Had this TV for just a little over a year switching from a Samsung that died just under three years of normal use. There is now a permanent red line down about a quarter of the way to the center of the screen on the left side. The picture has been great up until this point. I’ve tried doing all the recommended fixes found by online, but after doing some extra research I’m now left with the knowledge that it’s probably a faulty mother board, faulty LED strip, faulty control board etc. it’s a shame because the picture has been quite excellent for the price and size of the TV. Guess I’ll have to wait and research a more reliable replacement. For a TV of this kind to have issues after only a little over a year of use is pretty sad, especially for a brand that’s supposed to be a standard setter in the business. I guess I’ll be getting an extended warranty from Best Buy on my next TV purchase from them so I can get an easy swap out should I ever run into problems with the next TV. Buyer beware.

Only 7 months and already malfunctioning

Before we walked into the store to purchase a 70-75” tv, we had our mind set on a Samsung that was mostly comparable to this LG in terms of price and features. Regrettably, we allowed the employee to talk us into getting this particular model by LG. Well about five months into owning this we already started to experience a temporary malfunction where the TV would automatically turn itself off within five seconds of turning it on, repeatedly for about a day or two. But before we even got to contact the Geek Squad, it had stopped turning off automatically. So we figured they wouldn’t be able to replicate this problem and thus wouldn’t be able to fix it, so we let it go. Then just recently, within the last couple days, the picture started having this issue as shown in the pics with the vertical and horizontal lines and the black vertical bar on the lower left side of the screen. And this is still ongoing so we’re definitely gonna report this and see how BB decides to resolve it. If given the option, we’d definitely go back to a Samsung.

This is my second LG tv (same model) I’ve purchased this year. Upon setup, 5 minutes after Geek Squad left, a green line appeared to strip down my screen. It had pixel damage which can happen with any tv, but I found that ironic. The new tv I can review now and it’s a basic tv. There isn’t anything that stands out about the picture, not crisp and defined. The sound is ok, but for larger rooms, you’d definitely need a sound bar. The LG free tv doesn’t have as many options as Samsung, or cool features as the Samsung for relaxation. If I were shopping, I’d definitely go with the Samsung models over this. Not the worst, but certainly not the best or close.

Customers services was really good, however I'm having issues with the product. There are lines and clouds on the screen.. waste of money. Poor quality
