    Burn-in

Let me start this review off by going right at everyone's fear that want to buy an Oled TV but fear the word "Burn in" by stating the history of OLED TVs I've owned. I am a heavy gamer and my tv is on for over 8+ hrs a day between my little one, my wife and then myself gaming at night. I had a C6 that developed burn in after 2 years (roughly 8000 hrs in) gaming heavy and not understanding the whole "burn in effect". My warranty replacement was the C8 and I gamed even longer and harder on this set and had 0 burn in effects. The company has made huge strides in helping almost eliminate this from happening. Can it happen if you leave a static image on screen for hours upon hours, weeks after weeks, months after months? Yes! But knowing this and just in generally speaking, not many people watch the same thing every day for hours on end without mixing it up? It's very rare with these current models because of all the tools LG added to the TV like Screen shift, Screen saver, Logo Luminanve Adjuster and Pixel Refresher. You do not have to worry about burn in with these new sets. First off, the picture quality is top notch. I dont think there is another tv on the market (especially at $2800) that produces this level of on screen beauty. Color accuracy, pure black levels really make the colors pop off the screen, amazing contrast, etc... Anyone who says these tvs dont get bright enough have not sat in front of the tv. Its blinding! The HDR is beautiful! The upscaling is the best this series has ever had to offer. I believe they stressed the new A9 gen 3 chip was heavily focused on improving the upscaling, and you can really see it with this model (especially coming from a C8). The AI Picture and Sound features are huge upgrades and the great thing about them is you get to see a first hand example of their effects in the tv setup options. The AI picture mode really does a great job with human faces. The AI sound mode really helps single out the talking over the loud background sounds. In general it makes the tv so much louder at lower volume settings. Now on to the reason I wanted this TV so bad and what makes this tv the best in the business. It is designed to be a gaming tv. Usually when you think Oled, you are thinking about a high quality 4k movie watching tv. Well now not only is it that, but now it's a top notch gaming tv that easily rivals the best gaming monitors out there. It is fully future proof for the new systems coming. The tv has HDMI 2.1 which the new systems will take advantage of. It has insanely low response times with 4k 120hz BFI (Black Frame Insertion. It comes with built in Nvidia G sync and VRR. The Xbox X currently let's you use VRR and auto low latency on this tv along with 1440P 120 if desired. Graphically it's the best looking tv I've ever gamed on. The HDR lighting is much improved from my C8. I think because this set gets a bit brighter than my C8. It also has Dynamic tone mapping which adds a beautiful little extra brightness to your game picture quality (if you prefer it). And it also has HGIG but as far as I understand, not many games use it currently so I notice the lighting still looks better with Dynamic Tone Mapping alone without the HGIG. Also I notice in faster moving games that I have more control. Like in NHL Hockey 20 and Call of Duty, I can actually feel a difference in what I assume to be the better response time with VRR and Auto low latency checked on. I'm not sure what exactly technology is working here but all I can say is what I physically feel. And it's an improvement from my C8. (More control) I cant imagine how it's only gonna get better as the new systems are improving these areas. I must apologize for all the things I've left out, like the amazing operating system WebOS which is silly smooth and fast controlled by the magic remote (which is like a Wii remote you point and click). Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, HDR 10. All in all, I highly and strongly recommend this tv for anyone looking to upgrade. If you are a movie buff or a gamer, this tv is a no brainers. The best part is it is close to $1000 cheaper than its usual release price. Kudos to LG for getting it out with a great price point. Get this tv and enjoy its beauty! Pictures I post dont do it justice. My camera cannot capture the detail and it add blooming that is not visible on my tv. Black is black!

