Really nice TV set
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall i love the set. Has a really nice picture quality. The sound is perfect and can be adjusted to multiple setting based on the programming you are watching. Checks all the boxes except for the backlighting. It is really noticeable during nighttime viewing, particularly with dark to black areas on screen. Its just the TV is. OLEDs would be the better option to compensate for this, but they are just too expensive right now.

Small hitch... But...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really really want to give this TV 5 stars. The only reason I don't is that 3 times now I've had to unplug it and plug it back in. I'm hoping that gets fixed in a firmware update. Aside from that, the picture on this TV is absolutely gorgeous. Movies look amazing and my Xbox Series X looks even better at 120Hz. The speed switching between inputs and streaming apps is fantastic. All in all I absolutely love this TV.

Buy it. You won't regret it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hadn't upgrade my TV for at least 8 year. So, as you can imagine, I put a lot of thought when getting a new one this last Black Friday. I compared this one with the OLED available, and believe me, it didn't disappoint. The 120hz is perfect for gaming and action movies. I just wish LG adds the HBO max app soon. Although, I can still use AirPlay 2 to stream from my phone.

Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an upgrade from an older 43 inch that we had for years. The resolution is awesome. The picture is real sharp and crisp. The detail on people’s faces is as if the people are in the same room with you. The flexibility for various connectivity like Apple, Netflix and Amazon were easy to make. The remote is easy to use. Highly recommend this TV.

Propah!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to replace my LG HD 47" after 10 years only due to the fact that it was going dark on start up and dark scenes in movies, such as Batman Begins, The Dark Night, etc... It owed me nothing. After doing a bit of homework (and talking the wife into letting me spend the $$), I knew I wanted something bigger and better. I've always been loyal to LG so based on the size of my living room, I went with the LG-65" NanoCell LED 4k UHD Smart TV. WOW! Just Wow. The picture is so much more than I ever expected. It's so crisp and vibrant. I got this just as Football season started and it's like nothing I've ever experienced. I'm awestruck. The benefit that it's a smart tv allows us to watch Netflix and Disney+ at the tap of a button! I'm noticing things like colors and contrast that I never saw on my old tv. Ordered it for curbside pickup at the BestBuy in Danvers MA (the only store I get my electronics at) and it was ready on time. Set up was a breeze (with the help of wifey due to the size). The only complaint was we had to get a bigger tv stand ahead of time to accommodate the bigger size. I waited 6 months to write this review to see what I was getting into. I don't have one regret with it so far. Thank you BestBuy and thank you to the Danvers Location.

Great picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a 3 yr old 4k Vizio with this LG. The picture is amazing and the blacks are very nice. I don't much care for seeing the backlight as much as it shows but to avoid this OLED would be needed. The "magic" remote is great and the user interface is the best I've personally used on a tv. I would buy another LG after enjoying this current one.

LG 65 Series 85 Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this LG tv a week ago everything seemed okay. Had a few issues game was laggy and back light was in sections so I unfortunately had to return it since it wasnt worth the thousand dollar price tag with those issues since the 2yr old tv I have now doesnt do any of those things I was looking to upgrade the size but will be holding off for now. TV picture was decent in the light but darker screen not so much.

||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv has amazing picture quality. Love the control of the tv. Reminds me of the Nintendo Wii remote control how it used a pointer. Most TVs speakers suck. I have to say this one has decent speakers. Aside fact that not only can I contact a external system via HDMI arc. But I can connect via Bluetooth as well.

