I purchased the "LG - 65 inch Class (64.5" Diag.) - OLED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range" (the C7 model) because after much review and contemplation I felt that it had the best picture quality over the other brands. I had the opportunity to talk to the Best Buy sales associate and the LG representative at the same time. The OLED technology is fantastic. It runs a bit warmer than my previous LED TV, but the picture quality is outstanding. 4K movies and games look awesome on it as well as cable TV. There are a lot of settings to play with so you can tune the TV to your liking or mode. I did purchase the 5-year extended warranty and had it installed. It's been two months now running for long periods each day and I have not had one problem with it. I also purchased the Geek Squad picture tuning service where they come out after 100 hours of use and verify that the picture quality is the best that it can be. OLED is an outstanding picture technology.

An excellent TV set. The deepest and most astoundingly realistic black levels I've ever seen. Color and detail are among the best I've ever seen. Light years ahead of an older rear projection 1080p Sony it replaces.
Good content looks almost too real- Saw parts of "Platoon" and it felt like being in the jungle. With some online research, a few custom tweaks made it even better. About the only suggestion I can think of off hand is to add a backlit remote.
Bottom line: If you can afford it, give it strong consideration. The extra speakers on the next level up just were not worth the money, at least to me.

Have had this TV now for about 2 Weeks and I just think it is great, outstanding picture quality easy of use you can't ask for anything better. The only thing that I would have to say is after looking at this TV for about 8 months and waiting for the price to drop and it never did, just looked on line at Best Buy and they dropped the price by 100.00 dollars seem I can't win for losing..
Though it still is a great TV..

One of the best TV's I have came across. The OLED technology and the picture quality is outstanding! However make sure that your surround system and the 4K cables have HDCP 2.2 protection. My Roku Ultra will not display 4K with out it

I have a Pioneer Elite TV I have replaced with this, the picture is bigger (50"vs 65") and brighter, almost too bright, but that could be adjusted I think, but it does show up in the faces of characters in movies but the color and resolution are amazing, also bought a Panasonic 4k dvd player to go with this and the picture is amazing, the Pioneer elite is still very good but the 4k makes the upgrade for me

Best TV I have ever owned

It is the most expensive TV I have ever had, so I am glad it is the best I have ever owned. This is my first OLED and my first 4K TV. I love the colors that this set produces and the contrast is absolutely perfect with the pure black that is produced with the OLED pixel technology. The motion is smooth and I have not seen any artifacts on my set. Before I purchased this set, I had read that other owners have seen "banding" and "vignetting" on their screens. I have seen none of that.
I have used the smart tv functions to watch shows and movies using Netflix and Amazon, and it works flawlessly. I have watched both regular blu ray and 4K ultra blu ray, and watching movies at home is now 10 times better than going to a movie theater. The image is that good.

I am extremely happy with this TV! From watching normal cable TV, Ultra HD BluRays on my Xbox One X, to playing a lot of games with this TV, Everything about it screams quality.
I've gamed a lot on this TV with my Xbox One X since I've gotten it and it makes every game look amazing . From the HDR to 4K resolutions and a rock solid input lag and refresh rate... It's a gamers dream come true. Screen retention isn't necessarily a problem with these TVs anymore if you treat your TV well. Just change up what your watching after a few hours and don't leave the TV paused on the same screen for 6 hours straight and you'll be fine. My only complaint was unboxing the TV . It's so thin you'll think you'll snap it in half.. But you won't. Have a friend help you and follow the instructions.
Great TV. Especially now at an affordable price. You won't be disappointed .

This is the best purchase I have made in a longtime, I have had a thx certified Panasonic plasma which has a great picture after many years of service but this tv blows it away, the brightness is amazing , clarity and color . This tv is hard to beat , if you are a home theater junkie like myself , pay the price and get an LG OLEd, I guarantee you will not regret it.

