This is a review for those who are looking at this TV for mainly gaming. Now I've watched 4K blue-ray movies and regular blue-ray movies on yhis TV and the picture is amazing. To be honest blooming does exist but only on a full black screen will you ever see it. Other then that I've literally had no issues with blooming or dark corners. Now gaming: this is the TV you want if your looking for a solid 65" gaming TV. Definitely bang for your buck. Low lag input and refresh rate has mad my gaming experiences even better. It really is amazing. I honestly think this TV was made just for gamers. I actually use 2.1 HDMI cables for my current gen systems. So when the next gen comes in 2020 you'll be ready. There is lots of settings to choose from to make your experience with this TV even better. Magic remote is so cool. I definitely would recommend this TV to anyone, especially for gaming. I have pictures but due to copyright content my review probably wont make it to the reviews. But definitely give this TV a good look.

I purchased the 65in. The Haloing effect when the screen is black levels up the higher you have the local array dimming setting turned up. Its responsivness in gaming is excellent and the color gamut is more than I could ask for. It took some tinkering with the settings to get the calibration right for the way I like the picture but it has handled all content well except standard 480 up converted content. I bought this over the Samsung for the viewing angle and it has proved to be the right choice for my situation. I am very impressed with this tv for the price and would recommend it over the Samsung Q6 and Q7 series tvs. The remote is a must have feature as well!

I wanted to be wowed. Not there yet but It's growing on me. We upgraded from a 46 inch to 65 inch. Hubs wanted a 55 but it was only $150 less. Went big. Picture is very sharp, at times almost 3Dish Still playing with color options. Sound is good, returned the sound bar, didn't need it. Purchased partly because of the smart remote. Excellent when searching. Everything starts up fast. Major problem- the stand is lousy. Huge wobble and TV tilted to the right a half inch. Purchased a universal stand from the W place online for $22 and solved the issue. Still a wiggle but no more leaning. Really LG, I think you could come up with something more substantial for a 65 inch size. Overall*****nice for the price If it lasts 5 years I'll be happy

Bought the nano to replace a 3 year old Sony that died on me. The LG nano has been a good tv so far. Very good in a bright room and HDR content looks good too, it doesn't get dark like my older Sony did. There are some negatives I have for this panel. First the blooming is very noticeable but for a 1k tv, at time of purchase, that's what you get. Software is what it is with TV's, bloated and sluggish.....so get a ROKU or something else to handle streaming. Tv Ethernet is still slower than current tech. With that said, this is a bright vibrant panel and only at night do you notice the blooming. As far as gaming, it's better than my old Sony and offers I believe 120hz at 4k. Nice panel. If you want better Samsung middle grade LED's and up are better as well as LG's own OLED flagship.

I love this TV.. best money I've ever spent on a TV. Picture is amazing. The blacks are so black.. I know and OLED would be some better with contrast levels and blacks, but I am not disappointed at all with this. The picture is so clear and so sharp, sometimes things I'm watching (and I only watch streamed content, no cable or satellite) are so sharp and so clear it almost has this hyper-real look to it. Makes me think of things that are filmed on videotape, like how soap operas look compared to other things. Just amazing. Looks so good even makes a bad show fun to watch. I have it connected to a sound bar so I can't offer an opinion about how the built in sound is. The apps load and run so much faster than they did on my old TV. I was using PS4 for streaming apps, but I don't any more. Even has some app for free internet TV. Haven't gotten around to exploring all that, but was an unexpected plus. Only major app I see missing is one for CBS streaming service, but other than that it has them all built in. You won't need a Roku or anything like that. Also looks great with video game systems. I have Xbox and PS4 and both look amazing. Is it suitable for hyper-fast response, pro level gaming? Not sure.. I'm not one of those by any stretch, but for what I've played so far (Spider-Man on PS4 and Division 2 and Gears of War on Xbox) everything works fine. No problems whatsoever. The only complaint I would have, and it's more a "wish it had" than a complaint, is some kind of numeric value that would display for the sound level. All there is now is just an image of a "+" or a "-" and I would love to see some sort of numeric range because I usually have it set for one level for watching shows/movies and a different level for gaming. The way it is now I have to just keep pressing the sound up or down and wait to see how it sounds, but if displayed a numeric value that I could associate with whatever I'm watching, then I could change sound levels more quickly. I know.. real first world problem if there ever was one, but LG if you read these reviews.. please consider this in a software update.. couldn't be much to it. Buy this TV.. you will not regret it and you will enjoy it for a long time.

