finally replaced our decades old set, did a lot of research and settled on the LG washer/dryer set. LOVE LOVE LOVE them both! Easy install, very quiet and efficient. And they look beautiful too.

The dryer works very well I can use it with my cell phone to turn it on or off I can change cycles It is efficient It has the capacity to dry in a single time I recommend it

We bought this a few weeks ago to replace a Kenmore washer and dryer set. Because we were also replacing the washer we went off the washer for the most part for the reviews when picking the set. The matching washer options were rated very high both in just general reviews and also on Consumer Reports so here we are. We ordered the dryer first so I can’t speak to the washer yet, but so far I feel very “meh” about the dryer. Things I don’t like: 1. It’s LOUD. Significantly louder than our old Kenmore. It sounds really tinny and like it’s just hollow metal between the drum and everything else inside. I have no idea what is normal for dryers as far as insulation or sound deadening goes but usually I find them to be relaxing sounding and this one is not like that at all. It is especially annoying because we have young children with bedrooms near the dryer and even with sound machines on I can hear zippers etc banging around. Even just closing the door has a loud clack and it really bugs me. 2. We got the grey color and the black on it is surprisingly quick to look messy. If you have any lotion on etc it gets greasy and gross looking very quickly. In hindsight I think white would have been better. 3. The delay on the buttons is confusing. If you try to adjust the time the buttons feel iffy in their responsiveness…sometimes it will work only when you let the button go instead of when you press down…other times it just seems like it doesn’t respond at all. I can’t figure it out (my husband is also bothered by it so I don’t *think* I’m crazy) but whoever came up with the idea of not having a button react when you press it was really over complicating things for no reason. There is a delay for the start button which I get for child safety purposes but even that is a bit unnecessary because the panel is on top of the unit where kids can’t reach it easily anyways. But all the other buttons having the weird delay makes no sense. Terrible idea or serious user error on our part. Not sure which. 4. The door opens from the side or hamper style which means you can open it from the top but it only opens about 45 degrees. While I think this is a cool idea it’s a little annoying as well - if you’re going to let it open from the top please just let it open all the way down. 5. It looks cheap to me. Online the pictures look nice but in person I don’t think it looks very nice at all which is a bummer. Especially considering the cost. On the plus side - the standard drying cycle is significantly better at drying our clothing than our previous dryer. Sometimes thick seams, sleeves or thicker items need more time but overall running a standard cycle dries most items which I appreciate. I wouldn’t recommend this dryer. I would honestly return it if I could. It’s not terrible but it’s not great. As a mom with three small kids and a laundry area fairly central to the home I suggest you look elsewhere. If it’s just going in your garage it’s probably okay but I still think you could find something better.

Bought this with its companion 5.5 cubic foot top load washer-great pair of machines. Great capacity to match the washer. All the drying options you need. The EasyLoad door was also a reason it was purchased. The hinge location still needs to be changed for a left swing, but the instructions look fairly simple-DIY. The drop down position on the door makes transferring clothes from the washer to the dryer easy. The moisture sensor works fairly well, except heavy items sometimes come out slightly damp if mixed with lighter weight iitems. Overall, great machine.

This dryer has been a great addition to my house. I have the twin washer and the pair makes doing laundry a pleasure. I love the multiple ways the door opens and the overall drying ability. Easy to use.

So far this dryer has been working to perfection. It dries my clothes well and fits perfect in the space i have designated for it. It's conveniently opens in 2 different directions as well. Highly recommend.

I have only enjoyed this dryer for a month. I like it very much. It is easy to use--it is intuitive. It also looks very nice. I like that the door can be opened 2 ways. It dries the clothes pretty quickly.

Great buy at the price offered. Always had good luck with LG product I have purchased. Really liked the dual door opening action on this model as well. All in all, very please.

Its only been 30 days but its awesome,Quiet, Large Capacity, Multiple functions. For capacity dosent take up much space. Excellent condition

Highly rated on consumer reports. Fairly quite. Wifi enabled. Text you when done and you can remotely start it. Losts of features. Door opens down and to the side. Also Alexa controlled.

This dryer replaces my old Samsung dryer. I was a little sad they did not have a Samsung available as my last one to replace it, it lasted almost 12 years (as my washer). I am pleasantly surprised by what this dryer can do. It is a smart dryer AND can be easily managed from an app (ThinQ from LG). LG allows you to download many choices of dry cycle setups that may better fit your needs and lifestyle, that was a nice discovery. Let alone that this dryer will also send you reminders for cleaning the tub and alerts you of cycle progress among many other great features.

Very nice large drier! Love that you can open the door from top or side. The new Wi-Fi access with the phone app is great!
