This review is not on the tv, but the “excellent condition” used tv I was suppose to get when I drove an hour and a half to Summerville, sc to pick up the tv. I even chatted with Best Buy rep before going to make sure it was really a “excellent condition” and not a floor model or something like that. When I get there it has no stand, was in bubble wrap AND the controller was missing the back piece. Also had scratches on some parts of the tv I saw. I drove 3hrs total for nothing. Highly disappointed.

LG and Best Buy do not stand behind their products

I will never again purchase an LG product! I will never again shop at Best Buy. We purchased 5 LG OLED G4 TV's for our vacation home from Best Buy and spent more than 14K. The Geek Squad installed the 65" and 83" on Jan. 11, 2025. The same day my husband was injured in a ski accident so we departed. We could not return until after his recovery on March 5. On March 6 we turned on the 65' TV and it was working for about half and hour and then a black screen with a green horizontal line appeared. We googled this and its a known issue with these TV's. Best Buy said it was outside their 30 day warranty period. For LG we had to contact Korea and that was difficult. After about a month they sent someone our to check the TV. The repairman confirmed that the TV was damaged as we said. LG refused to stand behind it and claimed the damage must have been our fault. The TV was installed by Best Buy's Geek Squad and hung on a wall. Aside from using the remote to turn it on, it was untouched. LG and Best Buy do not support their loyal customers and did not even offer to fix it. We are out about $2500 for a TV we watched for half an hour. We have two large LG TV's in our main home and five in our vacation home but LG had NO regard for a loyal customer. I will NEVER again buy from Best Buy or LG.

The 2024 LG G4 OLED TV is a top-tier display that delivers exceptional picture quality with its latest OLED panel and LG’s α11 AI processor. Colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and HDR content looks stunning with Dolby Vision support. The 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag make it an excellent choice for gaming, especially with features like VRR, G-Sync, and FreeSync. The new MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology improves brightness, making it a great upgrade over previous models. WebOS is smooth and intuitive, though the ads in the UI can be a minor annoyance. The slim, gallery-style design is sleek and perfect for wall mounting. Overall, the LG G4 is one of the best OLED TVs in 2024, offering a fantastic viewing experience for movies, gaming, and sports.

Don't buy this LG TV, the screen delaminated before the one year manufacturer warranty is up (09 JUNE 2025) and LG refuses to repair or replace it. TV was always at a room temperature of 78 degrees.

A Masterpiece of Picture Quality – The LG G4 65” OLED Is Simply Stunning I’ve had my fair share of high-end TVs, but the LG G4 OLED takes the crown—hands down. From unboxing to setup, everything about this TV screams premium. The 65-inch size is perfect for a cinematic experience without overwhelming the room, and the ultra-thin design looks sleek and modern, especially wall-mounted. But the real magic? The picture quality. LG’s OLED technology is on another level. The blacks are truly black, colors pop with vibrancy, and the contrast is breathtaking. Watching movies in 4K HDR feels like viewing through a window into another world. Fast-paced scenes in sports and action films stay crystal clear, thanks to the super-fast refresh rate and AI picture processing.

It is a very good tv set with excellent brightness and vivid colors for my living room. I do not think it's picture quality can be improved on the real world watching material that I am interested in: streaming 4k and HD movies from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple, Vudu and 4k DVDs. I appreciate the option to set personal preferences based on offered test pictures. Having said the above, I cannot say I prefer this LG G4 65" set picture quality over my other 4 year old LG A1 55" tv set at all, except for brightness. Further more, I cannot say that it's picture quality is better than of my old Epson 3800 projector. Quite the opposite. Sometimes it does connects to the internet via the Ethernet cable for quite a while, up to the point I was starting to think it is broken. I had to go to setting to manually force the connection. Luckily, I got it for the price of about 40% off as an open box item. I don't think I would be happy with the full price.

