You guys must know that the only reason I bought this TV was a “fabulous” full array technology. And actually it’s probably good, BUT. The build quality is awful for this reason: the glow is penetrating through the corners so freaking intensive, that full array does not have any sense. (See pictures attached). And by the way when full array works it’s really more annoying then just overglowed spotted screen. So the UN 8500 is more smart choice especially for 729$! Second thing is an “amazing” support experience. I texted support via facebook - no response. I called them twice and they gave me a case number CNN200921059476. They tried to send me a message and after a few shots I didn’t receive anything. Then I was offered to send some pictures to them directly as i did. No response till this day. BTW magic remote is super convenient and the processor works well and smooth making ur picture look nice, but during the daytime only.

Good tv but not what I really wanted, I didn't realize it until I watched for a while. Didn't like the pointer in the way on the screen every time I went to do anything, also really wanted a TCL 635 Qled. Much better picture. Had problem with return and delivery truck drivers. Drove into lawn after two days of rain and snow to turn around. Check out Pictures. Plus they didn't tell me they did it

We recently upgraded from a 6 year old 60' television to this new 65' LG Nanocell. We are so happy with our decision! The set up was so easy and the TV was ready to go in just a few minutes. It easily synced to our streaming device and we hooked it up to our internet for the fastest speed possible. The picture is wonderful. The colors are very vibrant with many modes to choose from to truly customize the viewing experience. The sound quality is impeccable. There is no reason to hook up our sound bar to this TV, it's that good. The sound can even be customized to what we are watching. My family watched the new Scoob! movie in cinema mode last Weekend and it was better than watching it at a theater. The magic remote is great and my kids love using it. It's completely interactive and has voice commands. The remote has shortcuts to Netflix and Prime video. It's so easy to point, click, and view my favorite shows. It easy connects with Alexa and I can also mirror my phone screen to view videos on a larger picture. I am so glad we purchased this TV. We cannot wait until we can watch live sports with the incredibly vivid picture.

    Holy Cow!!!

Being an avid movie watcher and having never owned an LG TV before, I wondered if the NanoCell was really as great as it sounded. I mean, the TVs we already have showed a wonderful clear picture and have likeable smart features so how much better could this one be, right? Well, holy cow, Batman! First, I love the slim, simplistic design of the TV itself that gives me more screen than bulky casing. And it comes with enough HDMI and USB ports to leave all of our components and gadgets hooked up. Initial set up was easy so we were actually enjoying the TV in almost no time. The Magic Remote is a huge plus because it made inputting log-in details and selecting options a snap with its computer mouse like pointer and roller ball. The TV executed commands quickly, too. Now, on to the picture quality. I may never be the same again! The images are so clear and sharp that I felt like I could actually be inside the screen or that I only had to stick out my hand to actually touch them. Watching action movies and playing video games are simply out of this world now. I also like that I can sit anywhere in the room and still feel like I’m immersed in the picture. And I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised with the TV’s internal sound quality. I have a sound bar, but don’t really need it too much because the TV’s is often sufficient on its own. Overall, I may have just become LG’s next fan.

