Amazing picture. Love the features. So glad I bought it.

I will start by saying the new tandem 4 stack OLED tech is every bit as good as advertised. Picture quality is great with unbelievably high brightness, I’d argue even brighter than most LED TV’s. Processing is top notch and build quality is phenomenal as well. Only downside is that there is a good macro blocking in low res content and black can crush in dark scenes. Overall, I’d say LG nailed it this year. Anyone looking for a high quality OLED with awesome gaming features and picture quality, just purchase it and be happy for years to come.

Had to get a new TV after my last LG OLED C9 died after almost 6 years, decided to make the jump up to the G series and it’s a substantial difference in quality to make it one of the best TVs I have ever seen.
I mainly watch movies and game on my TV - this TV handles both in spades. It has all the bells and whistles for current gen consoles, including VRR support, 120 fps, and Dolby Vision for gaming on the Series X. The OLED panel is top of class with one of highest nit ratings for how bright the panel can get when using HDR, meaning you will get absolutely gorgeous visuals with high contrast on screen, all with incredible clarity. Response time for gaming is very good with game mode on, and best yet is this TV does not drop visual clarity nearly as much when Game Mode is activated.
It’s an expensive TV but if you are looking for one that is worth every penny, I can’t recommend it enough. It will genuinely make you say “Whoa” when you are checking out 4K content

I bought the LG 65" G5 TV for movie watching & very specifically for fast paced FPS gaming while still being capable of an absolutely stunning 4K picture.
Overall I am very happy with this TV (so far) & would purchase this same TV again.
PRO's:
*High speed gaming is incredible.
*Gaming dashboard is a nice feature.
*Picture is absolutely amazing.
*All HDMI ports are high speed.
*Nice looking TV, very thin
CON's:
*No included owners manual with TV, it has to be downloaded. While a digital version is a nice option, an included hardcopy is preferred.
*The remote is 'minimalist' & very generic for a TV at this level, but does work properly.
*Would not work with my older expensive premium HDMI cables that I was using with my older LG OLED TV, I had to buy all new HDMI cables.

The LG EVO G5 is hands down one of the best TVs I’ve ever owned. From the moment you unbox it, the sleek design and ultra-thin profile exude premium craftsmanship. It mounts nearly flush to the wall, transforming your living room into a modern gallery.
What truly sets the G5 apart is its picture quality. The OLED evo panel delivers breathtaking color, deep inky blacks, and exceptional contrast. Whether you’re watching a movie in Dolby Vision or playing games in 4K HDR, the visuals are incredibly vibrant and lifelike. Even fast-paced scenes are smooth and detailed, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate and LG’s top-tier motion handling.
Gaming on this TV is phenomenal. With HDMI 2.1 support, low input lag, G-SYNC and FreeSync compatibility, it’s a dream setup for next-gen consoles and PC gaming.
WebOS is smarter and snappier than ever, and the Magic Remote makes navigating streaming apps effortless. LG’s AI Picture Pro and sound enhancements are genuinely impressive, often eliminating the need for a separate soundbar in smaller spaces.
Overall, the LG EVO G5 is a premium OLED experience that exceeds expectations in every category—design, performance, and user experience. If you’re on the fence, just go for it. It’s worth every penny.

The LG G5 65” is a game changer for me. I’ve waited a long time to buy an OLED and this is THE one. It’s bright enough for any room and has the black level and shadow detail you need for a theater room. It can do it all. It has a wider color gamut, higher NIT’s more color saturation and the screen uniformity is unmatched. Unlike Samsung, it has Dolby Vision. You can’t beat DV for movies and Netflix. The remote is a letdown and continues to be LG’s proprietary RF style. There’s an HDR bug for gamers causing posterization and banding. it was a problem for Dolby Vision but that’s been patched. The HDR patch is supposedly coming in July. I can’t say enough about this TV for DV format viewing. Equally amazing is HD streamed content. The SDR presentation is the best I’ve see. Big step up here from my 2018 era Sony. It will be tough to leave OLED after this.

I got this to replace my LG E8. It does for the most part live up to the pre-release hype from reviewers. I use it for streaming, 4k UHD blu rays, PS5 and a Nintendo Switch. It greatly improved the picture quality in my Nintendo Switch (with the right settings and NOT game optimizer mode for SDR content). After owning this TV for a couple days, i have zero need or desire to go with a mini led or other type of TV. This sucker is bright and the color volume at bright levels is insane for an OLED. Here’s the two things that really really bother me thou. The new remote is absolutely terrible. I can’t stress that enough. They took buttons off of it that were incredibly useful, like the input button! The software interface is also terrible. It’s cluttered and you have to navigate that mess to change inputs on the TV, because again, the remote doesnt have a button! I almost docked this a star because of how annoying these two things are for the price you pay for this TV. However, when you are watching a movie or gaming, you will not find a better experience elsewhere.