Amazing picture quality out of the box. Minor tweeking of settings to adjust to you liking makes it even better. I really like the remote and the OS is great and responsive. I'm using a Roku Ultra with it and not the native apps, but I have tried them out and they do work great. It's super thin. Like afraid I'm going to snap it in two thin. The included stand sits the TV about 2 inches off the surface it's sitting on which is ridiculously low. If you are not mounting it to the wall and are using a soundbar under the TV, it will block the TV. I'm going to have to get a tabletop mount stand to lift the TV up from the top of the surface and it's a great solution but should I have to spend $100 on a stand on a $2000 TV so my soundbar doesn't block the bottom of it? No. The stand needs to be a couple inches taller. Burn in was my major concern going with OLED, but these newer sets have settings that can help with reducing your risk. Best Buy's Geek Squad warranty also covers burn in so just get that if it's that much of a concern for you. The picture quality difference coming from a 2019 Vizio Quantum M series to this is night and day. Seeing 4k Dolby Vision on the LG is sort of like seeing HD for the first time back in 2005. Jaw dropping and we'll worth the risk of burn in. I have a Series X and PS5 hooked up to it via eArc and it is absolute craziness playing games on it. Response time is insanely good with no sacrifice to image quality. Auto game mode works so well, it's so nice not to have to manually turn on low latency everytime I play a game. Best TV I've ever owned. It's been my dream TV since I first saw this series years ago and I was finally able to get it and am beyond pleased with it so far. It was between this set and the Vizio P Quantum X for me, about a $600 price swing. If it's within or near your budget and your thinking of saving a few bucks to get a Vizio or something, don't. Spend the extra couple hundred and get this LG OLED. It is so worth it and blows everything else out of the water.

Had been using a Sony Bravia x900e 49" tv for the past year or so but i didnt like the halo effect i would get on a dark image. Decided to upgrade to an OLED and omfg i love this tv. From the look to the images this tv is a beast. Legit two other people in my family have now bought this tv after seeing mine. There's nothing to think about just by it. You will need two people to get it in place though. Screen is thinner than a pencil so an extra hand is a must. You will no regret your purchase you have my word. I honestly regretted the sony the entire time i had it. Send the 2,200 and save yourself an extra tv upgrade. I will not need an upgrade until 8k is were 4k is now. Only suggestion is maybe wait till February for the 2021 line up and the CX should be at least 300-500 dollars cheaper

Phenomenal TV for gaming or watching movies! This TV is the total package and I'm really mad it took me this long to pick up an OLED. I couldn't recommend this TV enough. The only gripe I have is related to the remote controller and the user interface. I'm sure I'll get used to it after a while, I'm just used to Samsung TVs. For gaming on a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, this TV is like a cheat code! It's incredibly responsive and the picture quality is second to none. This is a must own if you have a next gen console and it's totally worth the money as this TV is virtually future proof since it has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and all of the high end software you would want in an upper tier OLED TV with a paper thin display.

THE BEST GAMING TV EVER!!!! (4K DISCS TOO)! WOW. I've had a high end Samsung LED QUHD TV for four years now and after turning this baby on, WOW. You cannot get better than this. I popped in God of War on my PS5 and was blown away. LoTRs in 4k looked amazing too. The blacks are black as night. This TV just disappears in dark scenes and the contrast with brights and colors - WOAH. I waited/searched for 4 months until this TV came back in stock and let me tell you - it was worth the wait. 12/10!

If you want deep blacks and infinite contrast with the best viewing angles than any other TV, This LG CX is a beauty to watch; I’m loving it. Let me add to this; it has 4 hdmi 2.1 ports at 4K 120hz with Freesync and G-sync, Dolby Atmos/Vision and as well HDR, Apple AirPlay and smart commands with Alexa and Google. The LG CX is fully loaded.

More amazing than the reviews. And when people say thin, we’re talking like those cartoon fish that turn sideways and the you can’t see them thin. It is quite sturdy, and my wife and I got it hung without incident. It’s literally an inch or so too big for the space we have and we’ve both plowed into the side of it without damage to the tv. You’re not buying this model for the sound quality so do invest in a sound bar. No idea why reviewers complain about the mouse function on the remote. I find it works great. My only complaint is of the malcontented guy at Best Buy who brought out our tv. He refused to put it in our car because it would be in its side. He told us to rent a truck! We put it in our car ourselves and guess what? It was packaged appropriately to be driven home. I hope he’s found another line of work.

Coming from an LED projector, I was worried about the reduction in projection size (100”) to the TV screen size (65”), but the sharpness, color saturation and HDR contrast more than made up for the reduction. Coming from an LG projector, the interface was familiar and easy to adapt to. If you are an Apple product user, the built Airplay 2 lets you easily project images and sound through the TV. AppleTV+ lets you watch all of your shows and movies in your collection without an attaching anything else. Where it falls short are the missing HBO Max and the network apps for shows (ABC, NBC, Fox, etc). The new programs are there, but not the entertainment programming. Last thing I would mention are to make sure you have help when taking the TV out of the box and pacing it in the home. It is terrifyingly thin and could easily be damaged if mishandled.

