This LG is an intelligent machine. The various settings are easy to use. The drum is huge, and can fit one big king comforter. The Payse button is great, that I can add couple of delicate clothes as necessary. And I like the lint catcher that I have not seen in other dryers. It is most serviceable equipment I have now a days. Thank you to yiur Associate Josh R in pleasant Hill. He helped a lot in our final decision to chose the best dryer for us. Thank you.

Hi, Laura. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your concern about dealing with an issue like this with your LG Dryer (DLE8200W) model, especially so soon after purchase. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products that exceed our customer's needs and expectations.

As a first step, we recommend checking the venting system to ensure it’s not clogged, as this can often cause the dryer to shut off prematurely. You can also try resetting the dryer by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. Hello there, SylviaH. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that your LG DLE8200W dryer is producing loud noises during operation, leading to disappointment. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further.

It's common for dryers to emit certain sounds during cycles, such as clicking from zippers or buttons, or humming from the motor. However, persistent loud noises may indicate specific issues. Here are some steps you can take:

Inspect for Foreign Objects: Ensure that items like coins, zippers, or buttons are not left in pockets, as they can cause noise when tumbling. Before drying, zip up or button clothing and turn items with such features inside out.

Check the Dryer Drum Rollers: Worn or damaged drum rollers can lead to rumbling noises. To inspect, remove the dryer belt and try turning the drum by hand. If it doesn't rotate freely, the rollers may need replacement.

Examine the Idler Pulley: A squeaking noise might originate from a failing idler pulley, which maintains tension on the drum belt. If the bearing is worn, replacing the idler pulley can resolve the issue.

Ensure the Dryer is Level: An unleveled dryer can cause excessive vibration and noise. Use a level to check, and adjust the leveling legs as necessary to stabilize the appliance.

LG - living in the future

Nice looking dryer, looks very modern. The size is amazing as I was able to dry bed sheets and a quilt together. Could probably handle bed sheets and a comforter. Lots of options from temperature to dryness, along with other features that I need to become familiar with. Don’t forget to save your old dryer power cord, as dryers do not come with that. I learned that the hard way.

Nice big dryer. Has a couple different modes. Opted to get one without a water line just to avoid potential leaks. Lots of different settings. Wouldn't pay full price for this machine but on sale it's definitely worth it. The install crew was also professional.

We are three months into using this product, and so far we love it! The app, which I thought was going to just connect the device to WiFi, actually offers A LOT of great features! Along with my washer, these smart washer/dryer units have to be favorite appliances in our house right now.

I like the product. I am still learning about some of its cycles, including how to do "touch up" drying when the machine shuts off and some of my clothes are still damp.

    Worst Dryer I ever had

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I truly wish I could give a negative rating. This is the worst dryer I have ever owned. From day one, the dryer constantly shows a d95 warning and shuts down after just two minutes of running. LG keeps insisting that the issue is a duct blockage. However, I already had the duct professionally cleaned. I uploaded the cleaning receipt, along with photos of the duct and exterior vent, directly to the support ticket. Despite providing all documentation and even sharing the ticket number every time I contact them, each new agent asks for the exact same information again and again. No one seems to review the case history. It feels like starting over every single time. One assigned dryer agent (Ryan) sends only one short message per day and has been completely uncooperative and unhelpful. There is no real troubleshooting support — just repeated statements that it’s a duct issue. When I opened the warranty ticket, I was clearly told that a technician would come out within 7 days. It has now been 16 days, and no one has even called to schedule a visit. I have called LG three separate times over the past three days. Each time, I was told I would receive a callback the same day. No one has called back. Not once. This level of service is completely unacceptable. A one-year warranty means nothing if the company refuses to properly diagnose the issue or send a technician. At this point, the warranty feels like a scam. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. I will not be purchasing LG products again, and I cannot recommend LG to anyone based on this experience.

Hi, Tanzila. Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience with your LG Dryer (DLE8200L) model. We understand the importance of having a dryer that performs reliably and a support process that feels consistent and attentive. For the d95 alert, one helpful step is to run the Flow Sense test built into the dryer. To do this, start the unit on a Timed Dry cycle with no clothes inside, then let it run for several minutes. If the alert appears again, this helps confirm whether the restriction is internal to the dryer rather than the ducting. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-dryer-error-code-list--20152310891742. We’d like to take a closer look at your case history and ensure your details are reviewed thoroughly. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. We're here for you. ^Juvy LG
