I read some of the reviews on this TV before buying. Some folks weren't happy with the local dimming and the bleed through of the light to other areas of the screen. All I can say is that I've had this tv in my living room for two weeks now and have not experienced any issues with the local dimming. It's exactly what I've come to expect from a high quality LED TV and the contrast is exceptional! The lighting is incredibly well done and I have no concerns or regrets about buying this TV. Further, I think LG has one of the best Smart TV operating systems on the market and it's able to do everything I could need and more. The magic remote is the icing on the cake. Some people may not like the RF based pointer, if so, you can disable it but I find it very intuitive and easy to use. It's also incredibly useful as a programmable remote as I was able to use it to adjust volume on my stereo receiver as well as other media you may want to connect to the tv. If I had to say anything bad about the tv, it would be the speakers. But to be honest, I don't think anyone really expects the sound on tvs of this caliber to be great. It's passable, that's without a doubt. But given this TV is typically something of a living room centerpiece, I would expect most buyers to have a sound bar at the very least or a surround system to pair with the TV: of which it does an exceptional job. Bottom Line - I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a top line LED that doesn't want to pay the extra $500 for an OLED.

My grandson broke our Samsung and I was happy with that but this LG is even more vivid and colors really pop. We watch basketball and we can see the players faces better on the LG. Nintendo Switch gameplay is awesome.
Also, it is easy to navigate apps with wand controller.
So far so good in our ownership of this television.
We bought extended warranty as these new TVs seem more fragile.

I upgraded from a TCL 4 series 55 inch TV. Let me just say that this was a HUGE upgrade. The picture quality is SUPERB. Rewatching movies on this TV felt like I was watching a whole new movie again.
I was amazed to find out that this TV has Freesync, which paired really well with my PS4 Pro. I'm sure that when my PS5 arrive it will shine there too. I really appreciate the great response time, low input lag, and 120Hz features. Remember to get the latest firmware update to get FreeSync support.
The 20 watt built-in speakers sound great by themselves. You don't really need to buy additional sound bar if you have a small room. However, I bought one anyway just to be extra (LG SN9YG-remember to buy an eARC HDMI to ensure the best sound quality).
Overall, this TV is GREAT and makes my bed room a mini movie theater, which all my friends have appreciate so far. I got this on TV on Black Friday sale at $949.99, which was a no brainer.

I love this TV. It is in my living room. I suppose it compare to the Q70 by Samsung. I went with the LG for a few reasons...the IPS screen is great for glare and wide angle viewing. I have large glass sliders in the room that lets in a lot of light. I also bought a very expensive sectional sofa and I want to make sure I get a great picture from every angle. People will tell you that the VA screen used in the Samsung will get better contrast/brighter (it will) but you really need to be sitting in the sweet spot. I'm not missing anything..deep colors, clarity, wide-angle viewing...It was the right TV for my needs. If you have a dark room with little need for wide-angle viewing get the Samsung...I suppose it will work out better. I also have other LG components, so the ThinIQ technology works out for me.
Great TV...if you want to spend money on the OLED...do it. It's the best out there. I spent a lot on re-furnishing my house...so I took a step back on this purchase.
I do experience some shutter with this TV...it's the only drawback that I see.

Love this TV! I was in the market for a TV that would have HDMI 2.1 features for my Xbox Series X and also for whenever I am able to secure a PS5 as well. This TV did not and does not disappoint! While the contrast ratio could be higher It does not take away from the rest of the TV in my opinion. The picture is awesome and I love how it has an app called LG Channels for streaming movies and tv shows. Plus you can download crackle and pluto tv on it also for those looking to cut the cord from Cable TV. As a gaming TV this absolutely shines. It is a good budget TV for gamers wanting a full array LED panel with 120hz refresh rate with VRR and or AMD Freesync Premium. If you get this just know if you turn on Freesync you will not be able to use Dolby Atmos on the Xbox series X. Just turn on the ALLM and it basically does the same thing from what I can tell.

Good TV, pretty terrible full array local dimming but moderately good picture quality. HDMI 2.1 4k@120hz is a nice touch for using as a PC monitor. Wish the stand was in the middle of the TV body. Not super bright for HDR but better than you'd get with an entry range TV. Webos is great. Got it used for less than $900, probably not worth it for full price though.

Greatest tv ever !!! The quality is AMAZING and the apps, set up, Home Screen, etc is so easy to use and navigate through. I love how I can point the control at the tv and use it like a wii control. I don’t have to use the arrows in the remote control. Greatest purchase ever. You will not regret !!

