After doing a lot of research on different sites, I decided to purchase the LG 75UH8500 television. What a great purchase! As always, Best Buy was fantastic during the buying process. They treated me like they appreciated my business, in addition to having the best price out there. The picture is amazing & we love how sleek it is for a 75" television. This TV is huge compared to our old 55" LG.

i bought this tv in 4k 3d and simply and very happy to have another 4k 3d tv....i bought 2 more LG 4k 3d tvs in 2017 (another 75 inch, and a 65 inch) sadly i heard they stopped making 3d tvs, so i have enough to last the rest of my life.

The 4K/ UHD aspect of the LG delivers on performance. The elegance of design could have been improved upon, yet for the money its a great value purchase. 3D function is fairly effective in passive form, and smart function is capable of operating Netflix application without delay or lag.

Enjoying this TV very much. After some calibration recommended settings from AVS forum the colors just pop. Watching 4K is like you are actually there and the up conversion from 1080P to 4K is excellent. Some issues with back lighting but not enough to really bother me. This TV is mostly watched in a dark room and have no problems at all with the brightness of the screen as others have noted. Viewing during the day is excellent also.

I did a lot of research when I decided to upgrade my TV. It came down to this or the Sony XBR75X940D as I have a number of 3D movies, which I wanted to continue watching even though most manufacturers have moved away from 3D. I read a lot of negative reviews about the 3D capabilities of this TV, so wasn't expecting much when I arranged a demo at my local Best Buy. I have to say that I was blown away! What I expected to be a weakness, ended up being the reason I bought this TV. I thought the 3D was amazing. I took along my 3D Avatar blu ray, and hands down this was the best 3D I have seen on any TV. I was advised by the Best Buy rep why the Sony was a much better TV spec wise, but from the comparisons I made during the demo, I felt that this TV was just as good, if not better at the things that were important to me (3D quality, picture quality, smart TV capabilities, ease of use, ease of configuration). I was also worried that the TV would not look as impressive in my home, as the viewing experience is normally optimized in store...I have now had the TV for around a week, and love it even at home than I did in the store. the picture quality is excellent, it is very easy to configure (I found the standard display setting options to be fine for me), and I love the TV's ability to "convert" a 2D picture to a 3D one. I watch a lot of sports, and watching the World Series games and my favorite soccer team in 3D has added a new level of enjoyment for me. I am extremely happy with this TV, as it has exceeded every expectation I had of it.

I had read reviews suggesting it was not as bright as competing models. In fact, my Best Buy had two LG's: one on the wall, presumably, set up by Best Buy, and one in a LG display, presumably, set up by LG. The one in the display was noticeably brighter. When mine was delivered and set up there was a recent (dated in July) software update. This may have fixed the settings issue, as I have been happy with the brightness without having to make the elaborate adjustments I have seen online. Be sure to turn on the HDR as it is not on by default. Its amazing both from the Samsung HDR Blu Ray and from Amazon.

I own many large TV units over 55 and 70. I wanted 4k in the front room after I saw it on my 55 in my master. I bought this 75 being they dont have a 70 so I bought it for $3k. I am a 3D watcher and I love seeing things pop out. Why its not catching on I dont know. Alice did a good job adding 3D popping images but movies like Avatar only did Depth style 3D. They should have added Pop lokie Alice it it would have helped the 3D Consumers. This TV looks great with Netflix, pictures are better, can see the difference totally. If you dont watch 3D then get one that doesnt come with if for about half the price.

Picture quality could be sharper-not enough black color contrast. Picture response is a little slow-can notice distortion on fast-moving sequences. Paid for a picture quality "tune" after 150 hrs of use. I hope this will increase the quality

This picture is absolutely wonderful. Watched Avatar on 3D and was simply amazing. Being an avid sports fan the size and picture quality make the games much more exciting. The easy on the eyes setting is a great addition for this tv. No strain on eyes when watching from any distance.

This tv has an unbelievable picture. Great features. Our PS 4 looks great when we play on this tv. No blur at all.

It's price is a little on the high side but the picture is really good and the built-in speakers sound good.

Love the bright colors and the ability to see it well from sharp angles off center. Sound is very good, too.

In general the TV is good, I love the apps section and the magic remote but the black and light bleed through is terrible. So bad that I wanted to return it but my wife didn't want to go through the trouble

4k is the future! And this device let's you have the most amazing quality of picture.

There isn't much this tv cant do. Pretty user friendly. Great picture from all angles. Great buy.

Picture is beautiful, size is amazing. Navigation is super easy using apps and external devices.