This might sound nuts but, I tried the Nano90 55" since the 65" wasn't out. Upgraded to an Oled C9 display model/open box, found several subpixels and dead pixels, so returned for this 65" Nano 90. The Pro's are: 1: Colors are very good, certainly close to Qled at a comparable price point. 2: General reliability should be better than most for this line. 3: Black levels are definitely enhanced and scenes a bit more dynamic with the full array the Nano 90 has. 4: HDMI 2.1 4k 120hz VRR and Freesync (I believe with future updates). 5: One of the best black frame insertions among TV for a clear picture during movement for sports or gaming. 6: With Best Buy Member pricing, I think the TV comes in excellent value wise at $1150 with all the gaming features you could ask for. 7: Definite improvement over the previous generation Nano TVs (SM9000) as far as blooming and contrast. 8: Decent HDR and Dolby Vision performance if you don't care about having an insanely bright tv. Cons 1: Blooming is still present, not as bad as last generation but in a very dark room you will find it reasonably noticeable. If this is your basement TV for movies I would urge you to consider another brand in the price range for a Qled with a VA panel instead of IPS. 2: Contrast without local dimming is terrible. The screen completely turns grey. If you don't like using the dimming if the blooming bothers you it is worth skipping this TV for consideration. 3: HDMI ports are too far inward if you have this mounted close to the wall. Another review mentioned it seemed like an afterthought and it really looks like the case. You have to lean the TV out to reach in there. 4: Brightness isn't terrible nor bad but, it could be better. I thought the Full Array would warrant much more brightness than it offers, not a huge deal for me. 5: Local dimming needs more zones, 32 or 34 zones is just not enough because such large sections light up in some cases. The pixels that need light can be 6 inches away in some cases from the corners yet the whole thing lights up. Conclusion: If you're looking for a gaming feature rich TV, this might be the cheapest 65" option depending on the price at the time of purchase. It checks all of the boxes for next gen. Low input lag too! If you are looking for a TV to watch movies in a dark room this might be the worst TV to consider. It hurts me saying that but the cheapest TV with a VA panel instead of IPS will still probably destroy this TV on contrast. So if you plan to game (or even if not) and you intend to use this TV in a room that is lit most of the time, I think this would make a great choice. It has good colors well above your budget TV range. Since the contrast ratio has been improved on this years model, the pixels can block enough light that you can't notice the blooming with a lit room with local dimming (it only appears bad when the room is dark). In this environment the TV looks great and you would be happy with it at this price point. 4 side notes: This TV just came out and most of the stores got one (literally) in stock. You may be hard pressed to locate one but all the stores in my area (CT) had one. Comparing this to the 55, I feel like the local dimming wasn't as noticeable (completely subjective). This may be true because the dimming zones relative to the size of the TV might have been physically smaller. I thought the 65 would fair with better contrast since the bigger pixels may block light better but, it seems to have no impact. I think this size/price is a better value than the 55". Actually, it is. Its .40 cents an inch cheaper! Mine had a couple stuck subpixels or malfunctioning ones on the side of the TV. They're so tiny and cannot be seen unless you're within a foot of them so its acceptable to me. Just a bummer to find some.

    Best Nano Cell TV

received my 65" LG NANO CELL TV, it was lightweight and easy to install. So where do I start! Home Dashboard makes it quick and easy to access your favorite apps/icons Alexia, Google works with the sound of your voice or use your remote with a press of a button you can watch LG channels for free, Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, Disney+ The remote works like a mouse with a cursor, the only thing is the remote needs a light so you can see what buttons your pressing at night. We had family movie night we watched the Trolls, my family was amazed with the vibrant colors. Movies, games and sports have such a clear picture a life like experience. 4K NanoCell TV gives you the best picture resolution, black lightning dimming gives you best contrast ever, it makes everything spectacular watching movies. TV time is much more enjoyable. With the 7Gen 3 processor, built in speakers that gives surround sound experience. My daughter had game night on her PS4, the action of the game is enhanced, vibrant! quick motion, you feel like your in the game, with no delays best gaming experience ever! I must say if your looking for a new TV the LG NanoCell 4K Smart TV is a must! Every home should have one, you'll never see TV the same.

This is my first 4K TV and as such, I did a lot of research to make sure that this model had all of the modern features. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product. I've never had an LG TV before but find their smart TV interface very intuitive. It's extremely easy to add/navigate your favorite streaming services, the remote is super user friendly, and the picture quality is top notch. I've seen some reviews of this model say that the HDR is not as effective as other models but for a non-OLED TV, I think this is the best you can get, and the price also reflects that. If you have $500 more in your budget, sure, go ahead and by the entry level OLED model (at 55", not 65" based on pricing at the time of this review) to get a better picture, but for the price I think this is one of the best 65" 4K TVs you can buy. Two cons that are worth mentioning. The first is that about a month after I purchased the TV, it went on sale for about $100 cheaper but after two separate attempts to have Best Buy credit me the difference, they were unable to match the price (something about even my original price being a promotion). Obviously I was a bit disappointed/surprised that they couldn't do anything about it (ironically, I was entitled to completely return the TV and reorder at the lower price, I just don't have a car big enough to take a 65" TV back to the store myself). The second con is that if you are not using any traditional cable provider or antennae to get channels, there is no way to make the default input a built in app like YouTube TV. Every time you turn the TV on, it defaults to the actual TV input where there is obviously no signal and surprisingly, I don't think there is a way to change this. The only solution that was remotely helpful was going into the settings and having it stop trying to find channels, which at least prevents the TV from projected static and a blaring white noise. Every time I turn it on, I still have to then manually select what streaming service to launch. It would be great if you could specify that you always want it to open to a specific app.

