I bought this tv because of the picture quality and smart tv capabilities. So far the picture is so life like and the blacks are truly black. I’ve only had it for a few days. I be decided to buy a extended warranty from best buy because of some of the issues others have had. Streaming from Netflix and amazon are a breeze with no buffering or disconnects. I could not use these apps with my previous Samsung TV. The apps would just disconnect. Samsung would say it was the apps. Net flicks and amazon would say its Samsung.
I will do an update after a few months.

Well this will be a update, got this one, sound working using a digital optical cable because our Bose 535 is not compatible to 4K, picture looks great even using a non- 4k blu-ray player.
Did a custom set up, looking good.
Had our LG for about week or more, very impressed, glad we made this choice.
Smooth on games, WiFi works real good. Apps fast.
No regrets!

Picture is unbelievably crisp, clear and bright, at first (2018). But has burn in problems. Every channel that has a symbol on the screen when you watch it has burned in to the screen. Looks awful. I have boxes and symbols all over the screen. I purchased this model because the previous OLED TV I owned burned in with smearing effects on the screen. Was told that this TV won't do that. WRONG. I turn the TV off when I am not watching it but it still took about a year to get ruined. I would not recommend this TV to anyone. It appears to be an OLED issue, that LG can't fix.

Absolutely stunning picture....very little motion blur which is fantastic for watching sports like hockey and for fast-action movies. Picture depth and color is unlike anything I've ever seen which makes panoramic scenes simply breathtaking! Sometimes it's actually hard to pay attention to what's going on in the program you're watching because the picture itself is so beautiful.
Can't really comment on the sound because i run my TV through my home theater receiver.
Be warned though, if you buy this TV, your TV consumption will increase by at least two-thirds!

Great picture.... but severe burn in issues

One of the best pictures I've seen, but the TV burned in the local TV station info bar and logo after several months. Now this shadow, which is located one third of the way up from the bottom of the screen, is clearly visible when the screen shows light colored images. Totally unacceptable for such an expensive TV! From reading other reviews, it sounds like LG will not warrant this defect.

I had been a Sony TV buyer for over 40 years. I just found the colors so natural and easy to set up. Well, I decided that an OLED display was my next purchase. Sony had just released the A1E but was $2K more than an LG (at 65") at the time when I was looking last summer. And I still wasn't convinced I wanted to pay $3.5K for a 65" LG OLED. So I took home an open box 55" LG B6. I have to say I liked it right away but wife chimed in that it was too small even though we were replacing a 55" Sony LCD/LED TV. The 55 LG B6 price was $1.75K at the time which was a great deal, but it went back! Then I took home a 65" Sony 65" X900E thinking the $2K price was the right budget for me for this purchase. Very nice TV but here is what I didn't like: 1) I was disappointed in the Smart TV software, especially how slow it was, 2) the side viewing angle was not good at all and I had a seating arrangement that accentuated this, 3) screen glare reflections, and 4) no Dolby Vision.
So I bit the bullet and paid $3,200 on a 65" LG C7. I have owned it for almost a year and never looked back regretting this decision. If I was looking now I would still buy this TV even with the introduction of new 2018 OLED models from Sony, LG and others.
Getting a 4K OLED TV without Dolby Vision is a mistake no matter what you buy. It is awesome watching the latest Netflix Dolby Vision content like "Lost in Space". Now I want SONOS support for Dolby Atmos sound :)
For those on the fence just buy the 2017 C7 before they are gone! Also, thanks Best Buy for making my buying process easy without any questions!
Just get it!!

This picture on this television is amazing. Once you get one of these every other TV is just going to. You do have to make some slight adjustments to the default settings out of the box (turning off energy mode so the screen gets brighter and turning on sound mode so dialogue is louder) but other than that 5 stars all around. I liked this TV so much I that I got a 55 and a 65!

Just purchased the 65 inch OLEDLG model C7. And order of magnitude better then any TV on the market. I’ve only had it for a week and I’m amazed at how good it is. Make sure you turn energy saver off to get best picture.

Ordered this when it was on sale plus a nice rebate from LG with free install by Geek Squad. Nice remote with a motion sensor that takes a little getting used to but after 5 minutes simple to use. Great picture and sound. 4K streaming looks stunning.

