    65 LG Oled TV

This TV is great! It is almost 3D in picture quality. We went to buy a lesser quality TV for price restraints. When we got to store an open box unit became available, someone had tried to buy it the night before and could not fit it in their car. With savings for open box and TVs discounts we only had to pay a few hundred more. I am soo glad we did. If you want a picture that is beyond anything on market and great fast sports picture quality go LG Oled!!!

Best picture I have ever seen. However, I do have a few concerns. First, things are so clear and true to life it is like looking out a window. I'm not sure I like it. Movies are not the same. For example, one of my favorite films "The Martian" from the latest HD Blue Ray HDR was so different that it was not as enjoyable... it was like I was there with Mark Watney. You may be thinking "wow", but you need to see what I'm describing. The cinematic feel is gone and I am searching for a way to get it back. I think there is a term for this, but it escapes me. Next is the upscaling, which is amazing. HD channels look 4k, however it seems to struggle at times resulting in choppy motion or initial scenes will very briefly will look lower resolution before the processor catches up. Think momentarily fuzzy then instantly clear. It is making me question buying this set over the faster processing Sony for almost 1k more... I am entertaining an exchange, but this set is future proof where content and delivery will only continue to improve thus eliminating the need to upscale.

My primary purpose for this purchase was gaming, followed by movies. When I game I prefer an immersive and visually stunning experience over a smaller faster "pro player" tv. This tv continues a month on to exceed my expectations. Visually, it is as gorgeous as the input signal will allow and even 1080p looks new again. More importantly it performs with fluid perfection, even with some processing effects turned on. I have yet to see it fail to keep up with whatever content I feed it. No tearing, no rogue pixels due to processing effects and a truly admirable latency for a tv of this size. The only con I have found is a personal one, it's so thin and has no bezel around the screen that it's nerve wracking to move or mount up. Definitely a 2 person lift, not due to weight, but rather due to risk of bending the screen. Aside from the base with the hardware in it, most of the screen depth is only 1/4 to 1/3 the width of my thumb.

Well, I have never seen such a beautiful television image. This OLED has got to be the best-yet, at least in my experience. Unbelievable picture, clarity, black edges, brilliant color. User interface is leading edge technology, e.g. mouse based selection on-screen user interface. Raises the bar from "smart TV" to brilliant. So many selectable features!

I purchased the "LG - 65 inch Class (64.5" Diag.) - OLED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range" (the C7 model) because after much review and contemplation I felt that it had the best picture quality over the other brands. I had the opportunity to talk to the Best Buy sales associate and the LG representative at the same time. The OLED technology is fantastic. It runs a bit warmer than my previous LED TV, but the picture quality is outstanding. 4K movies and games look awesome on it as well as cable TV. There are a lot of settings to play with so you can tune the TV to your liking or mode. I did purchase the 5-year extended warranty and had it installed. It's been two months now running for long periods each day and I have not had one problem with it. I also purchased the Geek Squad picture tuning service where they come out after 100 hours of use and verify that the picture quality is the best that it can be. OLED is an outstanding picture technology.

I'm been playing with this TV for more than a week and I'm still discovering new things that I can do. For instance, you can browse the internet and do most anything that you can do with a PC's internet. The picture quality is impeccable. I'm not speaking as an expert on OLED technology but as an average consumer. One thing that swayed me in my purchase of this TV is the fact that the picture quality is the same in all their models for 2017 and this one was in my price range. The features are more than I had imagined. I'll leave you with this suggestion: Check out the apps that come with this model. Too many to list.

After purchasing ths TV, was amazed on the picture quality. The picture quality is amazing. Unbelievable black levels and color causes everything to pop. Standard definition is upscaled and 4k is mind blowing. No signs of burn in or image retention. Unfortunately I had to exchange it for a 55” because it was too big for my family room.

Cinematically Fantastic - Software is horrible

The picture is fantastic, there is no debating that topic. It is miles above my Samsung KS8000. The issues arise in the software. There is a known issue between Denon and Marantz receivers. They will not handshake correctly, so HDMI-CEC does not work, and it will not accept audio or video from the receiver, or output audio to it. If you have Denon or Marantz, be prepared to possibly have to purchase a new receiver to be able to use the new TV. There are also advertisements on the side of the home screen. Mine currently flips between an ad for the movie "IT" and "watch basketball for less." To get rid of these ads, you have to accept a EULA that states LG will keep track of the name of the content you watch, when you watch it, what source it was from, how long it was watched for, if you paused or stopped the content for any length of time. The EULA then goes on to inform you that your watching data will be used for ad targeting through LG's services, and that it will be sold to 3rd party companies, and those companies may share viewing information with others. If you are someone who does not care about your privacy online, it is a great set. If you are like me, and limit who collects what information on you, this is probably not the television for you.

We went with the smaller bezel model and I'm glad. The picture so far is very good for TV shows and movies. We just picked up the xbox for streaming 4k shows from Netflix, so far so good. Have not played a game yet, still downloading the included Assassins Creed. I was a bit nervous about the possibility of burn in but the associates assured me it wouldn't be a problem.

This is a great TV. Having reviewed and watched numerous TV's, none stood out like this one. This was the only one that could match my ZT60 for black levels. I opted for this model over the other E & G series, as they use the same OLED panels, just step up to better sound on the higher end units.