So far, all is great. I have only had it hooked up for 2 weeks now, but so far, I am very pleased with it. It replaced a 60" Samsung 4K TV, that, after 2 years, was developing what I can only describe as "multiple suns" on the screen. It looked as if there were 2, then 3, then 5 suns on the screen, like a Sci-fi movie. The "suns" were on the screen regardless of the show or input.
This TV, so far, has no issues. It was a little difficult to set up the remote to control the Insignia soundbar and DirectTVsatellite units, but after a little tinkering, I use the satellite box's remote which is fine.
The picture is great. Not quite like my LG 77" OLED, but better than the Samsung; the blacks are blacker and the contrast is better.
I do wish the USB, HDMI, etc ports on the back were labelled in contrasting colors from the back of the TV. My eyesight isn't what it was 20 years ago.
I am so far pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to others.
Take into consideration this review is after only 2-3 weeks of connection, though. If anything goes bad, I will update my review.

I purchased the 65" LG NanoCell 90 UHD set to replace the well-worn Samsung 55" HD unit in my den (which is still performing beautifully in my bedroom). For the money, the LG is a really nice television. I think there are better non-OLED sets out there with more "pop" in their picture, but they cost more. This one has all the right bells and whistles in terms of HDR support and won't disappoint, especially in darker rooms. Setup and usability are excellent as well, as is the app integration. So yes, the picture could be a bit brighter, and because of my setup, I would have preferred a center mount stand as opposed to the feet. (I bought a stand separately), but I'm still giving this a 5-star rating because it's an excellent value compared to pricier Sony and Samsung options.

Picture quality is great and the remote control is great to use. Never had any issues. It's true the color is more vivid and darker then Samsung TVs. So, it depends what you are planning to use and what is your preference.

This LED 4k tv has been pretty great so far but it's clunky user interface prevents me from giving it 5 stars. It's a good looking unit and has a great picture. It's got high dynamic range, strong black projection and good motion delivery.

This TV has been awesome! We waited a long time to replace our TV and finally settled on this one. We were unsure if we would like it as much as the QLED that we wanted but the picture is great. (And this was significantly less than a QLED.) 4K videos are crystal clear. The colors are brilliant and not over/under saturated. There are several color preset options to choose from in the TV settings so I recommend playing with those if you're viewing an entire movie but the standard setting is a good setting across the board if you don't want to have to fiddle with it. Also, this might be silly, but I really like the way the remote acts as a mouse if you want it to. It makes it easy to maneuver around.

This TV's really good hands down. If you want to experience something akin to OLED, but not pay OLED price, then look no further. This bad boy gets pretty bright and can hold its own in a fairly bright room. With the support of 240hz and Dolby Vision too? wow you've really got it going on it then. There's other people that care about the "quality" of the tv. Honestly, here's how I see it. Are you moving your tv around from point A to point B? no? then even though this has a daily hard plastic back, there's honestly no problem with it then. The display is the real reason you buy a tv and this has what you want. My personal preference when it comes to customizing the tv is to put in in the "sports" display.

Good TV. Bright, sharp images. Responds well to the remote. Brightness needed to be adjusted for facial tones. Initially facial images were very bright and washed out. After a number of adjustments they are more normal.

I understand people say that this doesn't have true HDR, but aside from that this display is awesome.
UHD movies look so nice and gaming is smooth. I recommend this one for sure if you're looking for something affordable.
I can't review for the tv speakers. I use a sound bar and recommend people do the same, even if it's a lower end.

Have had a number of LG TVs, and this one doesn't disappoint.
Very easy to set up and start watching. You don't really need a professional to do it. Although you do need 2 people to safely lift it!
It has a lot of great features for the more sophisticated users.
Picture is outstanding. We have an OLED TV and the NanoCell technology delivers an almost equal picture for a lot less money if you are on a budget and want a great picture.
Sound quality is good, although we prefer to use a sound-bar as the room is quite large.
Overall - highly recommended.

Only had the TV a short time, about 6 weeks, but so far I have no problems, worked great from day one. The OS updated twice already. The LG - 65" Class NanoCell 90 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV, is just what I needed for my family room. It's the perfect size and I like the fact that it has two separate legs instead of a centered one, which makes it more stable when placing it on furniture. Make sure you have two people handling this TV, or you could damage it. It's fairly simple to set it up. Read the manual first. I have a cable box and it set itself to it automatically.