Cinematically Fantastic - Software is horrible
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The picture is fantastic, there is no debating that topic. It is miles above my Samsung KS8000.
The issues arise in the software. There is a known issue between Denon and Marantz receivers. They will not handshake correctly, so HDMI-CEC does not work, and it will not accept audio or video from the receiver, or output audio to it. If you have Denon or Marantz, be prepared to possibly have to purchase a new receiver to be able to use the new TV.
There are also advertisements on the side of the home screen. Mine currently flips between an ad for the movie "IT" and "watch basketball for less." To get rid of these ads, you have to accept a EULA that states LG will keep track of the name of the content you watch, when you watch it, what source it was from, how long it was watched for, if you paused or stopped the content for any length of time.
The EULA then goes on to inform you that your watching data will be used for ad targeting through LG's services, and that it will be sold to 3rd party companies, and those companies may share viewing information with others.
If you are someone who does not care about your privacy online, it is a great set. If you are like me, and limit who collects what information on you, this is probably not the television for you.

This is a great TV. Having reviewed and watched numerous TV's, none stood out like this one. This was the only one that could match my ZT60 for black levels. I opted for this model over the other E & G series, as they use the same OLED panels, just step up to better sound on the higher end units.

The C7 model of LG's OLED TV lineup is fantastic. Easy to use, incredible picture, and 4K resolution. It easily connects to antenna, to PS4, PS3, and surround sound receiver via HDMI. There are no noticeable signal delays, so sound and image appear to sync. Note that for best reception of streamed content you will likely need more than 20 Mbps internet bandwidth.

We purchased this TV from Best Buy because of its clarity and color capabilities with the blackest blacks and the most vivid colors.
We also love the ease of control going from Internet to other functions on the television.
You will love this LG 4K HD 65"smart TV without a doubt.

The picture is outstanding. 1080i content via cable provider scales very well. 4K content via 4k Bluray Player is surreal. Sound is good as well, but I bypassed and use a soundbar. Colors and black levels are outstanding. TV is on the pricier side, but I think it was worth it.

Love this new TV! Of course it looks best in all it's glory while watching movies or shows in 4K...with those the picture and color is spectacular. It is a bit grainy in lesser quality shows but still great in HD as well. Glad we stuck with the 65" rather than going bigger as the price was great, and even got a discount on the SJ9 Sound bar. The sound bar has done wonders for our vaulted ceiling family room and so glad we got the top one offered. Best Christmas gift to ourselves! It was not very heavy at all so we installed it ourselves on our existing wall mount. This does mount lower on the TV than our previous Vizio so we had to lower the wall mount, but still not a problem. Don't know how we ever got along with the old 42"...lol. Time for a Super Bowl party!

TV came well packaged, easy to unpack, install, and set up. I had to go out and get longer bolts to install with the wall-mount that we chose, but after that, it was pretty simple. The picture is beautiful, pairs well with Bose Soundtouch 300, interface is easy to use.

Did tons of research on buying a OLED TV. Highly rated by all reviewers. Looked as Samsung and Sony but convinced this was the best choice. Easy to set up and use. Spectacular picture. Had a couple questions and called LG tech and got a quick response. Bestbuy crew delivered and set it up. Great service. Really please with the decision to buy LG

I have watched the set a few time using various sources and I will say that this has to be the best TV that I have seen. The picture is clear and the details are crisp. In a dark room the picture really jumps to life. The Oled price is steep compared to other units but I will say the set exceeded expectations after installation.

The picture quality is as advertised...fantastic! Placed on wall and paid for extra attachment for sound bar. Also had geek squad install attachment to hide wiring and am impressed with their workmanship. You can read far more detail from more qualified individuals regarding specifics of picture and sound quality. I just wanted to add that we've had a problem with lip syncing and though there are ways to address this issue with LG's auto sync process, the problem remains. I've tried a variety of adjustments such as turning off Dolby atmos etc but nothing works consistently. It's worse on certain channels, doesn't appear at all on others, and barely noticeable while viewing movies and most apps. Nevertheless, still rate the overall product 5 stars.

I love my new tv - the images are sharp. The geek squad set it up for me but I had to replace the receiver - I just set that one up myself - it works amazing and it wasn't hard to set up. I love the bracket that we bought - it is easy to move the TV for better viewing.

Got a great price with a sale and birthday discount, under $3000.
OLED is $500-1000 more than LCD LED. But most TVs have a technology life span of ten years. Amortized over that time the difference for excellence is minimal. A few dollars a month.
Sports and outdoor scenes are amazing. Amazon and Netflix with some HDR content. Stunning.
