Poor picture quality, blurry, especially using OTA

I'm not sure why so many praise the picture quality, because it is fair at best. its at its worst when using a OTA antenna. I have 3 other smart tv's in my home, all older, even one that's 5 years old and they all blow the picture quality away over this tv. A couple other reviewers hit the nail on the head. Picture looks very blurry and not clear. Contrast is a real issue here. Blacks are poor. Now besides that, it ghosts/smearing/motion blur really bad. The only upsides to this tv is the nice tv guide feature and the free channels you get. The LG apps work very smooth and very simple and straight forward. The remote is nice after learning it. I was disappointed to have to take the tv back but between the poor picture quality and the motion blur/smearing, I just couldn't stand watching it at all.

Does not come with a port for headphones which is puzzling...how hard can it be to add this. Much cheaper models have a headphone port. It also does not have HBO max, a very fast growing streaming service, especially with 1st run movies released directly to Max. You can stream it through your phone, but are dependent on making sure your phone is fully charged...and the quality is inferior. Bottom line, If you are just watching cable TV and Netflix this is a fine purchase. Else, go somewhere else. Ralf

Mistake
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have for 7 months and cannot watch. Audio but no picture. Which is same problem other reviewers have had. Bigger problem is customer support. Even though under warranty they could go weeks or months before they send a tech out. Each time I get a promise on something from customer support they do not follow through. Claims they cannot find a tech in Houston. Been about 3 weeks now. This is after talking with rep that I can only understand part of what they are saying. Was debating appliances from LG but not with this kind of support. Will toss TV. Warranty means nothing if you don't back it up. Good pic until then. After many calls not sure where to turn now except try another brand.

Not compatible w/ HBO or Apple. Samsung is better.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This TV's display is decent, but it has a few negatives that make me really wish I got the Samsung TV instead. For starters, LG is not compatible with the HBO apps, so you can't use the smartTV features to use the HBO apps which really sucks. Second, it only connects with Android devices, not apple devices so if you have an iPhone or other apple products you cannot mirror the screen or connect with the TV in any way. The user interface for the smart TV is not great and should really have a home screen where you can select which streaming app you want to use easier. Lastly, the remote is a really cheap piece of junk. the buttons often don't work and its really cheaply made. We got the Samsung 65in and its MUCH better in every way- definitely spend the extra money and get that one!

Not worth it

If it’s hooked up to a Roku or fire stick it works. Have had picture issues too. No contract with espn, so you have to have something external…I’ll go back to Samsung.

You'd expect a TV to last more than 4 years. This is the second time. Something like this has happened. Definitely won't buy again

It lags to the point that I use my game system to stream everything. Looking it up, LG makes the tv so that dust can cover the signal for the WIFI. I dust regularly to prevent caking but here we are. I do not recommend this brand of tv to anyone.

I bought a 60in 6 series LV in 2018 and the LED light has already gone out and now the TV is blue. I searched and found that this is a common issue for LG as the the light that they use is not is not very good quality and cheap. Tons of people are having this problem with LG units going out after about 2 years. I've always had samsung and this is the first LG LED unit I've had and will never buy an LG unit again.

Horrible Lag, horrible TV>
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a terrible TV if you care about gaming at all.It lags horribly and the only slight fix I've seen so far is to put the TV in game mode. Game mode, however, looks horrible. The screen becomes incredibly dull. Even if you don't game, the TV takes forever to actually start. You're looking at 2-3 minutes for the TV to even turn on. It takes forever to load anything to the point I use my gaming system for hulu/netflix. Finally, there are weird blurry marks on random parts of the TV. This was a complete waste of money. Spend your money on a better TV.

NO APPS

Backlight bleeding is horrendous

We haven’t even owned this TV for a month and it has the absolute worst backlight bleeding and clouding in the corners. So much so that it makes is nearly impossible to enjoy what you’re watching.

Picture not clear and color not vivid

It took quite a while to figure out the video settings (brightness, contract, etc). The picture still looks out-of-focus and the colors aren't vivid as expected. Returning the TV.

White glow around edges

Very Lame
