g series is great, very clear and bright. I see things in the background I never noticed with my old plasma unit. I have MD in both eyes so I really need to see things bright and this one works great.

100% love this TV, no issues and it was open box - fair. The Best Buy team went through everything, we looked at the product to make sure there were no dings, scratches, etc. The picture quality is amazing, can't wait to see how it will look for Football, but for film and tv, the picture is amazing. Even streaming YouTube. You truly do feel an upscale on lower quantity streams. This very much is a TV I want for a decade, and worth the upfront investment.

Great picture...but don't expect it to be flush.

The picture is excellent. DTSC 3.0 is amazing. For the G3, just to note, it is almost impossible to get it completely flush to the wall. The box that is created inside the plaster wall sticks out maybe 1/8th of an inch. Well, that messes up the flush mount. LG should have been thoughful in designing the rear to account for a small lip. Now...aside from the G3...I do have a little bit of a worry with my purchase of a C3 for my family room about 5 years ago. Some pixels have burned out, and there are light bluish bars across the bottom 1/3 of the screen. I'm going to replace the C3...but I do worry...is this a LG problem?

The Best TV Currently on the Market

This is the best TV I have ever watched. The brightness is more than sufficient for watching anything other than extremely dark scenes in the middle of a fully sunlit room (which I wouldn’t want to do anyway). Granted I’ve never watched a QD OLED from Sony or Samsung but I don’t see how either could be noticeably better than this. The sound sucks but that’s what surround systems are for.

Wonderful tv, very bright and sleek. They now have the g4 and the g5 is coming out in the spring but honestly if you can get this one for $2k or less it’s gonna be a better deal. The upgrades in the new one are really worth it.

    Dolbyvision too dim

Overall the LG G3 gives great picture quality and the TV sound is far better than I had been led to expect (even without a sound bar). However, the HDR DolbyVision settings out of the box are far too dim for a normal family room. Only the “vivid” setting was bright enough initially and this gives a horribly artificial picture. It took several hours of adjusting settings (in “cinema home”) to find a picture that was acceptable and then it was excellent. I purchased a Sony X95L a few months ago for a different room and while the overall picture quality is better on the LG G3, the out of the box settings on the Sony require much less adjustment. Be warned, this LG TV requires some effort to get right but it is worth it.

I'm very impressed with the picture quality and even the sound from the standard speakers. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to set the default picture setting to "Standard". It keep reverting to "Vivid", no matter what I try. It's just too bright and colorful. Also, can't seem to get it to want to start in "Home" screen. All the internet help keeps telling me to select menu settings that are either not there, or don't work! It's a pain having to start it, then wait to get the "no signal found" message, then select "home" on the remote. - THEN - select menu, picture, and "standard" mode.

I love this TV despite having an awful initial experience. My initial purchase had panel and WiFi connectivity issues which was highly Disappointing given the price of the tv. There was a visible white vertical strip that ran from top to bottom on the right hand side of the TV about two days later of use right out of the box. Troubleshooted and called LG but no luck. Exchanged it for a different panel later that week and haven’t had any issue since. Prob just got unlucky with that particular panel. Do still have WiFi connectivity bugs occasionally but otherwise webos is great and picture quality is amazing. I do recommend this tv despite initial bad experience

This is possibly the best television on the market for the price. The attendant that helped me make this selection was very knowledgeable about the product and therefore I felt completely sure that I had made the right decision with this purchase. Once we got it home and up and running we could not possibly be more delighted with the picture quality.

Absolutely incredible picture. The mouting is easy — i just needed one stud to line up with any of the slots on the bracket, and used dry wall screws for the other slot. I used dry wall screws rated for up to 50 lbs each. I centered this TV exactly how i wanted, even though the studs in the wall werent ideal. This is my first OLED and non-budget TV. It’s worth it. I chose this TV over the samsung flagship because of the lg’s higher peak brightness and Dolby Vision support.
