Great dryer, Best Buy in store team is the best this dryer arrived with some cosmetic issues, and since I didn’t see the issues right away because we waited for installation, neither lg or customer services over the phone wanted to help me at this time I had the dryer less than a month. I went into the store to complain and they discounted the damage and that was enough for me it only took 15 mins which was a lot more than their phone customer service.

The LG 7.4 cu ft Black Steel Smart Electric Dryer pairs beautifully with its matching LG washer and delivers premium drying performance with a touch of intelligence.
Design & Build Quality
The Black Steel finish is not only elegant, it resists smudges and fingerprints—perfect for modern laundry rooms. The controls are intuitive, featuring a responsive touchscreen that’s easy to navigate.
Drying Power & Steam Capability
With a massive 7.4 cu ft capacity, this dryer handles bulky items like comforters and king-size bedding with ease. It consistently dries clothes quickly and thoroughly. The Steam option is excellent—perfect for reducing wrinkles, refreshing items mid-cycle, and sanitizing without requiring a full wash.
Smart Features & Convenience
LG’s built-in intelligence adjusts drying times and heat levels based on moisture sensing, helping avoid over-drying and saving energy. Thanks to ThinQ app integration, you can start or pause cycles, receive alerts, and download new drying programs remotely.
Noise Level & Efficiency
It’s impressively quiet—even on high heat. Energy efficiency is strong, especially given the large capacity and smart moisture-sensing capabilities.

Best decision ever made on a washer and dryer!
Quiet, efficient, clean, smooth working. And the geeks were amazing when they installed everything! They were thorough, fast, confident, and respectful

A top-rated electric dryer by Consumer Reports, after using it a few times we can see why. It’s quieter than we expected, and relatively easy to use. We are glad we chose it, and we would recommend it to others.

Previously, I gave bad reviews due to misunderstanding. Previously, the problem was not on the machine, it was the installation team who did a gross mistake. Before installing the dryer, they failed to check the vent if it was sealed as a protocol for brand new house in Montgomery county. They installed it without removing the seal. Very terrible mistake! But the dryer is the best after correcting the problem which incurred me for extra expense!

Quiet; dries items well--which is VERY cycle dependent. NOT ALL cycles can be individualized...for example, if one wishes to dry permanent press items on LOW heat INSTEAD of the programmed MEDIUM heat, one CANNOT do so on the permanent press cycle; one must use timed dry to select low heat OR use delicate. If once chooses delicate then the time is quite right so one really must go to Timed Dry. I stated with the WASHER review that there was NO "Complete owner's manual" included with the data provided in the sealed plastic envelope inside the dryer drum. The Owner's Manual Dryer was there BUT the owner is directed to the website to obtain the 'complete' manual. I believe this is a poor decision on LG's part. LG is presuming that everyone who buys this product has CONSISTENT and RELIABLE internet service ALL the time.
Questionable Delicate cycles but overall Excellent

I've used only Normal and Delicate cycles so far, and that might be the case going forward as well, but the Delicate cycle doesn't seem to dry the Delicate stuff when the cycle is "complete." I do love the ThinkQ app and notifications, and the Normal cycle is spot on, but for Delicate cycles, I find myself running another 20min or so timed cycle at low temp. Considering everything, I still give it 5 stars.

We purchased this dryer when our 20 year old Whirlpool front loading dryer went out. I am VERY pleased with this purchase and when the day comes for us to replace the washing machine I will get a matching one. I love the black stainless steel look. It dries the clothes really well and if you get them out when it goes off they are not wrinkly. I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a new dryer.

This dryer handles all we have tested it with at this point. Towels and bedding come out dry unlike our previous dryer and it’s super quiet.

So, we paid for the whole shebang. The washer/dryer set with the free installation and all the accessories you're forced to buy with it. I didn't mind initially because the accessories are good quality and not a bad price—the issue is what they force you to buy don't completely work for this particular dryer.
Unlike some other older LG steam models, there's not a water cup you fill up manually to use the steam function. It needs to be hooked up to the cold water line. This means in addition to all the stuff Best Buy makes you get, you need a y-splitter and an additional cold water hose to use the steam function on this dryer. It wasn't until about 3 weeks after the install (which was great, the guys did a good job and even swapped our outdated wall outlet for us) that we realized we can't use the steam function.
I kind of overlooked this partially because of our experience with older LG washers, and partially because I assumed they were making sure I had *everything* we'd need for this model.
This is going to be kind of process to fix, because our dryer is bolted atop the washer, and we'll have to move all of it to get back there and add the additional parts. Not the worst problem, but a little annoying overall.
As for the product, I have never loved a dryer more. This is a fantastic machine and I love that we can swap the way the door opens. It actually dries everything so I don't have to double-dry like I did with the ones we had at our old apartment.

Owned for a just about 15 months, no problems to date. I'm less enthusiastic about the "smart" features and more often use a manual setting where I can set both time and temperature. "Normal" uses a higher heat level than what I prefer. The water supply for steam is hooked up but I'll probably never use it. If the same dryer was sold without the steam option it would be the better choice. When the cycle is over the light only stays on for a very short period of time. An on/off switch for the light would be a great improvement. Performance is good and capacity is very large so this dryer is still a good choice.

This is one Fantastic clothes dryer. In fact, this is by far the best dryer I have ever owned. It's does everything well and does it very quietly. Clothes comes out looking perfect. Highly Recommended!