This is another update for my new 65" OLED, for this whom complain about their 65" with showing a small thin white horizontal line at bottom of their screen that disappears and reappears, the answer is from my tech.salesman said "this is from the broadcasting/provider.
He said when you change the station and don't see it, that tells you that it is the broadcasting provider. Wow! he was right! happen to me one time, when it came up, I changed the station, no line, then went back to the station with line, it was there, but not the other station. Too hard for me too explain why the line shows up.
I LOVE our LG, no complaint's.

Major sound issues

I have been a SONY XBR Bravia customer for decades. I would upgrade to a new top of the line TV once every 5-7 years and I have never had an issue with quality or durability. I literally have an old WEGA in my bedroom from over a decade ago which is still great. I decided to go with OLED to upgrade my main living room TV and after doing a bunch of research online, I decided to go with the LG given that their technology was also being used by the more expensive SONY. WHAT A MISTAKE. My 65 inch arrived right before Thanksgiving. I set it up and the picture is awesome, as good as I had expected, if not better. The following morning, I am watching some disney movies with the kids, and switching between my Apple TV and my cable box, and all of a sudden the sound cuts out. I figure out that by running the sound test it goes back on, but obviously this is a defect. I call Best Buy, they immediately set me up for a return/exchange for the same TV. However, this prompted me to look online to see if others had experienced this issue. It turns out there is are many upset LG customers of not just the C7 but even the much more expensive E7 who are experiencing "lip sync" issues. LG is apparently aware of it as they have it on one of their support sites with instructions as to how to potentially address the issue. I was now worried that the replacement TV would be experiencing these issues.
Well, the new TV showed up, the delivery/pick up process was very easy. I set up the new TV, and of course it has these lip sync issues (the video is just slightly ahead of the audio). I attempt to rectify using LG's own suggestions as well as what I found on the web, none of it helped. I am returning the TV in exchange for the XBR 930E. I am shocked LG would knowingly continue to ship these TV's with this issue. Lesson learned.

I've been upgrading my tv on a yearly basis for a decade now. I have finally found a tv that I don't think I'll be able to improve upon. It's the perfect tv. Love it!

Bought it exactly 6 years ago, everything was great, but this morning when I turned it off there was a vertical line in the screen, I’ll try to bring it for repair. I had really hoped it would have last at least 10 years, may be worth to fix though.

Images burned in after 10 months

Very poor reliability. Images got burned into the screen, making the TV almost completely worthless, after only 10 months. LG refused to honor the warranty as in their contract 'burn in' is not covered. I've never experienced this issue before, having owned Samsungs in the past. Buyer beware.

Picture is good but if you watch any channels with a banner or permanent logo, the screen will develop irreversible image burn. LG will NOT warranty this condition.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE BEAUTIFUL PICTURE

ALL OLED panels can have burn-in, you're just playing the lottery that maybe, you won't have this problem. You'll read that permanent image burn-in can only happen if you leave the same logos/bright images on the screen for hours/days, THAT'S A LIE. I have permanent burn-in of the Netflix logo in the lower right corner of my 2 year old OLED tv, AND THAT'S ONLY ONSCREEN FOR MINUTES AT A TIME when I am choosing a show. There's another post here of local news logos permanently burned in AND THAT'S ONLY ONSCREEN FOR 30-60 MINUTES A DAY. Point is: if you have the same image onscreen regularly, you don't need to leave it on for hours, just 5-60 minutes a day times 6 to 24 months AND YOU MAY GET PERMANENT SCREEN BURN-IN. And LG's WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER BURN IN. There may be OLED owners who've reported no burn-in for two years, but read AVS forum, AROUND 15% OF OLED OWNERS REPORT PERMANENT BURNED-IN SCREEN DAMAGE WITH REGULAR USE, NO GAMING - for a tv that costs well over $3,000 after taxes and protection plans, ALL OF THE 5-STAR REVIEWS HERE, CONTACT THESE REVIEWERS IN TWO YEARS, I bet at least 15% of them may be reporting permanent image burn-in. YOU ARE BASICALLY PLAYING THE LOTTERY WITH YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. My advice: sacrifice the perfect blacks and the perfect picture for a TV that will last more than 2 years!!

Exceptional until pixels failed within 2 months

When this TV worked properly it was the most spectacular picture I have ever seen on a TV and the all black display and contrast is stunning. After only 2 months a pinpoint of pixels failed creating a white dot that is visible whenever TV is on. If LG warranty service is quick and painless to replace will update review.
