Customers consistently note the 65" Class NanoCell 85 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV's high definition picture quality and excellent gaming experience. Many are also pleased with its reasonable price and easy setup process. Smarter TV!

I thought I owned a smart tv... until I set up the LG 65” NanoCell. First impression, how easy everything was from getting it out of the box, the top of the box slides right off. The tv is heavy, make sure you have someone to help lift it. I decided to put this on the tv mount I already have, and needed to buy new screws to install it. The instructions tell you the width, but not the length you need. If it had been my husband, he would have known, but I just grabbed all the lengths, the 1” length was perfect. There are 4 HDMI ports, so plenty of room for the TiVo box, Nintendo, Apple TV, and PlayStation! There are even USB ports. So I plugged the tv in, set up was super simple. And it easily connected to my home WiFi network. I figured I’d set my TiVo remote up to control the tv the way I like, such a waste of time! The magic remote that came with the tv is just that.... magic! With no setup on my part at all, the magic tv remote automatically can change the channel, view the guide and even go to my recorded shows. I no longer need the TiVo remote. Okay, just signed into my YouTube app on the tv, all I had to do was open the app in my phone and BAM! Logged into my YouTube account in the tv!!! Seriously, can this tv get any simpler??? One great feature I noticed right away was the movie button on the remote. It is pretty cool and shows you where to buy or rent tons of movies without searching tons of streaming services yourself. The only downside is that it does not show movies available on paid subscriber streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, etc. The tv comes preinstalled with Netflix, Amazon Prime and some other apps. I was able to download Disney+ and plan to see what else I can use. This makes it easier for my younger kids to watch their favorites all with our tv remote. They can even speak what they want to see right into the remote. So far, one downside I have found, when you change a picture setting for example, true motion, you need to apply this to all of the picture modes. This is something that drives my husband insane, he hates the way it looks... it’s funny, I hardly notice and my 5 year old says “it looks like a video game”. So we have to turn it off on every mode, it would be useful for this to be a universal setting. This also has to be reset if you unplug the tv. There are also so many settings.... so many, and finding the ones we are looking for can be annoying. Last night the family and I watched the 1950s era Peter Pan cartoon movie, it looked amazing! I couldn’t believe how clear the pictures were and things seemed to almost jump off of the screen. Another thing that looks fantastic are video games! Even my son said Mario looks almost real. I have to say, my husband had been saying he wanted a larger tv for years, but we have a small place, I thought it would be ridiculous. We went from a 55” to a 65”. There is a small difference in the size that it takes up on the wall, the great thing is the frame on this tv is so thin that I hardly notice the overall size difference and hubby is happy to get a bigger screen. I have had the tv a few weeks now and only just realized we haven’t plugged our Apple Tv in, we don’t need it! There’s an app, all my movies are there, I can watch Apple Tv+ and have one more open HDMI port. Overall thoughts. Great tv, amazing color and everything looks so realistic. Love the magic remote, this tv is easy to use right out of the box no matter how you watch tv. The number of settings is a bit overwhelming, but something that will be gotten used to over time. Will be enjoyed by all members of the family for streaming, live tv and video games.

I am currently writing my review using my LG tv paired with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I was impressed from the very start, unboxing. The television was well packed and protected, removal from the box was easy and well thought out. We mounted the television on the wall it took 2 people but was easy as was hooking up the cables. Setting up everything was very easy with on screen instructions, connection to the internet was quick and easy, watching programs in no time. The picture is amazing, sound quality is great, lots of features. The Magic Remote is a great accessory to have, it allows you to control the TV by using the buttons or pointing at the TV and using the selector wheel, there is also voice control, the hardest part may be deciding which option to use. The remote can also control other devices such as a cable box ,there are many apps installed like Hulu, YouTube , Netflix, and others. LG Channels is installed and is like having your own free cable service. We thoroughly love and enjoy the LG NANO series TV with AI ThinQ and recommend to any one. Update, I really like the magic remote and the app screen. There are so many different apps to choose from and the magic remote makes navigation easy , the more I use it the more I want to use it. After using my tv for a while we are still loving it. I think my favorite feature is the magic remote and how easy it makes navigating the home screen. Just press the home button and all my options appear on screen, I can choose from apps like Netflix, youtube, disney+ and more or I can go to the home dashboard where it is easy to understand the different tv inputs or options. while you are in the home dashboard you can still watch you favorite program. Lots to explore and use , a great experience.