Meh. $1200 later and just, "Meh".
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So my Samsung 4k died. Not that old (it was 4k, after all), but it died. I started getting 1-3 vertical lines on the left side of the screen that at first were intermittent, slowly becoming less intermittent and more permanent. Since my warranty ended (literally probably about 1-2 months after the warranty ended these lines started showing up), and the lines were on the far left hand side of the screen, I just put up with them. Well, one day those few little lines decided to procreate and essentially turned my whole entire TV into nothing but vertical stripes. It looked like plaid if after finishing the vertical, you got lazy and didn't do the horizontal. So... I started hunting on the googles to find a new TV. Backlit seemed to be the way to go. I talked with a buddy who just went through all this and did lots of research, and I saw the TV he ended up with. However, that was a Samsung, and since I've now had 2 Samsungs that had problems pretty close to right after the warranty ended, I didn't want to go with them again. So when I was in the store comparing picture (watching a source I'll never have. Why don't they just have 4k blue rays playing?) One of the features of this TV- the backlighting. it was one of the big differences and newer technologies since I bought my last one. And by far, it is the thing that I'm most disappointed in. This particular model uses area backlighting for parts of the screen that are showing something bright. So if you the scene was shot with some light in some areas and dark in others, you end up with sections of the screen light up and others not, but it doesn't blend or anything like that... you end up with patches of light, very clearly obvious where the light area ends and the dark area begins. To say it is distracting is like saying my ex-wife is a bad person. (Since you are probably lucky and don't know her, she isn't just a bad person, she's straight up EVIL!) I thought after a week or so I'd stop noticing the light and dark patchiness, but nope... If it isn't 100 bright, then most likely my eye is twitching from the frustration of noticing the patches. That's one thing. (That's the biggest... kind of). The other big thing. Uh... the picture. LOL It looks great if you are far away. Like "in the kitchen" far away. If sitting on my couch at the normal distance from the TV, everything looks "processed". It just seems like there's artifacts everywhere. I have 4k HDMI cables, tried different cables, different sources, etc. and to me, everything looks overly processed. Oh, and heaven forbid I play something that isn't a 4k source, the processing is worse. Full on worse. So what do I do about this? Well, I went into my local store, with my own 4k Blu-ray movie and asked them to hook up a player to multiple TV's. They really didn't want to do that. LOL But eventually they did. Unless you get to an OLED TV where each pixel is backlit individually, it always looks patchy. Either just around the edges if side backlit, or in wide vertical stripes if backlit in sections. This seems like a not good time to buy a TV. OLED is still double the price. Around $2300 as a starting point for a 65" OLED. Everything else is partially backlit, and therefore ends up making my eye twitch. I almost returned it and picked up the least expensive 65" I could get. But... the colors looked like smeary tie-dye. Other points. Apps are pretty alright, although on any TV today, shouldn't they be? Remote is a cool idea. It sometimes has a cursor on the screen and you push in on the scroll button to click on things. Down sides - 1) the "Sometimes". It is really inconsistent as to when it does or does not show up as a navigation option. Annyoing! 2) Did you notice I mentioned push in on the scroll button to click? Yeah, that isn't the easiest thing to do without making things scroll. And, to make it more fun, the scroll thing you are pushing in on is in the lower quadrant of the remote, so unless your hands are the size of a 5-year old, (insert your own President small hands joke here) your thumb rests nowhere near that scrolly thing. So it is not easy to get used to. Summary- For $1300, I thought I'd really like it. I really did! However... No. I don't feel like it has a better picture than my old TV, and in fact, the new feature of Backlit screens is, in my opinion, too new. Hopefully this one will get me through to when OLED's are down in this price range. I figure my old TV broke 3 years too soon.

Awesome TV w/exeption of remote &Alexa
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd give it a 5, but I hate the remote. Excellent picture.....I saw a lot of complaints about the sound, and how you needed a soundbar which I had already so wasn't worried. I don't get what they are complaining about. I listen to it between 8-15 with just the TV. I've used the soundbar one time since purchasing, and that was for the Super Bowl. I used it in SB+TV sound mode (optical to be exact) and flipped to TV Sound only. There was very little difference. It's an excellent tv for the money. Luckily my Vizio 4K I had bought about 5 years ago started having issues right before Geek Squad protection ended. Hard to believe I got this tv for less than they gave me which was $1020. This tv is at least 5x better in picture and sound......it's just that darn remote, and Alexa yapping at me when I hit the wrong button telling me she has suggestions for me. All of which happen to be Amazon movies that you have to pay for. Shocking. Remote that's backlit would solve this

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just a great TV, the 120 hrz refresh rate is fabulous, just make sure not to have on the gaming mode when watching a movie will cause screen tearing. The cinema mode with the speakers is impressive for not having a sounds bar hooked up. Overall a 4.5 out of 5.0

Love our TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were replacing an old, heavy, CRT TV that we had for more years than I want to admit. I spent a ton of time researching the different brands and models of TVs to find one that fit my needs. I had narrowed it to Samsung or LG. I was looking for one that was not too cheap but not crazy expensive. I also not only wanted a great picture and good sound, but also had features that wouldn't get outdated too quickly. The OLEDs are way too expensive. We decided on the Nano Cell for the better picture and the Edge Lit as it would be in a large open room with lots of natural light. We have not been disappointed in any way. We love everything about this TV. Perfect size, picture and sound. The only thing we are still getting used to is using the remote to change channels. I'm sure it's just us-we haven't had a Smart TV before and it's been a long time since we've bought a new TV. Would definitely buy again!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV looks great right out of the box. Set up was quick and only took about 15 minutes. I think we are still getting used to the picture, as we went from a 12 year old LCD TV. Remote is good but if it was backlit so you can see the buttons in the dark would be awesome.

Affordable 4k 120hz couch gaming option
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it, great value option for 4k 120hz gaming on PC or next gen console. I set it up with a 3090 5950x build and couch gaming has never been better. There is a bit of bleed, but it is also significantly less expensive than other gaming tvs.

Excellent gaming tv
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waiting almost a year to review. This has been and remains a great big screen for gaming. Excellent refresh rate and great picture. I’ve had worse picture and laggy video from so called “gaming monitors.”
