Customers consistently note the double ovens as a favorite feature, with many praising their independent operation and convenience. Terrible purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish I had done my research. This stove gets too hot, you cannot even control the temp. The top oven doesn’t heat evenly, so we’ve never been able to use it

Just what we wanted
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our old range conked out, so we searched the internet for a replacement. We wanted a range with easy-to-reach controls , double ovens, and easy-to-clean cooktop and ovens. Though there were no reviews for this model (too new), other LG models looked very nice and had many excellent reviews. Our local Best Buy had the lowest price and delivered it 3 days later. We have used our new range several times and are very pleased with it.

Unexpected Shortcomings for this Price Point
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were very excited to get this oven and spent considerable time researching ovens prior to purchase. Although we have largely enjoyed using this oven, there are a few shortcomings that I wouldn't expect for an appliance in this price range. 1. The cooktop is "textured" as versus smooth glass which makes it hard to clean. 2. As mentioned by others, it is VERY easy to accidentally rub against the knobs and turn the burner on by mistake. Within 3 minutes of installing the stove, I accidentally bumped a knob and turned on a burner. Our family has had to consciously get in the habit of not leaving flammable things on the cooktop (like a box with leftover pizza, for instance) for fear that the burner will accidentally get turned on and start a fire. The idea that my teenager might forget to pay attention to this scares me. 3. I'm surprised that nobody else has mentioned the too-wide spacing of the racks. When you put a thin crust pizza on a rack, the rails are spaced so far apart that the edges of the pizza droop and toppings and cheese quickly drop into the oven. Normally I would say no big deal and use a pizza stone, but the top oven has a specific "pizza" mode that negates the use of a pizza stone. LG needs to offer replacement racks with the rails closer together. I like this oven, but if I had it to do over again, I would choose a different model.

Posted .Hey Troy, thank you for your detailed review on your oven it is very important to us. It is great to hear that you like the oven overall besides there being some features of the oven you like more than others. I can understand how frightening it may be for the burners to easily turn on and for you to have to be extra careful placing things on the stove top. Combo convection/conventional stove works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Figured wait a while before writing a review, hope this doesn't jinx it! Stove has been working wonderfully now for a few years. First time having an over that uses convection, so took some time researching cooking items that don't list a convection temp. Luckily the stove converts it all for you, put in the normal temp you would cook at, and it does the rest for you. Only downsides, you cant fit anything like a large turkey in either stove part. Luckily never really cooked anything really large in general. So take that into consideration. Stove top can be a pain to keep clean sometimes after spill and whatnot. Still searching for that miracle cleaner

The stove top is a NIGHTMARE to clean
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you are completely fastidious about cleaning this, expect to have discolorations and marks start to appear very quickly. I use baking soda and castille soap to clean it with the recommended scrubbing sponge. Yes, I realize you're meant to use the cleaner they recommend but I do not wish to further pollute our Lakes with chemicals. If you have a spouse who is not on board with keeping it looking new, forget it. I wish we had never bought this and gotten an induction stove instead, as the glass itself doesn't get as hot. Things just get baked on so easily despite using a scraper. Apart from that the stove is nice. But it doesn't make up for the cleaning issue.

SOOOOO disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been in a struggle w/this range for 2 months and, after a repair person came out and recalibrated both ovens after I had recalibrated both 3 time each, he seemed to get it to the programmed temp on chiming Preheat. I've failed to do so since. I finally talked to repair person who explained that it is so screwed up because it was adapted from it's purpose as an oven into a new purpose as an energy-saving heater that he said doesn't hold steady temp, but ranges above and below set temp for an average, somehow saving energy in the process. Even though recalibrated 35 degrees above default, it still alerts that it is preheated when 100 degrees below set temp and if you believe you can insert food to bake at that time, you'll find out when the bake time is up that it's raw. You can either wait an additional 15-20 minutes, based on what temp you need, before inserting food, or else jack the temp up an extra 50 degrees until it gets to your required temp, then back it off to 25 degree higher than you need. At that point it will bake at the temp required. I feel like this is the 1920s and I'm babying a wood fired stove. Another disappointment is the wide spacing of oven rack wires, which allow my oven thermometer to drop to the oven floor. Range top works fine, though the Ultra-heat burner works no better than my old 2004 GE Profile.

Terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this October 2015 (had it for 2 years now) and it has been the WORST purchase ever. We have had LG out to replace the "motherboard" 2X. (On the phone they said that "commonly happens with this model" FYI) We have had the electrical replaced, the outlet replaced, the heating element replaced. LG was terrible with poor customer service despite us having a warranty! Now, 2 years later it is still malfunctioning-- heating element randomly turns off while cooking. Or the oven won't turn on. Bottom oven is super noisy. We get "f9" on the display often which mean electrical malfunction and have to turn off the circuit to our house, pull the oven out and wiggle the wires around. We have had 2 different electricians look at it and no one can find anything. Our electrical in our house is brand new. And we have even replaced all of the wires to the oven, thinking that may have been part of the problem!! For $1600 I would expect something to last longer. Now we are looking at Sears for a GE product to replace this terrible purchase. I cook dinner 5x a week and this has really let me down multiple times, including once on thanksgiving day!! Be warned and get a better product.

Pathetic ovens
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cooktop works great, but ovens suck. I know temps run wild on this oven, the worst I have ever owned in 50 years, because I use oven thermometers to check and have to wait 10-15 minutes, when heating above 375 degrees, past preheat signal to put food in. If I did put food in based on preheat signal, dinner would come out raw. Sometimes the temp just wouldn't get up to setpoint so I'd have to turn temp up, then start baking and turn temp down to normal temp later. Even then, it might still remain too high or might go too low again. I talked to a second service tech and he told me that some air-headed Engineers decided that, to make them more efficient, they think it's okay to let temps range widely. Clearly not cooks. Basically, you have to babysit these ovens, like my great-grandmother did on her wood burner in Italy. Worst oven I've ever owned and last LG appliance I will own.

Great looking double oven
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the black stainless look on this range. Grease comes off the stainless much easier than my old 'normal' stainless range. Having two ovens is very helpful, the top one is used most of the time and it heats up fast. Highly recommended!

Hot garbage (well, cold garbage)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be forewarned, do better research than reading reviews on here. 4 months out of warranty (only 1 year, that should've been my first warning) and our oven has died, first the convection fan stopped spinning now after attempting to 'easy-clean' (which just warms up the water so you can scrub it.. no kidding.) it won't power on at all. Reading up on this there are huge red flags on consumer reports (mainly for gas leaks), and issues with faulty motherboards. Funny, I've only owned one other LG appliance and it broke a month past it's warranty too. I highly recommend NOT purchasing this product. Hopefully my loss can be someone else's gain.

Knobs turn on far too easily. Very unsafe.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Knobs turn on far too easily. Very unsafe. The slightest unintentional bump of any of the knobs can turn the gas on without being aware. Kids, dogs unintentional bumps have turned the knobs enough to have the gas turn on. Eventually the house will smell like gas before we will realize. It's extremely dangerous. We have to keep all the knobs removed until we are ready to cook.
