    I got this as a set with the washer. It is so modern looking and the lint area is very unique, nothing like what I’ve seen before. I’m not sure what type of tech they’re using but you have to take it out and then open it up like a book and catch the trapped lint. I’m used to the traditional lint where you just take it out and all the lint is exposed. The plus side might be that you won’t have a ton of lint flying everywhere and inside the vents getting stuck. It’s a bit of an extra step but we shall see how it goes. Highly recommend getting the set together and it was a great deal.

    I have been using this dryer for a week and I’m pretty sure it’s a smart dryer because it turned off right when the load was dry.

    Just purchased 2 weeks ago. The drum light does not come on upon opening the door, the light only comes on when the drying cycle is complete or pressing the on button. The light should come on automatically when opening, bad design, thinking about returning it.

    This is a great looking dryer, but there are some functional and design flaws that make me question my purchase. First, and most concerning, is the fact that unless you manually select the "very dry" setting, none of the default presets results in fully dry clothing or towels. If this is advanced sensing, what's the point? Who wants damp clothes? Looking at the instruction manual was not a big help, as it only addresses load size and blockages of the filter or vent, which are not my issues. In terms of flawed design, the control panel is black (without backlighting), but the labels are kind of grey, so they do not stand out, making them hard to see. And, finally, the interior light does not automatically come on, unless the power button is pushed. I own other LG appliances that work very well, but I cannot recommend this gas dryer.