We bought the 65-inch LG NanoCell 9 TV four days ago from Best Buy, and so far we really love it. This was an upgrade to a 55-inch TV we'd had about 5 years, and the size, rich colors, and magic remote are all very obvious enhancements over our old TV. Overall, the unboxing and set up were very straight forward. The one very frustrating thing was that the TV did not fully recognize our cable provider or its cable box (we use Spectrum, previously Time Warner), so we couldn't use the included magic remote for all funcitons. Most noticably, while we could make use of some cable box funcitons like changing channels, we could not bring up the cable channel guide. We spent a long time trying different cabe provider options trying to get it to work, but we could not solve the cable guide program. Then a software update ran on the TV and the next day our provider was a choice and we could bring up the cable guide! Great! The cable guide isn't perfect when using the magic remote. One annoyance is that it always starts with channel 2 instead of the TV's current channel, but at least I have hope that future software updates might fix that. We're still learning some of the TV features, but overall we're very happy with the quality of the TV and the remote. We don't have a sound bar, and I thought that might be our next purchase, but so far I'm pretty satisfied with the TV's built-in sound system. So we're very happy with it, and if I were to do it again, I'd buy the same TV.

The pictures look great, comes with bright and dark room calibrations out of the box or HDR effects if you want to have the non-realistic pop of colors as well using full array local dimming. HDMI 2.1 with HDCP 2.2 on all 4 ports with eARC on port 2 for loss-less audio. This configuration along with the panel is not what other review channels are lobbied to review, I'm surprised its rated low when this should be easily at the top of anyones list with features that no other TV has even in the high end ranges until you hit the 8K TV's that are over $5k

About a month ago I decided to replace the Sony 810C that I bought four years ago. I researched current products on every website I could find, including rtings.com and CNET. After a while I was very confused, having learned a lot more about TV technology than I knew existed. I was able to narrow my search by concentrating on sets that had a center pedestal, since my stand is on.y thirty inches wide. Of the sets remaining, it came down to a choice between this one and the LG B9. After comparing the two units at the store, I decided that the OLED B9 wasn’t bright enough, and bought this unit. That turned out to be an even better choice than I had thought it would we. After setting everything up, I used a Blu-ray version of Prometheus for a test run. I was very impressed. The colors are vivid, the clarity of the images is great, and, contrary to what I expected, the blacks were very deep and uniform. In addition, the stand, which has been described as wobbly, is fine. The set wobbles if you push on it, but why would you do that? By the way, this set was listed as one of the best 65” sets for 2019 on rtings.com, and I concur with that assessment. If you are thinking about buying one of these, hesitate no longer: do it!

Great picture quality and ease of use. Remote has multiple features and have enjoyed it compared to my Samsung remotes. 4K looks great and cause no blur. Have yet to see how it handles gaming conceals. Have had some issues with auto dimming but have been able to correct it thru setting on tv. Over all I am happy with my purchase.

Moving on from an old Panasonic the Best Buy Rep. Cheryl was superb explaining all the new Smart TV jargon! Did not want a stand that has two end sticks holding up a big spring for starts. Looking for an awesome 65" picture. Found it with style in the Series 9 Nano LG! Sharp looking center stand, thin frame and features to enjoy into 2020 The New Roaring 20's! The price dropped in store to $999. saving $300. thus bingo we are in TV Heaven thanks to LG Technology! Again Cheryl at Best Buy South Portland, Maine expertly pointed all the key differences from other brands and allowed me to make the buying decision. OLED may be nice, QLED too, but Nana We are home and enjoying the best TV viewing ever!!!

The look and design of this unit is elegant. With a center base designed for way more than support, it looks good. Better than those awkward legs which also change your stand. Remotes easy and the "magic mouse pointer" has come up in accuracy. This set literally brings ALL video played on it up to near UHD quality, even the older movies. Alas it is a full array and Not an older you do have affects like on an all black screen and a loading symbol or subtitle appears that panel is not as dark. Video games are astounding in color and detail and lag is almost non existent ( with the shooter games I play anyways). This unit has the Atmos sound with it, for what they are these speakers do the job sufficiently. Inputs are abundant EXCEPT for the old analog component hook up s ( the red, green, blue with audio). They're gone! I have the 1st Xbox that I still like to play with 720p resolution that'd be great upgraded but alas you can't hook up yet, unless there's an adapter out there. I've only had this set two weeks but these are my initial thoughts

I've been using the new Nano 9 Series TV for a couple of weeks now and I am very pleased with it. I was replacing a 5 year old 4k, but non-HDR Samsung TV that was OK, but not nearly as good as the newer HDR and Nano Cell/Q TV's. We had recently purchased a 75 inch Nano 8 for another room and were are very pleased with it's picture quality, so we decided to give the Nano 9 a try in 65 inch size. We are very pleased with the picture quality and ease of use. The streaming functions on the TV are very easy to use and work well, unlike earlier smart TV's that we have had. I would recommend this TV to anyone.

