It's got the latest OS with all the latest standards. 8K looks stunning even if just viewing it on YouTube. The real issue I found is that the IPS panel used in this has extremely distracting IPS glow from most angles off center. It's most noticeable in dark scenes where blooming is present and makes the IPS glow worse. I think the backlight tunning could have been refined a bit more (hopefully it gets patched?) since the glow is quite bad in dark scenes even compared to other TVs. Might be a limitation of IPS as a panel in such a size. Regardless, for the price, it's hard to argue that it isn't a great value TV. So it's clear, all my gripes are in HDR, but SDR looks incredible with zero issues.

Turn on local dimming and dark scenes look very bad ghosting around lit areas. Turn off local dimming and the blacks are super bright grey. The HDMI is only 2.1 not great for 8K. The ethernet port is not 2.5G so again not great for 8K. The UI settings just don't give enough controls to correct the picture fully. It's a bit pricy for having these negatives. Now the Pro: Dolby Vision is great. You can stream over 5G, best for 8K streaming. Most of the common apps are built in, but I've seen them studder and not stream as smooth as an HDMI box. The best thing about the TV is the 8K upscaling AI. Good source material can look amazing, bright scenes not the dim with dimming issues.

The sound coming out of the TV is amazing. It comes with built in system to watch streaming services. Great Buy all around.

The brightness is resilient during the day and looks even better at night. Even though we use a sound bar, the tv sound sounds like we don’t even need the sound bar!!

It's also great that LG now includes 5 years of software updates on their WebOS program. The Geek Squad did an excellent job setting it up!

8K looks stunning

Maybe it's placebo but you can pick out much more detail on the 8k! Off angle viewing does have some blooming or halo effect but otherwise amazing TV.

As a photographer and a Jeweler I have a very accurate and OCD set of eyes, and let me tell you this TV, if not better, hands down the best, top-of-the-line color, brightness, and dimming zones, resolution, and sound quality compared to OLEDs without the fear of image-burn. I would defiantly recommend this TV, 100%.

The tv was great until it started having problems. It started having problems within the return exchange period. However when I contacted Best buy they refused to let me exchange or return it for a refund. And they told me to call manufacturer. So now I filed a dispute with my credit card company because I'm not going to pay for a tv that is defective and they refused to let me exchange or return with the return window. Companies shouldn't be allowed to sell production they are not going to follow their own return polices.
