Dryer is good. Installation was ok; drying rack had never delivered

This would be a great dryer if the lint filter did not rip up all your clothes!

We purchased this washer/dryer set and the dryer broke after 2 weeks. It took several days for someone to come look at it and it's taking another week to get a part for a brand new dryer so we are not only unable to use a brand new appliance but now have to take another full day off of work as arrival times are between 8 AM and 5 PM. This is not acceptable.

This dryer roll up my sheets and the I have to finish redry the inter part.

I have had LG products for years and purchased this when I needed a new machine. The quality has certainly slipped. Exchanges for a GE with the venting system which so far I love.

My Duet washer/dryer crapped out after 11 years of service. I've had the dryer for about 2 months now and things are working pretty well. Nothing to complain about. Easy to use, looks nice and relatively quiet.

We recently purchased a LG 4370 washer and dryer pair based on generally positive reviews on the Best Buy site and in Consumer Reports. While we're pleased with the performance of the washer, the dryer has, in our opinion, a couple of serious flaws. This dryer (an electric model), is the second we've owned with a steam option. The steam option on our old 2011 GE Profile dryer, while not perfect, effectively minimized wrinkling on items that needed some touch up. Even the GE's normal dry cycle resulted in minimally wrinkled items. By comparison however, the LG's normal dry cycle produces badly wrinkled clothing and the steam cycle (called "Steam Fresh") is virtually useless. Putting wrinkled items through the LG steam cycle causes the clothing to become even more wrinkled than when they were put in. It also leaves the clothing very damp, almost wet. We've tried every drying variation for both normal and steam cycles to no avail (including "Wrinkle Care" which tumbles clothing after a cycle ends). A LG service technician checked our machine and was unable to resolve the issue. With respect to the Steam Fresh cycle, I've come to the conclusion that the wrinkling and wetness issues are due to the Steam Fresh program spraying excessive water into the machine too late in the cycle for the clothing to dry again and allow the wrinkles to relax. Also, I believe temperature levels towards the end of the normal dry and Steam Fresh cycles should be kept higher for longer times to allow wrinkles to relax and dampness to evaporate (our old GE machine required its steam option to be used at the highest temperature setting). If not for these defects, I would otherwise give both the LG 4370 washer and dryer 5 stars. I hope that LG will consider reprogramming both the steam and regular drying cycles to improve these issues. Regarding my prior review of our LG DLEX4370 dryer, I realized I left out an important observation regarding the LG machine's Steam Fresh operation. Clothing tends to remain stuck in one position on the drum rather than tumbling from one point on the drum to another. The "tumble" behavior is significant with respect to the amount of hot air that reaches the clothing while it drys. If an item remains stuck to the drum, there is no chance for the fabric to relax and loosen its wrinkles. By tumbling clothing during the drying process, the fabric continually unfolds in different ways and allows wrinkles to relax. My old machine's steam cycle tumbled the clothing, and as mentioned before, it did a much better job at de-wrinkling. My guess is that the LG machine rotates too fast and that reducing rotational speed would improve its steam cycle de-wrinkling performance.

Great dryer. Clothes are dry with single cycle. Steam feature is cool.

This dryer is very fast at getting your clothes dry. Love the timer and the chime at the end when everything is complete.

We bought this primarily for the high reviews from Consumer Reports as well as needing a steam function. I wear button down shirts for work and wanted a dryer to help reduce the wrinkles of such. However, the steam function is USELESS. Other negative reviews are exactly like mine; your clothes come out with more wrinkles and the clothes are very damp. We plan on having the LG washer/dryer picked up and returned for a Samsung.
