and the CX is excellent. I can also confirm that to really get the full experience you're going to want an Atmos sound system, or something along that line. The internal speakers are fine but they can't match the picture quality. Not a knock on the product, just reality of built in speakers. I'll be getting the Sonos Arc and going from there. The only minor quibble is that the base is very short, meaning the TV does not sit very high off whatever surface you put it on. I have an old Sony soundbar and it blocks a small sliver of the bottom of the screen depending on content viewed. I may end up getting a different stand to raise the TV, or figuring out how to elevate it as is, but be aware this if are not wall mounting and plan to have a soundbar.
