    70" LG - Better than I thought!

I purchased this LG TV because I wanted a high quality picture, less glare when sunlight hits it, ability to use apps like disney plus and netflix, decent sound and ease of navigational use. I didn't know I get all that and more... Plus it has weathered the storm of a toddler. I'd definitely by an LG again, based on my experience with this 70" LG that I purchased.

Awesome TV with a reasonable price! I can't believe we've gotten to this point with 4k screens. It's such a deal if you've never had a 4k television and you're trying to find the best tv within a budget. I haven't had any problems with the TV yet. There isn't anything that's problematic or annoying when viewing. I haven't downloaded the companion app on my phone nor have I used their apps on the tv so I can't comment on how efficient those apps are.

Finding a 70" TV to fit an entertainment system.

I purchased the LG 70UN7070PUA to fit a new entertainment center. It was the perfect size. The picture is outstanding. The speakers aren't bad but I had an existing sound bar that I use instead. There were plenty of HDMI ports and an optical audio port. The only thing I don't like about the TV is there is no bluetooth. Some reviews complained about the TV remote. I find the remote easy to use and have had no problems.

Great TV for the price if the video is calibrated

This TV replaced a 70" Vizio M70 that was about 3-1/2 years old. The Vizio's back light went out just a few months after my 3 year extended warranty went out. I paid $1600 + $99 for the Vizio and warranty and $699 + $118 Geek Squad 5 year extended warranty on this LG. I ordered on line so I did not get to demo it before purchase. I'm using a Denon home theater receiver to do all audio, video switching, and 4K upscaling so the LG is used only as a display monitor. I'm also using a Roku Ultra as my streaming source so I am not using the apps on the LG. Out of the box the picture looked horrible on all factory presets. I was almost to the point of sending it back. The setup screens are not very intuitive and there are no instructions written in the manual on how to navigate them. It took me a few hours to figure them out and once I got into the manual video settings things started to look better. I found a good site ( https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/un7000/settings ) that had tested this TV and had published their calibration settings they used during testing. I entered them in and the picture quality improved greatly. Over the next two days I fine tuned those settings to my room and the picture got really good. Here are my settings: Picture Mode - isf Expert (Dark Room), Backlight - 50, Contrast - 80, Brightness - 45, Sharpness - 19, Color - 60, Tint - 0, Dynamic Contrast - Off, Super Resolution - Off, Color Gamut - Auto, Gamma - 22, Color Temperature - Warm2, Method - 2 points, Point -High, Red -0, Green - 0, Blue - 0, Noise Reduction - Off, MPEG Noise Reduction - Off, Smooth Graduation - Off, Black Level - Low, Motion Eye Care - Off, Tru Motion - Natural. Overall this LG gives much more picture quality adjustment than my old Vizio did. So far most picture quality aspects are better than the Vizio (except for the black levels) but it took a lot of adjusting to get them better. I expect the black levels will get better with more fine tuning. I'm liking the TV better and better and it looks to be a keeper. While it can't compete with OLED and other higher end picture technologies, for the price it's a winner. Too bad the picture quality looks horrible out of the box.

My husband messed up our old tv which was less than a year old, so we had to get a new one. I wasn’t happy. This tv is bigger than the old one, and the picture is great! We’re seeing things in the movies that we hadn’t noticed before. It’s easy to set up and a pleasure to watch. I’m no longer upset. The price was right. I’m very happy with this television and so is the rest of the family.

I’m overall impressed with this tv much much better than the 65” vizio m658-G1 that I bought two years ago. I saw that I had a sound bar and connected with it automatically, and also connected with my xfinity remote control automatically with out me having to do anything picture setting up is really easy and it also knows if anything else is connected such as the DVD player or Xbox or PlayStation I can’t say enough about this tv I’m really happy with it, I will never buy another vizio product again it will be LG or Samsung

My last TV went out, backlight, and had to get a new one. I searched all stores for the size I wanted and price and Best Buy had both. The process was easy. I could not find the TV on the floor but one of the employees went to the back and found it for me. They helped me out and helped load in to truck. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The TV is great. Clear picture and easy to use. Would recommend store and the TV.

Picture Quality is average to good for a 70 inch TV at this price point especially if your primary goal is to stream Netflix/Hulu/Disney etc. Sound is good - no need for a sound bar. Note that LG does not support ESPN+. So if you are a sports fan you probably need Cable or attach a ROKU or other device. The remote is not great - it does not light up so watching in a dark room you will not be able to see the buttons and there is no voice command control like I had in my Sony Bravia - but that cost twice as much.

I absolutely love my new TV. Being an avid movie watcher, I decided to turn one of my unused rooms into a home theater. After doing a lot of research and reading many, many reviews, I decided on this LG. I am not disappointed. The color is vivid, the picture is sharp and the technology is amazing. So many features! I love my new theater room and especially my beautiful LG TV.

If you've seen one, you've seen them all right? Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! This LG is not just massive but, it's impressive too. There's not enough space here for me to explain just how awesome of an experience this has been so, I'll just stick to the reasons why this is a great purchase. 1. Affordable - Where can you get LG quality without breaking the bank? Not a lot of places. I priced matched and used my BBY Credit Card so, not only did I win, I won 3 times! For the size, name recognition and price, I couldn't pass this one up. 2. Massive - Not sure if I mentioned that already but, the screen is huge and is definitely the focal piece to any room. I will wall mount mine as soon as I can get 2 friends to come over to help me lift it and get it into the mount. 3. Quality - It's not Samsung, it's better! I have had all of the big name brands for my entertainment and LG has always been in the mix in terms of quality and life expectancy. Once you get this one in your living room (or wherever you're placing it) forget about leaving for a while. A LONG while. If you add a home theater surround sound (please don't disrespect this 70" with a sound bar) then, I fear you may never leave that room again. Overall - 5 Star Quality, 5 Star Viewing from a 5 Star Manufacturer. You can't possibly go wrong with this one, even if you wanted to.

Love this TV. The picture quality is crisp and clear. But I have to say the sound is ok but I have a soundbar attached so no issues. I love that on this LG provides over 200 free channels and I don't need any extra cable connections. So far I have been using the TV with Amazon fire stick and Google Chromecast with TV and it has been working great. The only I miss on this TV is having the ability to make a bluetooth connection to connect my headphones. Other than that this LG TV is perfect.

Definitely a good TV for the price. Very loud and clear even without a soundbar connected. Was very easy to mount to the wall considering it's 70 inches. Picture quality is 8/10 but you know it's a series 7 TV. I also bought the same TV for my dad so I would recommend it for purchase