I am really enjoying this TV. I upgraded my living room TV ( a 1080p Tv) to this LG 4k TV and I can truly notice the difference in display and sound. I was watching an anime called ‘Food War’ ( great anime btw) in my old TV and switch to Lg TV mid way and i can see such a big difference in the picture quality. The picture are super clear and sharp. The color are really vibrant. This TV came with a lot of cool feature and smart options. I also loves the home dashboard. I am pleasantly surprised by the remote of this TV as well. Usually the remotes are like an after thought and they are really cluttered and just get the job done. This TV has a magic remote which i can use to point at objects on screen( really useful while watching youtube, netflix content). It also has scroll and voice capability. There is also a dedicated netflix and amazon video button in the remote. It came well packaged to prevent damages during shipping and also super easy to unpack as well. I highly recommend this TV .

Loved the tv until…1 year and 2 months later 5)343 is a huge white line down the middle and white highlights in the corners. I’m told manufacturer warranty is only a year so missed by two months. Ridiculous for nearly $1,200 tv.

LG NANO85UNA Series, 65" its a great TV, the quality of the 4K picture and Dolby Atmos sound its awesome, all the features are great, once you connect to the internet you can watch free LG channels, it is easy to set up and use. This TV have everything you need to play video games not lagging at all, watch movies with a great 4k picture and streaming fast without any problems. ( you can always change the mode settings for Video Games or Movies ) But I love the Video Game mode, makes the movies looks awesome. My favorite thing is the magic remote, the remote has a microphone for speech, that makes it easy to look anything you want, makes it fun and easy to use, also have Netflix, amazon & Hulu shortcuts, just one click away to watch your favorite streaming service. It was easy to set up. The design of the TV is great, slim and light weight, makes my living room look very nice. Highly recommend this great tv to anyone looking for a new television.

Purchased my LG65nano85una; 2020 model; at Best Buy during the Labor Day sale, got a $200 discount. Provides a clear picture with vibrant colors, comes with the tru motion 120mhz refresh rate. The 2 built in speakers are “down firing” and I would suggest that the sound is adequate for most people. Personally, I do like to watch heavy action movies and war movies, so I installed a sound bar along with a sub-woofer for even more realistic sounds. The “magic remote control” is a good item to have, but I’m still trying to master it’s use...Setting up the tv and connecting to the internet was easy...My only concern was, I felt that the supporting legs for this large TV was a bit flimsy, so I decided to wall mount it. If you do choose to wall mount; I highly recommend getting a top quality, heavy duty, full motion bracket which can fit your TV....not all “Universal Mounts” are created equal...suggest you have it mounted professionally or by someone who knows exactly what he’s doing...a faulty install is dangerous....according to the specs, this tv weighs 54 pounds....

I am so in love with this LG NANO85 65" TV, The picture is amazing quality, this is the best TV I have ever own. The sound is amazing, I connected to my surround system and it is better than go to the movies! I love the Magic Remote Control and the voice via Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa in the remote, makes it super easy to use it and fun. This TV is just awesome, I love all the LG free channels! over 180 channels. I love all the options I have in the settings for the picture, you can choose to watch a movie, play video games or sports for a better picture. This TV has enough HDMI to connect all my electronics, so many features on this TV that it is hard to write all of them, but everything you can imagine this TV has it. We received this tv very well packaged, mounted it on the wall and began the setup. The setup was very easy using the on screen instructions. The Magic remote is a joy to use, it makes navigating to what you want very easy. You can point and use the on screen cursor or use the voice control or use it as a regular remote control. The home screen is helpful for managing all tv inputs. I. really love watching programs on my LG, the picture is great I would definitely recommend LG televisions as I have had a wonderful experience and look forward to many more years of viewing pleasure.

I recently replaced my older 55" tv in my living room with a new LG 65" flat screen. My old set was great, but was dated technologically due to being 7 years old. The new LG was quite a bit larger then the old set and I wondered how it was going to fit in the designed space. I was able to use the existing wall mount and incredibly enough hung the tv by myself. It was then time to turn the set on to get everything set up. The initial setup is quite painless and does not take long to get up and running. I scrolled through the options and setup the display which was most favorable to me. I am currently using the OEM speakers and am quite surprised on how good the sound is. On my old set, I would have to put the volume all of the way up in order to get decent sound. With this set, midway volume setup is plenty. I must say I left most of the features at factory settings, which are very well designed. As time will tell, I may tweak some of these as needed. These are very cool variables to have available, such as a sports setting for display and a setting for movies as well. I also went ahead and set up Alexa to listen to music through the tv. It has the option to control my other AI devices, but have not taken the liberty of setting any of these up. The WOW factor came in as I was showing my new set to some friends that came over for the night. I put on a movie from one of my premium channels. The friends were impressed and I was mesmerized. Not sure if the reader has ever experienced this viewing phenomenon, but I felt like I was actually stepping into the screen. Like I was there. The picture is so clean and the detail so sharp that it easily lends itself to the viewing experience. I love it! This is the reason that I buy equipment. To thoroughly enjoy whatever purpose I need. This tv does the trick and then some! Later, I spent some more time checking out some of the other features. They are really cool, but not sure if I will use all of them. It is nice to have these additional capabilities though and I am sure that I will spend more time investigating them in the future. Over all, this tv has been a rewarding experience and I look forward to enjoying it for years to come. If you are on the fence about buying one, I would say jump in with both feet.

