I never thought I would love a washer and dryer so much. They are so quiet and barely vibrate. I have second floor laundry and, other than my dryer balls, I don’t even remember they are on. I haven’t tried the app yet so I can’t comment on that. My favorite thing is that I can control how long the dryer runs down to the minute! Overall though I am very pleased.

I bought his companion dryer to match my washer that I recently had to replace and I love it. It is easy to use, notifies me by a pleasant little tune and a notification sent to my phone when a cycle is finished. I love the smart home aspect, though I really don’t use it aside from receiving my notifications card changing loads. I love all the different options this provides and that it has sensors so that I don’t over or under dry my clothes. The only thing that the auto-sensing has an issue with is thick comforters. For this, I have found the need to do a manual override as I see that the comforters need more time than the dryer indicates. Everything else is spot on. I love that this dryer takes the guess work out and makes sure that the job is done and done right. Aside from comforters, gone are the days that I go to check the dryer only to need to restart it again. The pleasant tune that chimes when a load is finished drying is much better than the loud buzzer of my old machine, which was startling. This is a great addition to my home and I am very pleased with it.

The washer and dryer are sturdy, quiet and efficient.

The performance is excellent. But the Time and Status Display on the front is unlit and hard to see. We have to use a bright light to view all the options the panel has. It would have been better if the panel lit up when the power button is pressed, with all the individual options showing up brighter still when pressed. Hard to believe the design team at LG missed this.

Aren't using the Wi-Fi features, but as a dryer, this one is great. Only negative is that some of the pre-programmed cycles cannot be manipulated for temperature, but when needed, there are manual options that can be configured any way necessary. Clothes dry faster and have fewer wrinkles than our old GE dryer.

Our first one was 10 years old, and we used it quite a bit. This one is great, really love the Wifi/Smart connection, lets you know when it is done, and if you really want you can start it remotely (not that useful since you have to load it first). Haven't used the Steam dry yet, but nice feature.

I bought this dryer because it is the highest rated by Consumer Reports. Have not been disappointed. My mother-in-law came to visit and fell in love with it. This is my first LG device, so time will have to be the judge on the reliability. I've only owned it for about a month. If I could speak more to the long term reliability, I would rate this dryer higher. Time will be the judge.

No issues so far, still only had them a few months. Would like to say that we paid very close to the same price! (We had the receipt that we paid for our washer and dryer) 18 years ago on a Kenmore front loader, which I believe was the first time they were selling them. The look of the new washer and dryer really makes a difference, it looks like a very high end item, The difference in sheet metal - coloring makes it look amazing. In our original Kenmore machine we had a stationary rack that we can install so we can dry tennis shoes etc... this machine did not come with that? As long as I’ve had dryers, the vent for ducting is an issue on all of them, I wish they would engineer away to where the 90° elbow & pipe doesn’t force the dryer 4 to 5 inches away from the wall. We could not reverse door opening on the washer to open like a book or side-by-side refrigerator. So had to reverse how we put the washer and dryer and now it sticks out 4 to 5 inches away from the wall because of the ducting.