Here’s the revised version with a focus on gaming: I recently upgraded to the LG OLED G4 series, and I can honestly say it’s been a game-changer. The picture quality is absolutely stunning. The blacks are so deep, and the colors just pop in a way that makes everything I watch feel more lifelike. Whether it’s a movie in Dolby Vision or just regular TV, everything looks incredible. What really makes this TV stand out for me is how perfect it is for gaming. With HDMI 2.1, G-Sync, and FreeSync support, it delivers ultra-smooth gameplay and low input lag, even for fast-paced games. Playing on this TV feels immersive, with crisp visuals and vibrant colors that make every detail stand out. Plus, the 120Hz refresh rate really shines with next-gen consoles. If you’re a gamer—or just someone who appreciates top-notch picture quality—this TV is absolutely worth it. I couldn’t be happier with my choice! Let me know if you’d like any additional tweaks!

The 65-inch LG G4 OLED TV is an absolute standout when it comes to premium home entertainment. From the moment I turned it on, the picture quality blew me away. The self-lit OLED display delivers deep blacks, stunning contrast, and vibrant colors that make everything — from movies to sports — feel incredibly immersive. The new a11 AI Processor is noticeably fast and smart. It automatically adjusts picture and sound based on what you’re watching, and it handles 4K content flawlessly. Motion is smooth, sharpness is excellent, and Dolby Vision looks fantastic. Whether you’re watching in a bright room or a dark one, the image quality holds up. Design-wise, the G4 is incredibly sleek and minimalist. It’s thin and elegant — definitely a TV that looks high-end on the wall, especially with the included wall-mount-ready design. The built-in sound system is surprisingly good for a flat panel, but pairing it with a soundbar really brings out the full experience. As for smart features, webOS is smooth and intuitive, with access to all major apps. The Magic Remote is easy to use, and voice control through Google Assistant or Alexa works well. The G4 also has excellent gaming features — with HDMI 2.1, low input lag, and VRR — making it a top choice for gamers. The only real downside is the premium price tag, but you’re definitely getting flagship-level performance. Verdict: If you’re looking for one of the best 65-inch TVs available today, with top-tier picture quality, smart features, and a beautiful design, the LG G4 OLED is worth every penny.

    Oh So Bright

I have been a long-time LG OLED TV customer, dating back to the B6. I’ve had multiple A and B-series models, two C-series models, but this is my first time upgrading to the Gallery Series. As a long-time OLED user, one of my biggest gripes with past OLEDs has been max screen brightness in a well-lit room. While the blacks remain inky regardless of the room lighting, near black shadow detail has always been more difficult to distinguish due to the lack of overall screen brightness. Well, with the G4, those issues are a thing of the past. The G4 is actually twice as bright as my C1 from a few years ago! The colors are vibrant as ever and the onboard processor seems to be quite an upgrade when it comes to picture processing. It’s truly stunning even in the more accurate filmmaker, ISF, or Dolby Cinema Home picture modes. I use the G4 primarily with an Apple TV 4K and Sonos Arc Surround setup. As such, I can’t say much about the built-in software or speakers. However, I am so appreciative that the 65” version includes a stand in the box and it’s height adjustable, so my Arc doesn’t block the screen anymore! Very happy with this purchase and glad I caught it on sale for $2799, as the MSRP difference between the C4 and G4 may not be justified by imcreased brightness or thinness alone. This truly is a class-leading TV that may only be challenged or beat by the Sony A95L

This is the T.V. you get if you want the brightest image. Deepest black levels. Decent sound aswell for a T.V. out of the box this T.V. vivid colors and is quite duriable for an oled T.V. with all the connections you would need with multiple HDMI 2.1 . Extremly thin comes with a wall mount to sit flush againts the wall. Also comes with a T.V. stand.

The LG G4 65In is incredible!!! This is my 2 second LG OLED. Previosly I had a LG 65IN B9. To be honest I really had no reason to replace the B9 other than I really wanted the LG flagship model. The B9 was and still is an incredible TV. NOW LG is introducing the G5 with the new panel! You just can't keep up with new elctronics being introduced. I'm very satisfied with the G4. I honestly don't know how you can improve anything over the G4. The human eye reaches a limit as to what it can visually see, and I honestly think the G4 has reached the limit. All of the reviews are saying the brightness and colors are better on newer models but one has to realize that the improvements are only visible to the testing equipment they use to make these claims. The naked eye are unable to process these changes.
