Happy to have moved from QLED to OLED!

BLUF: I bought OLED because I wanted the best picture for my Xbox Series X. This TV delivers pure blacks and vibrant contrasting colors. This is my first OLED TV. I had QLED prior to this purchase because I was concerned about the possibility of burn-in with OLED. However, I found out many QLED screens have something called "dirty screen effect." As it turned out, my QLED did too! So I returned it and so did my second QLED panel! So, I figured I would give OLED a try since QLED isn't the "perfect" competitor to OLED. After many tests, hours of gaming, and the Mandalorian, I can say I am sold on OLED. This isn't a technical review because there are many others out there who have already done that. I am just writing my personal story in case it helps with your decision between QLED and OLED.

The picture quality is amazing with OLED technology. HDMI 2.1 is nice for future proofing. The remote control is good. LGs streaming app selection is not great, but a 4k Roku is cheap, so that is not a big issue for me, the picture quality is worth it.

Picture quality is best in class, and I haven’t seen such deep black levels since we had to deal with the heavier and more expensive plasma screens. For those that want to cut the cord, it’s smart functions make the switch easy as could be.

The picture quality is truly crystal clear and really highlights details of the scenes of the programs we view. The remote is simple and easy to use. The pointer built into the remote is a nice feature which makes easier to navigate the channels.

After doing hours of research, I landed on buying this TV. Definitely no regrets, the picture quality is the best we have ever had. There is no lag when turning it on, and is very app friendly. For the price point, it’s the best deal going.

Probably one of the best tv you can by. Also it is very durable there is a metal wire that goes around the screen so it won’t break I know because I went to go change some wirers under it, stood up really fast smacked my head on it. Cut my self a little bit I was in panic I broke the TV nope the TV broke me lol: Also I moved with the TV and put it in the uhall tv box and it withstand the move. Also paired it with a sound bar so I don’t know how it sounds but pictures 10/10

After doing quite a bit of research and looking at the tv's in the store we decided to step up to the LG OLED 65" tv. The picture quality is amazing with bright and vibrant colors. The only complaint is that the speakers are downward facing and since this is wall mounted, we don't have anything directly below the tv to reflect the sound. Best Buy did recommend that we use a sound bar which we did install. One real nice feature is there are numerous sound options where you can combine the tv speakers with a sound bar or headphones or play each option individually. We found for news and quieter shows we turn the tv speakers down and use just the sound bar but for movies, the tv speakers combined with the sound bar gives a much deeper and richer sound. Overall, we are very satisfied with this tv and highly recommend it.

A true upgrade. Best black levels I've ever viewed. It has changed the way I watch TV. Remote is pretty legit too. Mouse cursor style is precise and easy to use. "Turn screen off" feature is really handy for people who need TV to sleep. Enjoy!

Superb picture and response. Easy and excellent remote controls. Very thin screen with a surprisingly wide viewing angle. Heavier than I expected, so you’ll need two to lift it into place. Super easy to assemble. Fantastic purchase!

So far this TV is great after about a week of use. Gorgeous picture even when playing DVDs! WebOS is awesome....just wish it had HBO max! Lots of neat features with this tv overall. The only issue I’ve had so far is its somewhat awkward design. It’s mostly super thin except the back panel towards the bottom that holds the speakers and ports and then if you use the base it’s even more awkward. Super heavy base with a metal plate that was a little confusing to attach since the instructions were only given in illustrations, and once attached, it makes the tv really heavy and tough to pick up and move. Definitely a two person job....and even then you’re trying to move a huge, heavy AND fragile object without destroying anything! I would definitely recommend paying for set-up (mounted or with base) unless you’re willing to risk it.

Great picture quality. We upgraded our 55” LED Vizio after 5 years and this was a true upgrade. The color definition and clear image is worth the investment. The app functions on the TV make it so that you can access multiple streaming content in one easy home screen without needing an Apple TV or other device. One thing that was intriguing to see outside of the store was the true color tones in different user settings. Having reduced glare is nice because of the material of the tv screen itself. A physical downside is the platform which the TV is mounted on does not leave much room for a sound bar to sit in front and the have the cables pass through to the back easily. Overall very happy with the purchase and looking forward to having many movie nights over the next few years on this tv!

Excellent picture, easy to setup and view. If you are using an older soundbar that is not LG, the TV remote control may not adjust volume unless you program the remote via the Connections. You may need to Google this to find out how to do it.

The best gaming TV I’ve ever owned. Period. This thing is a BEAST! It’s perfect. Literally. I’m still finding new things that it does. LG does consistent firmware updates which actually improve the TV. It even does a pixel refresh on its own. PS5 is on this looks fantastic. Xbox Series X is terrific experience! It makes AAA films like Avengers Endgame and Into the Spiderverse look like whole new movies. The picture is absolutely gorgeous. The picture frame mode is impressive when you have guests or even as a revolving art gallery in your space. There are so many FEATURES!

Phenomenal tv. Love the deep blacks and contrast. Great for gaming and movies. Remote is a bit excessive but still functional. Only other negative is the screen thickness. When/if u have to lift it u feel like it could snap in half at any time.

I've had this TV for about 3 months and literally the only issue is the glare gets pretty bad in a bright room. Also, it doesn't get that bright. But neither of these issues really bother me. I watch a lot of TV and movies and I love how deep the colors are. And there are different settings which will be good for everything from super HD, bright colors for sports, a darker cinematic view. I love it. My bf loves playing games like bloodborne on it. He says the movements are so smooth and responsiveness is awesome. The TV is sleek and EXTREMELY THIN. I have ADHD and I accidently leave it on pause for wayyyyyyy too long, but so far no burn in. But that was why I got the Geek Squad protection, because it covers replacement if the image burns in.

Overall, I love my new LG OLED! The image quality is vibrant and accentuated by the inky blacks. It’s quite noticeable when compared to the 2019 LED in the other room. The tv is built with a pencil thin screen which makes handling a bit precarious. I could see this being an issue if the tv needed to be handled frequently, which isn’t the case for me. The remote’s magic ward pointer feature took a little getting used to, but the family loves it. Excellent gaming machine with lots of tiny features that make everything feel like it works well together. The image is great out of box, but to get the most out of the tv, you may have to do some custom settings, which can be daunting for some. A good internet search will find you really good tips and tricks. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.