Low input lag, 120 hz, but horrible picture

I mainly got this TV for gaming, the main thing I look for is low input lag. This TV does indeed have really low input lag, but the picture quality is atrocious, and it has a lot of issues. A lot of "features" TVs offer anymore I think are really gimmicky, add input lag, and really just make the image look faker too me, so I usually turn it all off and really don't want to pay extra for it. One of the worst of these they've come up with lately is local dimming. I hate local dimming. I think it's a terrible idea. I just want to turn it off, but most TV's anymore don't seem to give you that option. This TV gives you the option, but when you turn it off, you can clearly tell it's still on. I don't know if this is an issue they're going to fix with an update, or if it's intended. I don't know why these companies force this on people. The worst example of this is if you have Battlefield 5, launch it, and when it's loading the game there's a black background with a small loading indicator in the top right corner that goes in a circular pattern. With local dimming on (or with the setting turned off and it clearly still being on) the entire TV does this like strobe effect which is just freaking horrendous. Other TV's at least handle it better. On this TV it is truly horrible, and you can't turn it off Auto Low Latency Mode locks a ton of settings, one of those being local dimming, forcing it on low. But if you manually switch to game mode you can turn it off (although it's not really off). I can understand locking most of the settings, but please give me the illusion of turning off local dimming when game mode is on. And for some reason when ALLM is on I get really bad motion blur, and the picture just has this washed out look to it. There is clearly some major issue with ALLM, and who knows if they will ever actually fix it. It also has some of the worst backlight bleed I've ever seen on a TV. Again, bringing up the Battlefield 5 example, when the loading indicator is spinning in a circle on a black background, not only do you get a strobe effect from the local dimming, but there are like blotches of light in the corners and at random places along the edge of the TV. I can't express just how incredibly terrible this looks. The colors also look very off. Everything has a blue tint to it. TVs in the past usually give you the option for like "warm" or "cool" color, but all this TV has is going into very specific details about color balance, which requires a calibration kit that most people don't have, hence the quick warm/cool settings. It does have 120 hz, and does have low input lag, in those regards it is nice. HDR also seems to work pretty well. And I'm not one to usually care too much about poor picture quality, I mainly just care about responsiveness for gaming, but this TV is so bad that it's just unacceptable. I've tested this on both PS5 and Xbox Series X, and they both have all of the same problems, so it's not specific to either system. Another issue is that if I let either system sit in standby mode for a little while and attempt to turn them on (with HDMI CEC it turns on the TV at the same time) it doesn't detect the signal for some reason, and I have to either unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in, or do a full restart of the system for it to show up. This happens on both consoles, so it's not a problem with either console. I am a huge fan of LG. I really respect what they do with their privacy policy and just in general as a company, and in the past have always been impressed with their products. My last TV was an SK8000 that was awesome, although the input lag was a bit high to me, really regret selling it to get this TV. This TV is a massive disappointment. It's worse than a bottom of the line, super cheap TV for less than half the price, given it's picture quality, but you're essentially paying a lot for HDMI 2.1 (which really only benefits new consoles). If I had known this I would have waited for next year's TV's, HDMI 2.1 may be more common. Maybe there will be more options with less issues. And really, it wouldn't be so bad if they let you actually turn off local dimming and the backlight bleed wasn't so terrible. Going to see if Best Buy will allow me to return it.

I wanted to give myself some time to test movies, gaming, sports games, local OTA TV. APPS - I do like the LG OS that is used. The apps are fairly responsive. Faster than other TV's I've used, but slower than a Roku stick. My favorite part of the interface is the smart remote "pointer". It took a little to get used to, but now I like it. GAMING - I am still using a past gen PS4 but all games looked great with EXTREMELY low input lag. Picture looked awesome! This is where the TV shines! SPORTS - This is subjective. Some people like the high contrast, Clear Picture mode, which this TV does great. And if you like a more "movie effect, with more of a "smoothing" contrast, it does that well also. MOVIES - This is where the TV lacks. If you read other reviews about the bad local dimming, where you see the "flashlight" glaring from the edge of a dark scene, in a low light situation. This occurred when watching Midnight Sky, most of the movie. Just because most of the movie was a dark sky with white snow. For the most part, I am happy with my purchase. The TV is a great value for the price. If I wanted to spend a little extra, I'm sure I would be happier with an OLED. They have great pictures. But this was an excellent upgrade from my 9 year old Samsung.