Great TV! Very happy with our purchase of the LG Class G5 Series OLED TV. Sharp picture with great contrast! Sound is fabulous. Geek Squad installation is the best also!

The LG G5 is as good as advertised. I replaced a 10 year old sony led, which at the time, was best in class. This new oled is much brighter, and has better color development. The picture almost looks 3D. Picture is clear and blacks look great. Sound is okay, but would suggest a sound bar or home theater. The only negative I had is I’m. It a dan of the LG magic remote. It works great but doesn’t have a number pad, which for me is aggravating. The remote expects the user to use voice commands to navigate a majority of the functions. It works, but I prefer a physical keypad.
I had the Geek squad install the tv. They did a great job , and were patient as I had a number of questions about how to operate things.

Positives:
The picture quality is fantastic. The internals (processors) added a new dimension to gaming.
Negatives:
The initial set up has very much to be desired. TV's I have bought in the past were very intuitive guiding the user step by step. Basically, I had to Google way too many things in order to set the TV to the desired setting.
Buyers note, this does not come with a table stand only a wall mount. My home set is table stand application. Universal table stands are very expensive and flimsy. I ended up buying the LG stand directly from LG at $100.00. An expense I wasn't happy about. I take the blame on this as the description says One Wall Design. However, my sales associate was aware of my desire for a table stand. An honest mistake on both our parts because I was originally looking at the C4 model (table stand) and upgraded to the C5 model.

Was a little hesitant to make this purchase based on the price point, but man this tv was worth every single penny. The colors are to the point even black and white, every movie looks incredible. My only dislike is the sound not loud enough for my liking but i purchased a LG sound bar system with adoby atoms and i dont want to go to the theater anymore its trully un matched. 10/10

Best OLED and TV on the market! I can from and LG CX OLED that was pushing almost 5 years old which I thought looked amazing already. Comparing it to this though my old TV looks dulls and muddy compared. This is searingly bright to the point that I actually have to turn the brightness down at night sometimes lol. LG knocked it out of the park with this one like they never have befor!

The LG 65” Class G5 Series OLED evo AI 4K UHD Smart TV (2025) is a premium display that sets a new standard for OLED performance, offering breakthrough brightness with its Brightness Booster Max technology, stunning color accuracy, and perfect black levels. Powered by the Alpha 11 AI Gen 2 chip, it delivers ultra-smooth 4K 165Hz gaming with low input lag, plus a redesigned AI-powered webOS interface and a sleek One Wall Design that mounts flush to the wall. It’s ideal for both gamers and home theater enthusiasts, though the lack of DTS support, some minor early software quirks, and a downgraded remote may disappoint a few. Overall, it’s a top-tier TV that combines cutting-edge display tech with smart features, making it one of the best OLEDs of 2025.

It's a great TV and picture with more options and smart features than you can shake a stick at. However, there is no manual that discusses it's many features, which means you learn by trial and error. The screen is also glossy and easily shows the reflections of light sources in the room. Since the TV is is very bright, this is not a problem except in dark scenes where there are a lot of blacks shown. I might have bought the Samsung S95F but for 2 things - This TV and no other OLED that I am aware of is capable of being flush-mounted. Also, given the minor difference in picture quality, I would have likely bought the LG C5 ($600 cheaper) if it was flush mountable. It would be nice if LG in the future would add some kind of anti-reflective coating like the Samsung's. Sound quality is great for a TV, but I have it paired with a soundbar with a subwoofer. All in all, I'm very happy with the TV.

The 3 stars are not for the TV itself...Nothing wrong with the TV I'm sure, however BestBuy and LG really need to be a lot clearer in the product description that the G5 DOES NOT have a stand included with it. It ONLY comes packaged with hardware for a wall mount. I ordered the 65" G5 at the end of October during the early Black Friday deal, got it delivered, was super excited to set it up. Got it out of the box and... no stand. I had to order the stand separately from another retailer and even then it was on backorder from LG. Not even available on LG's website, they were waiting for them to come in as well. So, I carefully repackaged the TV so it wouldn't get damaged while I wait for the stand to come in and THEN get shipped from NY.
Very frustrating that it wasn't really stated that there was no stand included when the TV was purchased.

This tv was replacing a similarly sized tv from a competitor brand that had been nothing but trouble from day one. Set up was incredibly easy, picture quality has blown me away. The deepness of the black is like nothing I've seen before and regardless of any glare in the room, the tv looks great from all angles. I think the ultimate though was when my wife commented on how good the picture looks, as this is something that she generally doesn't pay attention to or comment on.
