Customers express satisfaction with the dryer's performance, ease of use, and quiet operation. Many appreciate its capacity and find it to be a good value for the price. A common complaint, however, is the lack of an interior light. The dryer's energy efficiency is also frequently praised.

Spent hours researching washer and dryers. Didn’t need the dryer but was replacing washer so decided to go ahead and replace dryer. Working great and easy to learn how to program. Replaced a Maytag set.

This item was very highly rated on Consumer Reports and the performance has been fantastic. Bought this for my 88 year old aunt who loves the performance. "Dry the first time" she exclaimed! This along with the matching washer replaced a 20 year old washer and dryer. After she was taught how to use it by one of her grand children, she has started to experiment with different settings. This is someone who is afraid of change but these are easy to use! At first the installers did not switch the dryer door to go the correct way but just a few days later, they changed it with no charge!

Disappointed with Sensor Dry

If I had it to do over, I would not buy this dryer. The sensor dry does not work well unless you have a full load. When I do towels, no problem but anything else is an issue. My fitted sheets don't get dry around the elastic nor do my knit pants. Lingerie loads don't get dry. In fact, they had to replace the first dryer because nothing got dry on Low. Then I got the dryer I have now and still had damp spots on clothes. I messaged LG and they said to use manual dry. So why even have sensor dry if I have to use manual dry? My 20 year old dryer had sensor dry and it worked great no matter the load size. I actually lost features when my old dryer couldn't be repaired. If you do full loads all the time, it should be fine for you. I don't, so I'm not happy with it.
Also, there is no light in this dryer. A dryer at this price level should have a light.

NO LIGHT INSIDE

It’s a dryer. It dries. I got this to match my washer but my old Maytag was still drying fine. Compared to the Maytag, this lacks in a few areas.
For starters, the controls are needlessly complex. With my Maytag I could set my dial for the heat and hit start. With this, I turn on the dryer then I can select the settings, then hold down the start button. I wanted is toaster level simplicity, but what I get is unnecessary hassle. I don’t know what half the settings do. Using a light for the indicator is idiotic because it will be useless when it breaks. The controls will probably wear out faster too.
Additionally, there is no light inside. On my Maytag the light went out a lot which was annoying and I swore the next time I would replace with LED. But this has no light at all. Pathetic.
The long screen is nice and it dries fine, but this doesn’t seem built to last. And very expensive.