Wow...just wow!! I was extremely hesitant to pay this much for a TV. Even after doing lots of research and reading how good this TV is, I was still reluctant to spend the money. I finally decided to do it and it is worth every bit. I had it delivered, set everything up, and was blown away by the quality of the image. The PS5 and Xbox Series X looks great as well as the previous generation. Movies and TV shows look fantastic as well. Just a quick note: the base assembly instructions are taped to the packaging, and not inside the packet with manual and remote. The base is a little confusing without the instructions.

So far, so good. TV is up and running. It is an addition to a tv purchased in 2007 from Best Buy. Picture appears to be as good as the Samsung. (LN46A750R1FXZA) The cost for this TV was a bit less than we paid for the Samsung 14 yrs. ago. Hoping this one lasts as well. We haven't had much opportunity to watch yet. It was purchased to have a second, as well as larger TV, for when we both don't want to watch the same thing. Colors seem a lot brighter. (Seems to me there was a way to tone it down a bit.) It is connected to a receiver and three different DVD players. One player is a VCR combo. We tried a VHS tape. Picture for VHS is passable although not great. Looking forward to watching a movie. Purchase was the result of 6 months of research. Hope all goes well. We use a ROKU so I really can't comment on built in apps. Will explore other features as we go along. Gave it good ratings but don't really know if it is good quality or value. Will update review when I know more.

This is a five star tv, nuff said. Just returned the Vizio P65Q9-H1 QLED, not even a fair comparison at all in turns of excellent upscaling even from sd source is fantastic! That were the quality starts, how well a tv can take a standard resolution source make it clear & sharp is everything, than your blown away from 1080p to 4K easily. Great color, sharpness & side viewing and very good sound from this tv is just a added bonus. The only be negative is it’s expensive, yea unfortunate you’re going to have to pay for quality...

There is no doubt this is the king of TVs in America. To think I was going to get something else! Everything from the ease of use and setup to it literally being ready for PS5 out of the box was phenomenal. LG has really taken a lot of steps to prevent burn in across all content, too.

I’ve had this TV for a few weeks now and let me tell you it is Top of the Line.. I know its an OLED but with technology now a days you shouldn’t be worried about burning out. I’ve owned and family members have other top brands but none come close to LG CX tv. Best color I’ve seen in TV’s, the controller is awesome, can use as a mouse. Playing Video games is next level. Our family really enjoys Movie nights!! Not going back to Samsung or Sony..

The best TV I have ever owned... I'm glad I waited for this to replace my older LG which is still being use at guest room... OLED is game changer... You must get one to see what I'm saying. All my friends are so impressed with the quality and colors... everytime we watch a or play some video games. I must say it was great buy...

I’ve never had a TV larger than 32”. I love my new 65” Smart TV! The two technicians that delivered it, set it up for me. The young man, who sold it to me, took the time to explain what the TV would do, etc. He was very patient with me when my credit card seemed to have “an issue”. But, it all got ironed out. He explained that sometimes credit card companies are cautious about large purchases at Best Buy.

Great TV GREAT PICTURE thin easy to use need two people to set up because the TV is heavier then it looks Playing on PS5 has been great playing on Xbox series X however has had lost Connection about three times since purchase Not a very big deal as I think that is a problem from Xbox and not the TV itself an update should fix it

If you want the most amazing 4K picture on a 65 inch TV - get this LG! You will not be disappointed. It has enough HDMI inputs, supports HDMI ARC and it was as easy to hand on the Sanus wall mount as it could be. (no 65 inch TV is that easy to get up and over a fireplace!) The built in sound system is actually quite good, but not as good as an external system. It is super thin and we love the stored classic art work screen savers that look like framed artwork from the masters. Not cheap compared to 65 inch LEDs, but worth every dollar!

We had an LG plasma prior to the LG OLED 65 inch. It is incredibly sharp. We thought 65 inch would be to big. We got used to it quickly. I’m glad I went with this TV. We have it on the stand. I have owned it for a couple months now. No trouble yet. I put casters on the stand we purchased. Easy to move with them on. The tv is hard to handle due to the fragile screen and size. The magic remote is nice.

Coming from Samsung and Sony this is my first LG tv and wow! All the hype about this tv is true. The best definition and quality by far! The color and contrast on this tv doesn’t compare to any other tv. Also if you’re into gaming the CX is the one to get. It’s highly recommended!

After months of debating to get the CX or wait for the new C1/G1. I couldn’t justify the expense to benefit. And I did. Oh want to wait another few months for a sale. This TV is phenomenal. I sold custom AV for 10 years. This kills every lcd I’ve seen in terms of black level detail.
