I was looking for a new big screen OLED TV with the main purpose for 4K HDR gaming. This is the best TV I’ve ever had. The picture quality is beautiful, especially when watching 4K and Dolby Vision content. I went with the LG OLED because they have the lowest input lag for HDR gaming in 4K compared to all the other OLED TVs that are currently in the market (Believe me, I spent days doing research). I can play first person shooters and feel no input lag at all. It’s a dream playing on this TV. This is my best electronics purchase of the year by far! I just want to sit in front of it all day. Amazing!

I purchased this TV after a previous Samsung LCD died. We looked at several TVs, but after seeing the OLED sets against all of the others in the store, there was no comparison - the colors were more vibrant, the blacks deeper than anything we've seen. After getting it home, we were pleased with the LG Smart TV OS and capabilities - we cut the cord about 3 or 4 years ago and watched all TV through a Roku, and the LG OS is easier to use (and Roku is super-easy to use). The only downside is that some TV apps aren't available, like CBS All Access and a few others. But for those we still resort to the Roku.
This is an amazing TV and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in a new TV that doesn't mind spending some extra $$ on a great set.

It's a really great television. I don't doubt that it's the best picture out there. My only thought is whether or not I should have purchased a similar priced 75 inch model from a different manufacturer in that I don't know that the picture would be much worse given that there are limitations to the picture level provided through my cable provider. There's definitely a lot to like though. A lot of sub menus that allow you to customize just about everything, it's relatively lightweight, pencil thin, the best blacks I've ever seen. Replaced a 2010 65" Panasonic plasma that I loved (and still do).

The price of OLED is finally coming down. I love this TV. I use it in my basement while riding my bike. When I watch TV I only use streaming from either the Apple TV 4k or the NVIDIA Shield. I use it to watch Amazon Prime, DirecTV now, Netflix and Youtube. High definition on this tv is great. Blacks are awesome and I love the size. We have started to go downstairs more to watch movies with the extra size. I did not change any of the settings with the TV and I am very pleased with the viewing experience. It is as good if not a little better than the 55" version I bought last year.

OLED technology produces an amazing picture. All internal software and smart features worked as intended right out of the box, have had no problem with streaming etc. Upscalkng from 1080 is good, but 4K native content is truly amazing.
Only downside is that if you are in a room with a lot of sun, this glass-like display can be fairly reflective. In most scenes you’d never notice because the set generates a tremendous brightness. In dark scenes you may notice the reflections more.

LG OLED vs Plasma

I have a 60" Panasonic Plasma with a gorgeous picture, but have been looking at these OLED TVs for a couple years now. Great salesmanship and service by Enix at the Round Rock location of Best Buy got me to finally pull the trigger. Side by side, the difference is very visible. What I have always thought was one of the best pictures on the market looks washed out in comparison to this new 4k HDR TV. I am very happy with my purchase and kudos to Enix for his knowledge and low key sales tactics that helped make the whole purchase process very enjoyable.

I love this OLED TV. The picture quality is amazing. I bought a very nice Sony Bravia LED 4 years ago, and it doesn’t come close to the same picture quality as this OLED. I’m tempted to replace the Sony now!
I considered the Sony OLED, which uses the LG screen but a Sony processor. I went with the LG because I couldn’t tell the difference from the processors, and you’re paying a lot for the speaker system on the Sony. I already have a nice surround system.
I do need to work on getting the TV to work with HDR from my PS4 Pro. Haven’t had a chance to try some of the fixes online yet. Regardless, I can play without HDR and the picture is still amazing.

Picture quality is second-to-none. I play console games on this set and have yet to see any potential for image retention, let alone actual image burn-in. Colors in HDR are fantastic. I definitely recommend either finding 4K streams or buying a 4K player to see the screen for its full potential.
The smart TV apps are responsive and convenient. Though some features on the apps, like YouTube, are a little lacking but that's not LG's problem. The magic remote is handy and easy to use. It would be nice if a mini keyboard would be included to ease text entry for searches and the like but that's not a major issue.
This is an excellent set and I'm happy with my purchase.

I knew I wanted to upgrade to a 4K TV. When I started doing research, one thing seemed pretty common throughout tech review sites. LG's OLED line of TVs were consistently on top. When I read about them, and then saw what they were capable of, it was easy to see why. Their ability to shut off individual pixels for pure black images was a major selling point for me. Also, the support for ALL HDR formats was equally a deciding factor. While they may be a bit more expensive than other 4K TVs, you'll quickly learn that you get what you pay for.