I love everything about this TV - it's responsive, quick to turn on and off, connects well with everything. The picture quality is amazing on default settings and there are a lot of settings to tweak to get it JUST to your liking. The one thing that may drive you nuts: because the backlight is sectional, the dark colors are REALLY dark especially at night, and the backlight creates some odd behavior at night/darker settings that you'll tune out after 30 seconds - but if you're OCD, it may drive you nuts. Take the AppleTV loading logo. It's bright white, so the backlight has to be on, and it's a section that's about 1/3rd in the middle of the TV, the left 1/3rd and the right 1/3rd will not be on as high, so you can clearly see where the backlight is all the way up and down vertically, instead of sectionally. Once you've been tuned into a show for a bit, you won't notice this... but it was definitely something I hadn't noticed in the store. The alternative is the next model up which each pixel controls its own backlight, basically. All in all, super easy to mount and set up.

Amazing picture quality. Normally you can hear people say I don't see the difference watching something in 4k, but no one says that when watching things on this set. There is no muddy grey in the black areas, when the screen goes black it goes pitch black. The menu system is one of the weaker aspects. It feels as if you have to press too many buttons to get to some commands. The only other issue I have is the app store is a bit lacking, especially when compared to the offerings from Roku or Android tv. But this is a snappy set with really good colors. For the price it can't be beat. Plus the 120 is true 120, so that is a big plus.

Got this on sale for Black Friday. Its definitely a step up from my 5 year old 55" 1080p TV. The picture quality is great and the refresh rate makes most shows and movies much smoother. My only gripe is that in darker movie scenes, there is bleeding white light from the edges of the screen. I've messed around with the settings and can't seem to get it to go away. This leads me to believe that the TV is edge-lit rather than full array as advertised. It's really not that big of a deal, and most people don't notice it that have watched at my house, but I feel like a TV that's $1100 (I bought for $900) should have zero "gripes". All in all I'm still happy with the purchase.

Purchased on Black Friday Sale. Still paid more than many friends did (~$850) since so many 65" TVs were around $500. Reason opted for this one was all the reviews and 120Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution. This was a decision to stay ahead in case we purchase a new XBOX or PS unit in 2021 that has 120Hz 4K output. Like the OS, like the magic remote, like the look and form factor. Only complaint is that the edge backlighting can be seen in really dark scenes but more than acceptable at this price point. Extremely happy so far.

The image on this TV is amazing. The colors are super crisp and the frame rate looks great with movies and video games. My only complaints are 1. The edge lighting when movies do not take up the whole screen you can see the edge of the tv is lighter than it should be and 2. The local dimming.. when the local dimming is turned on and you have white letters on a dark background you can see a wide band of light that stretches down to light the pixels and it looks terrible. When I turn off local dimming it’s much better.

Overall a pretty darn good TV! the picture is bright and vibrant. Amazing for 4k movies and shows. Very easy to use and set up. And when they say smart tv, they mean it! The one and only downside to this tv.... I bought it for gaming. I was playing some very dark (lighting) games. and you would get A LOT of bleed though when there was a light colored object on the screen. You would get a chunk of light, running from the top of the TV to the bottom. As a gamer. This wont work for me. I tired messing with all of the settings. And watched a bunch of videos on youtube to see if I could fix it. Unfortunately, this is just how the TV is. I will be taking it back today.

Purchased this TV after much reading of reviews here... had purchased the Samsung Q60T QLED but that TV was so bad I returned it and purchased this TV... The picture is great if you are watching newer shows and movies on Netflix or Amazon Prime where there is 4K viewing... older shows and movies are horrible to watch especially if you have the close captions working... the white banding makes watching older shows horrendous... if you are not watching the older stuff the picture on this TV is fantastic... The WebOS is good as well and so are the many apps and options that come with the TV... the LG free channels I believe that there are approx 250 channels are good to watch but a full of commercials that makes watching them hard to do. This is a 120hz TV and there is no motion blur that I had found on the Samsung that drove me crazy and this TV works great with my PS5 awesome picture in the gaming sense... I was also thinking of purchasing an LG sound bar however the sound on this TV has been great crisp and clear. I would recommend this TV to a friend as long as you are watching new TV shows and movies.

I purchased this tv after watching several gaming reviews that said it was the best mid-budget gaming TV. Essentially, it’s the best non-OLED TV you can buy for the Playstation 5 or Xbox Series X. I have both new consoles and I wanted 4 inputs with at least 2 inputs having HDMI 2.1 (120fps). This TV was everything I wanted and with a price under $1k. Fully recommend!