Bought this for my daughter ... future proof and compatible with PS5. The colors are fabulous. The software is the best in biz. LG NANO is the right technology at the right price. OLED is certainly deeper and richer but this will do for the next few years....

I love this TV, it was easy to assemble when following the directions that come with the TV. The set up instructions were also very easy to understand. It shows you in a diagram all of the different types of connections that you need for your type of external equipment that you can hook up to this TV. Once i had everything connected I turned the set on and was walked thru all of the set up functions. very easy step by step instructions. Once that was completed I tuned into my favorite shows and was amazed how clear and vibrant the picture was.

Before buying I read a ton of reviews indicating April calibration was recommended. Here's what I did, because initially once set up at home the picture did not look the same as in store. After tinkering with the ton of settings, on a whim I reset all picture settings, set all to standard mode, Power modes on auto, and turned on every possible AI setting on everything, including HDR, Dolby Vision, SDR, everything. Then used the TV for several days. I'm thinking that over a few days the AI learned, because the picture is absolutely beautiful! On HDR the bloom is way better, the only format I observed bloom at all. I seriously recommend this TV, and I was a Sony fan.

I got this TV mainly because it runs 120hz on my ps5. The only game I’ve found that supports 120hz so far is fortnite (not a game I typically play) but it looked amazing when I tested it! HDR is a huge bonus but takes some adjustments to get right. The default settings make the TV way too dark to the point that I thought maybe the tv was bad but after adjustments it looks beautiful. If you can find this tv open box or discounted it’s absolutely worth it. Mine didn’t come with the magic remote (open box display) but it looks awesome and fortunately LG has an app that can replace the remote so overall I’m happy. I guess you can say... Life’s good. Last thing I’ll mention is the Audio IMO sounds great! Maybe it’s just because the last tv I had was older but I don’t see a sound bar being a huge improvement to the audio. I have read others say the opposite though.

I have been a Samsung TV owner for the last 30 years. When our recent 4k upper line Samsung TV developed a fine green line down the side after only a little over a year of ownership I thought it was time to give someone else a try. I first went and bought a Vizio Quantum Color TV which was the most horrible picture I have ever seen. Dull and lifeless no matter how much I played with the settings and trust me I am not new to calibrating TV's. That TV was just a Huge disappointment. We took it back and I almost got another Samsung when I saw the LG NanoCell TV on display which was Gorgeous. I know they set up the TVs in vibrant mode and run their specific demos but I was intrigued by the technology so I go my first LG TV and after setting it up it actually was the first TV that looked amazing out of the box without any adjustments. Crisp and clear and bright with rich, natural colors. I was a believer. Granted it isn't an OLED but it doesn't have the price tag of one either. Besides, We have some gamers in the family and OLED's are know for burn in issues and I didn't want to take that chance. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. Great picture quality across the spectrum and even the old shows in SD look amazingly clear. If I have to come up with a Con it would have to be the built in speakers. But they always suck on TV's especially the thin ones. But I am using a decent Soundbar which works very well with this TV. I highly recommend it and give it 5 Stars.

I have had the LG tv for about a month and I really like it. The picture is stunningly clear and the colors are vibrant. I have noticed a little white light bleeding on very black backgrounds but, not enough to ruin the show I’m watching. The apps and the smart capabilities of this tv are impressive. I can control my Firetv stick and my Apple TV with the LG magic Smart remote that came with the TV. It also controls my sound bar. The LG App Store has many popular TV streaming apps like YouTube TV and Hulu as well as the Amazon Prime Video app. You can also save your favorite YouTube channels to the main screen so you don’t have to go searching for them when YouTube doesn’t send you a notification for the latest video. I think I will need to get another to replace the other tv.

I'm not an expert but I like what I like and Iike quality. I was orginally set on a Samsung - its the only brand of TV I have purchased the last 12 years. However with COVID and supply chain disruptiions I was told the wait for my Samsung was going to be over 3 months. After speaking to my Magnolia rep I decided to give LG a try. I'm happy I did. I like the remote - its easy to use and intuitive. The connections give me all the flexibility I need. The picture is great though it does struggle if there is a lot of sunlight (as do most TV's). The definition is pretty accurate - it shows off the capabilities of my Kaleidescape content. Glad I decided to try something new.