The picture quality this television produce is amazingly beautiful. I think it’s by far one of the best.
The sound from the television is decent, but not overwhelming. An issue I have with the television is that it can distort the sounds from any input, including any apps downloaded. The characters speaking will all have a low, screwed, slow motion type of sound while the video/picture runs normally. It’s not a sync issue. It’s something totally different.
I’ve come to realize that I do not like webos. This was initially used by Palm (if anyone remember who that was), and the improvements of its system is lackluster and limiting.
Last but not least, one of my biggest concerns with this television is that LG preinstall pop up video/audio ads on its App Store. You can’t cancel nor mute their ads as you search for apps. It cost too much for something like that. This negatively impacted my view of the television as a whole.
Once again, the picture and video quality is awesome. I may have received a model that have a sound issue. If you don’t mind Webos and the adware, this TV set is in my opinion the best that’s out there to date and at a very good price.

I'm no TV guru, I don't know half of this TVs. Capabilities. However, I do know that it's hard to watch any shows or movies that isn't with this OLED. I mainly use it for local channels or Amazon TV/Netflix. I rarely use the 4k TV viewing, I wish more shows streamed 4k.
I'd definitely recommend this TV to others. One feature I do use the most and wish other TVs had.... The remote is used as a pointer/clicker. Navigating screens, channels and typing information in is a breeze. I find I miss this feature on my other cheaper TVs throughout the house.

I bought this TV and an XBOX X. The 4k DVD through the xbox looks great, I played gohst recon which is 4k and hdr enabled, it seemed brighter, maybe better, i couldnt really tell. No image burn probs and I like the remote with the pointer. I had to turn off the dolby setting on my directv genie box to get the sound to sync up, this drove me crazy for a day, i finally found it on an a/v forum....

Easy set up and install. Highly reccomend looking for optimal setting online and adjust from their to your prefferences. (it improves the standard factory picture setting 100%). You will often find yourself totally immersed in the picture to the point you wil feel like you floating in flight scenes such as Star Wars. The black is pitch black and and you can't tell if the TV is on or off (there is an option for power on/off indicator sound. Not a fan of the metallic base as it reflects the light from the tv picture, but its a simple fix to cover it with a dark decorative cloth.

I was prepared to buy a 4K smart TV. After looking at my choices in the store, I just had to bring my wife back to see the difference between LG’s OLED picture quality and every other TV on display. I was trying to be the conservative one and keep our costs down, but when she saw the difference, there was no question we were buying the 65” LG OLED TV.
After nearly 2 months, we continue to be astounded at the picture quality of even the 30 year old shows that are on cable. The colors are so vibrant and crisp it’s difficult to explain. Go see it for yourself.
We set up the TV ourselves and I connected it to DIrecTV, and our surround sound system. One remote handles normal TV viewing. We move to the LG Smart remote when we use the Smart TV wireless capability.
Our TV room is all windows on 3 sides, so the anti glare screen is an added plus.
If you need to save a little longer or pay $20 more each month, you’ll be rewarded with incredible viewing every moment you spend in front of this TV.

I previously had purchased LG's oled 65b6. I only had it for 14 days before I noticed a line going down the upper right of the panel. I went to Best Buy to swap it out for a new one but since it was a discontinued model they no longer had any in stock. After much discussion they gave a very fair deal on this model. So far it has passed the two weeks! Not much of a difference from the b6 model. Webos 3.5 is slightly better in features but that's about it. The blacks are a little better due to the dark tint. I personally love everything about this tv. It makes a living room come to live.

I made the jump from an outstanding Plasma to OLED this year. Viewing angle is impressive and handles gaming great. I find myself rewatching movies/TV shows in HDR just to experience it. I was worried at first about placing this TV in a very bright room but it handled the room fine. LG remote took a few days to figure out but works well. 2nd home TV will absolutely be an LG OLED just need to decide if I wait until next years model and what new things may come.

Image quality is unmatched. Beautiful inky blacks and vibrant colors. You get what you pay for. I don't really care about how thin it is, but it's neat to show off to guests when they come over. It's a jaw dropper. Only negative thing is you might want to get a Chromecast or a Roku because the selection of streaming apps in the LG content store is really lacking. No HBO? Really? I bought this TV for the beautiful picture, and not the apps though.