I have watched the set a few time using various sources and I will say that this has to be the best TV that I have seen. The picture is clear and the details are crisp. In a dark room the picture really jumps to life. The Oled price is steep compared to other units but I will say the set exceeded expectations after installation.

I’ve been a Samsung guy for a while but when I got their QLED home I was disappointed. I went and exchanged it for the LG OLED. Man what a difference! Ultra clear picture from all angles, unlike LED tv’s. Great sound. I purchased a Samsung 9500 4k Blu Ray player along with Carbon audioquest HDMI cables and man this thing looks great. I highly recommend this. I still can’t believe how thin the screen is.

The picture quality is as advertised...fantastic! Placed on wall and paid for extra attachment for sound bar. Also had geek squad install attachment to hide wiring and am impressed with their workmanship. You can read far more detail from more qualified individuals regarding specifics of picture and sound quality. I just wanted to add that we've had a problem with lip syncing and though there are ways to address this issue with LG's auto sync process, the problem remains. I've tried a variety of adjustments such as turning off Dolby atmos etc but nothing works consistently. It's worse on certain channels, doesn't appear at all on others, and barely noticeable while viewing movies and most apps. Nevertheless, still rate the overall product 5 stars.

I drove two hours, only hours prior to a new GoT episode, to purchase this TV to replace a 5yr old 60" Panasonic Plasma TV, and I have been exceptionally impressed with the TV. Its nearly non-existent bevels allowed the TV to fit in the place of my older smaller TV and it's lighter weight and lower power drawl makes for a significant upgrade from my previous TV. The 4K/HDR with the higher brightness than the previous year models makes a noticeable difference. Getting the colors dialed in took some work, research, and moderate technical know-how, but now the picture is so incredible that it was worth the work. No issues as of yet, even the LGwebOS has a good number of fully functional apps, but I prefer to use my PS4 and Roku Ultra instead for the full variety of apps and the long-term continual updates and support on those platforms. The price is steep of course, but if you want the best, and you appreciate the importance of real blacks (former plasma-aficionado), then this TV is made for you. Buy on your credit card and keep an eye out for sales so you get money back if the card offers Purchase Price Guarantees, trust me ;).

I feel like this review could help a lot of people out with deciding whether or not to get this tv, I just wish I would've posted this before Black Friday. I recently had a 55inch LGB6 that I bought last year on Black Friday and it was amazing picture quality, my first 4K tv blew me away. The only problem was I wanted bigger. I can't afford $10,000 on a 77inch OLED so I went with the Sony X940E. Great tv as well, unless you have had an OLED before purchasing that tv. I couldn't help but notice the absolutely horrific viewing angles and how the picture quality did not match my OLED of last year. For my situation, the 75inch was not worth losing OLED picture quality. So the sales manager at my local Best Buy really helped me out big time because I was past the return period but he didn't want me to be stuck with a 75inch tv that I didn't enjoy. So he exchanged the tv for a 65inch LG OLEDC7 and I am so much more satisfied and perfectly okay with losing 10 inches if it means I can have the best picture quality possible. To sum up, if you haven't bought an OLED before and want the 75inch screen, go for the Sony X940E tv. If you have had an OLED before or want the very best picture quality possible and don't care to miss out on the extra 10 inches, don't wait, get any model of the 2017 OLEDs as soon as possible! They all have about the same picture quality so you're paying for the design of the stand/soundbar. Hope this could help someone and save them from getting themselves into the situation I was in!

I narrowed down my year long search for an OLED tv to the LG C7 and Sony A1E. This LG OLED had the same amazing picture quality, but at a much more affordable price. I'm in constant awe with the image everytime I stream a show or movie on Netflix or watch a 4K Bluray. This tv will continue to outperform other 4K tvs for several years.

We had a Sony Bravia. After 2 years of not getting the signal we should have we returned the T.V. and purchased the LG. Best move ever. The price may be higher than average, but the picture quality, ease of use, and advanced tech more than make up for it. The OLED makes the picture so clean. Just blows away any T.V. we have seen.

I recently purchased this after reading a lot of reviews. The color and clarity are really, really good but the most amazing thing about the OLED is the crisp detail when viewing low lit and/or dark scenes. With the current pricing it was a no brainer for me. I am extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

Got a great price with a sale and birthday discount, under $3000. OLED is $500-1000 more than LCD LED. But most TVs have a technology life span of ten years. Amortized over that time the difference for excellence is minimal. A few dollars a month. Sports and outdoor scenes are amazing. Amazon and Netflix with some HDR content. Stunning.

Update to Review dated 1/19/18 entitled "Red Pixel Line On Panel;Picture Otherwise Gorgeous" I found out that since I was an Elite Plus member since I bought so much from BestBuy that BestBuy would do a return on the product. So I packed the original item up in the original packaging and returned. BestBuy was VERY helpful -- I talked through choices relative to replacing the unit -- I was hesitant to buy another one -- and they told me that my issue was extremely rare -- they had not had one returned before for a pixel problem. In short, I replaced the unit with the exact same model, and it's been a month of constant use with no issues. Just so you know: this TV is SPECTACULAR, and Best Buy did right by me. I am changing my original recommendation to Excellent. Just be sure you have replacement/return options and know what the policies are.
