Buyer beware, this dryer is JUNK!

The unit's temperature sensor broke on month 13th of the warranty. Best Buy sent us to the manufacturer, who in turn, sent a tech that did nothing. LG couldn't figure out how to repair it and never called us back to offer a solution. Now we are stuck with a Washer and a dryer that sort of works.

Unhappy customer!

I don’t even have the kit! They were in such a rush that it was too late for me to get them back. Now, I’m still waiting for a tech guy and I hope he will have my steam kit because I don’t have it. Im so unhappy with the cycles on the dryer too. What a mistake I made. It’s all my fault because I loved my LG Trom that I had for 15 years and didn’t even look at other machines. I’m an idiot!

disappointed on install service

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in a wheelchair and attempting to move back in my home which was destroyed by fire and when the service man came to deliver my dryer, and by the way I purchased two dryers and two washing machinea, they said they couldn't connected to my propane gas. I'd gone to all the trouble to get a LPG conversion so that everything was ready for each dryer. Very disappointed on install only

Wonk, wonk, wooooonk.

It uses a sensor. The sensor shuts the dryer off as if its ready. You must reset the dryer and turn it on over and over again until the clothes are completely dry. I will be calling to have them pick up the dryer.

Posted .For the model DLGX4201B, per the owners manual: "Proper airflow is critical to the efficient operation of clothes dryers. A lint filter which is full of lint or clogged with fabric softener sheet residue can reduce the airflow to the point that the time required to dry clothing will be greatly increased. Another factor affecting dry time is your home exhaust system. An exhaust system which is dirty and clogged with lint, or is excessively long, needs to be professionally cleaned or repaired." Also it is important that items need to tumble freely: For a small load, the tub should be 1/4 full. For medium load, the tub should be 1/2 full. And for large loads no more than 3/4 full. Never getting dry

We contacted customer service and they only provided us with instructions on how to reboot the circuit. This never work. As time went by, the heating needed rebooting more frequently and sometimes it required multiple reboots to get it to work. It continues to be an issue to this day. My recommendation to those researching a dependable washer/dryer, stay away from LG. This will be our last LG purchase of any product.

Most times have to use manual dry, and do over and over. Error codes all the time. Company said it meant vents clogged. I paid $600.00 to have all dryer vents cleaned professionally right up to the roof. Store where I purchased it, has it on "Clearance" not just on sale. It was the newest and most expensive model when I bought it. A piece of junk.

Don't buy this dryer

"Sense Dry" is supposed to let you know when the lint filter or ducting is too clogged hence interfering with performance - this feature just prevents clothes from ever being dry. Constant error codes even the cycle right after the service tech "confirmed" machine was in good working order and I cleaned the vent from dryer to the roof including visual inspection of zero lint - d95 again. Unacceptable.

DLGX4201B is Not Compatible with Amazon Alexa

So many features, but still can't dry clothes.

The auto-sense feature definitely underestimates the amount of time needed to dry. I end up needing to add or restart another cycle for the clothes to come out warm and unwrinkled to fold them. Despite all the built in "intelligence", there's no setting on here that says "finish the job"

Lousy service

They refused even though we paid for it. They said someone would call in 5 minutes. No one called. Eventually my husband had to install it himself.

Faulty Installation