    Good enough

For me the tv is good enough that I don't feel the need to remove it from the wall but at the same time if it wasn't such a pain to unmount it and pack it up I might have exchanged it for something else. I bought a tv with an IPS panel for the viewing angles. Sadly they aren't that great on this TV. I have to sit directly in front of this one to avoid severe blooming. Much of that can be controlled by setting the backlight to Auto on energy saver and setting the Local Dimming to High. But this results in a dimmer picture. It's certainly not a bad picture but I know it could be better. However I feel like until you get into OLEDs or much more expensive tvs with ultra wide viewing enhancements you're going to be dealing with trade-offs somewhere. Finding a quality tv from a brand I trust with Dolby Vision and HDMI 2.1 has been challenging so far this year. Compared to my old tv it's still an improvement and it gets bright enough for my room. Colors are where the tv really saves itself and gets to good enough. But it lacks the pop in HDR. Actually most times because of the added blooming from HDR I'd almost prefer to not have it switch to HDR and instead watch everything without it. The motion handling is mediocre especially around stationary objects like text. Watching Avatar it was painfully obvious when they would put the translation on the screen. Much of the background between the letter was pixelated and jittery. The very beginning of Avengers Infinity War where the Marvel logo has the rainbow effect pan over it, the tv freaks out and that effect gets weird. Watching anything with stairs also gets confused with the parallel line processing. I found the best option to simply disable all post processing and motion handling options. It seems better that way. I bought this tv for it's gaming features and those don't disappoint. The low response time, 4k120hz, AMD Freesync really rival that of my gaming monitor and I really do enjoy playing games on this tv. Playing some older games that aren't full screen I'll see the backlight dancing in the dark borders on the left and right. This tv really could have used twice as many zones (only 32 on the 65"). Again this is "fixed" by setting the backlight lower or to auto brightness and because of the obviousness of the backlight following the mouse on dark backgrounds I set the local dimming to off, which lowers the contrast ratio a bit but not terribly. My panel has great uniformity and as such is another point for this tvs gaming chops. My last two tvs had very poor uniformity and the dirty screen effect always bothered me. This is probably the biggest reason I'll be keeping this tv. Overall, for the price, this is a solid mid range tv. I'm happy and enjoy it enough that I don't feel the need to exchange it for who knows what other trade offs at this level. It's build seems very solid. Mine has a metal back which was unexpected as most review units have had plastic. The WebOS is pretty fluid. A little on the slower side, especially if you don't close out of apps. But I like WebOS over most other smart tv platforms, the pointer remote is much more useful than I anticipated. The tv has superb connectivity options. It seems to support every way I can think of connecting to it. Airplay, bluetooth, miracast are all onboard. I can cast to it from my Android, I can connect it wirelessly as a display to my laptop, I can connect through airplay with my iPad. It supports Bluetooth audio streaming so I can connect my headphones. The built in speakers are good enough that I use them instead of my 7.1.2 audio setup for most casual viewing and gaming.

I'm not bashing but unfortunately folks want reviews now on TVs. Really doesn't give folks a idea of the whole picture.....all pun intended. I'll review it now and a new model will be out next week so nobody will care in a year how good or bad this TV is. Right now, I really like it. PQ is amazing even with little adjustment. Sports, HDR, live TV and everything else looks much better than my last tv....which is expected and should be. Just a word of warning...AND ANYBODY buying a tv should do this as soon as they get their TV's home and setup, TURN DOWN YOUR BACKLIGHT to 70% or below. If you want your tv to last more than 3 years do it. Don't cry when you don't and you have to buy a new TV every 3 to 5 years. Sad but that's the nature of the business. I wish these sites would contact you after 3 or 4 years and ask you what you think because I guarantee stories wouldn't be so one sided. BTW, HDR on this TV is processed correctly..you can watch HDR content without feeling like you lost half your LED power and just put on sunglasses. HDR content on Netflix and other streaming services look vivid....unlike some of my other TV's brands starting with s ending in Y. Black levels for a NON-oled panel are spectacular. Impressive. I hope the heck LG still uses quality components because I am still impressed with their brand. I still have a LCD from LG that's over 12 years old and it gets used everyday. WEBos is ok....more responsive than my Android based TV's. I'm still not a fan of either but you get what you get. So far, I am satisfied with this TV but hey I have only owned it a few days so there is no way possible of actually using what I have to say and making a valuable informed decision. Nice tv though. Lol

I upgraded my old LG 55” to this new 65” and couldn’t be happier. Build quality is great, the TV feels and looks solid. It was easy to mount on the wall with a very clean back. The right angle plug is a great feature which let me mount it flush with the wall. I’m very happy with the picture quality, blacks look black. The remote is cool and uses their magic remote technology which lets you point the remote at the tv and use it like a mouse. Makes navigating the menus abs typing in network passwords much easier. This is a great TV and I highly recommend it.
